They were very quick at checkin and accommodating to give me a room where I could easily access and keep an eye on my company vehicle. The rooms are nice, spacious, with a comfy bed, and arm chair. The area seems nice. Several nice restaurants nearby. Or the hotel has in house dining and a very nice bar. Probably one of the nicer bars I've seen in a hotel. First time coming here, wanted to stay in Omaha for the night, this place had tons of parking and there's plenty of things to do in walking distance as well. Staff was really friendly, checking in was easy I did see a few cock roaches on the way to the room. Thankful for a first floor room too. Rooms were okay but I didn't like the hook style locking system in the bathroom. No complimentary breakfast but you get free cookies. I would love to come back and check out the pool. The room was clean and modern but the bathroom was a tad bit small, it didn't have much counter space for all of your toiletries/makeup area (us ladies got to have our counter space!). Front staff workers were pleasant and helpful. The pool area is huge and clean probably one of the biggest pool area for a hotel that I've seen. There's also a nice cute patio area with a bean bag board game and lounge chairs for you to enjoy. I'm not sure if they rent the area out for birthday parties but it kinda gives you that vibe. Gym area is spacious with plenty of working cardio machines and free weights. Parking area is decent, I didn't have any issues finding a parking spot even with having to check in later in the evening. We needed a place to stay during our trip and came across this place. The hotel is located right off the freeway which was great. I was able to reserve the room online and even pick my room straight from the app. Upon arriving the guy at the front desk was super kind and gave us waters and cookies. The parking lot here is huge and all around the hotel. We stayed on the top floor which we got awesome sunrises and sunset views! The room was super clean and the beds were comfy. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. Guests were quiet and didn't hear any noise at all. Offers free breakfast and free parking which is awesome. Highly recommend staying here. read more

Dirty dingy property. These must be fake reviews or these folks have never traveled. This is not what you should or would expect from Doubletree or Hilton. Arrived to a dirty room with stains in the carpet and a dirty bathroom. There were hairs around the sink as of someone shaved and no one cleaned properly. I called the front desk and the one employee on-site (the sam guy with no mask) says he can tell housekeeping to clean the bathroom tomorrow. I asked if I am supposed to clean the bathroom myself or if he'd change us to a clean and more updated or renovated room. He replied that there was no one else around and not other rooms available. DO NOT EXPECT this to be like at her doubletree or Hilton properties. The accommodations and service are truly lacking. read more

First, I have to express my disappointment that despite the Omaha mandate on masks and Hilton's mask policy, I didn't see a single employee from the cleaning crew wear a mask the entire five days I stayed here. They walked up and down my hallway every day without even an attempt of putting on a mask. At one point I saw at least six employees in the hallway together and none of them wore a mask. Very nerve wracking and if defeats the purpose of the policy and the extra cleaning protocols if the cleaning crew aren't wearing masks when cleaning the rooms. In addition, I found several things about my room that made my room uncomfortable or unsafe: -The sliding door to the bathroom didn't close all the way. If I was staying with another person we could've watched each other use the bathroom. -I found some dead beetles near the bed (these were not bed bugs, I am very familiar with bedbugs) -The wooden headboard to the bed was covered in dust. Enough that I had to use a cleaning wipe to remove some of it. The wall behind the bed board also had chunks of dust on it. -There was no toilet paper holder. Just a large screw sticking out of the cabinet -Right where the carpet met the tile near the doorway, there were several sharp pieces of metal (like nails but without the fine point) sticking up out of the carpet, all along the edge. Probably whatever was holding the carpet down near the edge. I discovered this by stepping on one of them. -The door handle to the bathroom was rusted -No microwave, no safe, and tiny fridge Last, but definitely not least: the chair looked like it had dried semen all over it Thanks, Hilton read more

This hotel is exactly what I want when driving for a few hours. It's right off the highway, big parking lot, updated, clean, comfortable beds and just 15 minutes from the airport. The pool and gym looked nice too, but we didn't get a chance to use it. Front desk staff is very welcoming. One thing I always look forward to at a Doubletree is the fresh warm cookies and bottled waters. The bar/restaurant was above average and had a pretty decent selection of beer for a hotel. Great hotel and very well kept. Hotel looked much newer than it actually was. This goes to show how much care the staff puts into the hotel. I'll definitely be back the next time we are in town to visit my wife's family. read more

Where do I start... Most of the housekeeping staff do not wear a mask. They yell..yes..I mean yell..down the hall at each other. Many cars were broken into..with glass being left in the parking lot. I stayed there for work for a few weeks, and if I asked housekeeping for towels..they seemed put off by it. Party city on the weekends..sprinkled with a prostitute here and there. Several times cops came to the hotel and banged on doors and took people out. Elevators and hallways smelled like weed. Walked my dog out by the parking lot and saw a needle in the mulch. He almost stepped on it. Management was told about it and it was still there when I checked out 2 weeks later. Rude manager..wouldn't ever smile, say hello, or even make eye contact. Beds were comfortable. Room safe, mini fridge, microwave. Cool barn door slide for the bathroom with a rusted handle though. Nice big shower head with good pressure..wasn't always hot though. Towels seemed like they maybe werent clean? Just seemed dingy..with some stains. Didn't have any kind of a smell..good or bad..to them. Make sure you're current on your tetanus shot before staying here. Always wear shoes or socks on the carpet. Socks weren't salvageable by the end of the day. I would stay at a Doubletree again, honestly. Just NEVER at this location. They need to maybe be a little better at picking who they want to manage their hotels. read more

Would have rated this 1 star, except for the fact that the staff was actually very nice and trying to accommodate my concerns. If you have never visited this hotel, and I suspect you haven't if you are looking at these reviews and even considering staying here again, I would probably avoid it. First impressions: Dirty, each floor and area has its own bad smell, disrepair, expensive just barely above basic breakfast with bad service. I asked for a new room twice. The first room had a dirty toilet and shower walls, crumbs on the carpet. The second had dirty shower walls, dirty mirrors, and dried streams of pump soap or shampoo running down the backside of the tub. Not scrubbed. The last I accepted but honestly is not great. They provided a small suite, which had dirty walls with brown and black smudges and streaks in the bathroom, a faucet that leaks, barely wiped down countertops, either a dirty and unscrubbed toilet and general disrepair like the rest. I would say it was the least bad of them in a way, but at this point I knew it was either go to another hotel or just deal with it. I travel a lot for work and I thought a double tree would be an upgrade but I was quite disappointed and think it does the Hilton brand a disservice. read more

Came to town to visit family and stayed here. Greeted as soon as I walked in & very clean in the lobby. The bed was probably the best thing about my stay--so comfortable! But the gnats were very annoying. They were there to greet us walking into the room! Not a swarm of them but a good 5-10 gnats. Other than that, no issues but I'd rethink staying here again based on the gnats alone. read more

What an excellent welcome. The young lady at the front desk was awesome!! There is a nice restaurant and bar attached called Vida. It is where they do the breakfast as well. Fairly easy to get to but not very familiar with Omaha. It is a fairly big hotel with plenty open space downstairs. The pool area was very spacious however didn't utilize the amenities. The gym was fairly spacious, very clean and the equipment appeared to all be in great shape. I was very pleased to be able to utilize. The room was solid. Simple nothing fancy. I had one or two dings around the room which is not a big deal at all. I did have a small issue with the shower drain but staff handled well when I mentioned it. Not too much to say here other than a solid hotel and I would recommend. read more

Pretty decent fitness center for a hotel. This is a beautiful Holiday Inn. One night I checked in, I noticed a large bath towel was missing from the room. The hotel staff promptly delivered me one. The hotel staff calls you to ask if your stay is adequate, which I think is neat. Very clean rooms and common areas. My only complaint is the hearing/cooling unit. There is not an option to select a "fan only" for some white noise. read more

We even brought a noise machine (have a toddler) and could still hear the neighbors talking, coughing and the alarm that went off multiple times at 5:30am was so loud I thought it was my husband's. This is the hotel room I was given while on business. Walked into the bathroom and stepped on nails sticking out of the ground! I almost went to urgent care but I was in an unfamiliar area and had to report to a customer the next day so instead I went downstairs and spoke with Cole the attendant and let him know about the incident. He seemed very uninterested and didn't care I had stepped on the nails. On the contrary he stated that I shouldn't have been walking barefoot inside the room! It was obvious he didn't care one bit about about my injury or the nails. I ask that he create an incident report which he refused to do. Eventually the hotel manager Eric Romero reached out to me and said their insurance company would be contacting me with a report. This was on 11/19/21 it's now 11/27/21 and I have not heard back from anyone. I'll be contacting an attorney because it's a obvious they don't care about their guests safety. To add insult to injury I received no points for my stay. I'm Diamond status but that means nothing to Hilton apparently. read more

Although it was near I 80 I did not hear too much noise as I was on the fifth floor facing 72nd St. The restaurant in the hotel is also pretty good. The exterior of the DoubleTree looks nice, but don't let that deceive you. This hotel is subpar to say the least. There are stains all over the hallway carpets and walls. The ice machine on the 5th floor was the only one that worked and the "cleaning" light was flashing. The ice room on the third floor smelled terrible (like sewage, though there was nothing visible). In the room, the carpets were also stained. The lighting was terrible with poorly placed lamps and dim compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs with their ominous white hue. It was very difficult to see after the sun went down. The shower's water pressure was dismal and the tub floor was extremely slippery. The toilet paper holder was broken and the style was one with just a single point attaching to the wall and the other end open. Hence, the toilet paper would easily slide off the holder and fall on the bathroom floor. Sink counter space was limited. I found the bed to be quite uncomfortable. This led to a night of tossing and turning and restless sleep. I wouldn't stay here again. The exterior is enticing, but inside this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Best advice I can give you, stay at the other Holiday Inn down 72nd Street near the Ralston Arena...no seriously. I paid $500 for a four-night stay with breakfast vouchers. Upon entering the hotel room late at night, the guy working the front desk was able to check me in pretty quickly. I got in the room and passed out without giving a thought to the quality of the room. Don't worry, it was in good shape. The A/C worked fine, the TV was good, the bed was comfy and the place looked new. But that's about as far as I go with anything positive... The cleaning service was awful. I had my room serviced only one day, and that was on my second day of the stay. I was able to track down room service the other days and tell them my room would be empty if they wanted to clean it, but of course, they never cleaned it. We had to call down for extra towels too, which never came. We ended up going to the pool and getting towels from there. Paying for breakfast vouchers was a sham at best. Most Holiday Inns have free breakfast, but this one doesn't. The vouchers give you access to a breakfast buffet, which is about the same quality as any chain hotel that offers free breakfast. The food was either cold, dry or tough. Save the money and order breakfast to your room in the morning, it's much better quality. The restaurant and bar were a nice touch, but we never went. Parking is plentiful, but it's mostly in the back of the property, and you need a key to access most any door except for the front door...even during regular day hours. There are a couple of gas stations nearby but no grocery store within a decent walking distance. Which reminds me...our room was missing a microwave and fridge. Not good! All in all, I'm never staying here again. This isn't place worth the time or the money. read more

Gorgeous, clearly-newer hotel. Some bad things and some good things: Pros: -Gorgeous and new. You can definitely tell. Everything is still so shiny and clean. The lobby literally makes the photographer in me happy. Lots of accent furniture and so bright and white. -Room was extremely clean upon check-in. -Staff was really friendly. My first room was on the ground floor and one of the nearby rooms was slightly loud. I called down, and they had me moved into a much quieter room within a couple minutes. Very friendly. -Fitness room is gorgeous. Tons of treadmills, cable weight machine, medicine balls, room to do body-weight exercises, mirrors, and more. Absolutely gorgeous. -The in-hotel restaurant closes at 10PM. A little early for me. However, literally next door is a Burger King. it's not high-class eating, but if you're hungry, it's right out the door and to the left. (Not even across a street) -Free Wi-Fi. Nothing blazing fast, but I'm using Yelp and e-mail just fine with no problems. -Legitimate mini fridge in the hotel. It's giant and open, and they didn't pack it with over-priced items and leave you no space. -Price is VERY comparable to all of the 5-ish hotels here on this block. Would definitely choose this over other ones. It's actually pretty affordable for what it offers, I would say. Cons: -Hotel layout can be a little confusing. It's long, flat, and winding. Once you find your room, you'll be able to find it again, but learning the layout of this hotel takes awhile. -The pool. Since this is a Hilton, I expected a pool for fitness. Nope. It starts at 2 and a half feet and goes up to 4 feet in depth. (4'2" to be exact). Yes, that's 4 feet. You can't really swim laps or tread in the pool. However, the fitness center is nice, and there's a TV plus seating all over the pool area, so it looks like the pool was more designed for children or social events. -The pillows. Seriously. Why are they so poofy but get so flat? -Our room had space for a microwave. There is no microwave. It's weird. read more

For that, I must knock this hotel. Vida, next door, has decent food, but the delivery and the protocol of that delivery is laughable. We were brought food with no silverware, we were passed hot plates without warning as the waiter just stood there handing off dishes. We were not brought a wine-opener for a bottle of wine. The dessert, which was a la carte ice cream with an apple crumble was served all-together. The ice cream was melted and the crumble was no longer crisp. It was inedible. We were too tired on our cross-country road trip from Philly to LA to call and complain. It's sad, in such a wonderful and contemporary, updated Holiday Inn, to have this level of service. There is a built in serving area and tall tables, but who is going to have a reception/event in a small holiday inn pool?? Do be careful as the tile around the pool is fairly slippery. I saw two kids fall in the first ten minutes we were in the pool area. The room was clean and contemporary, but the cutout where a refrigerator would have sat was empty. I can't tell you how grateful I was to have a front staff who was professional and friendly, a room that had a sticker on it and was spotless, and a list of restaurants that would deliver to our room. If marijuana being smoked in front of children is ok with you.....stay here. I've traveled with my daughter's for competitive sports for 8 years. We encountered an employee sitting in his vehicle smoking marijuana then returned to his position working at the bar. Not only was this individual extremely rude, arrogant and talked negatively if his employer, he also degraded and belittled the young lady working with him behind the bar. I requested a manager or general manager the next day and was told "she will be onsite Monday sometime". Several vehicles were broken into, glass was all over the parking lot. No dining onsite. Pool area was disgusting. Hilton should reconsider the brand on this specific location. As a Hilton Diamond Club member I will continue discussing this trip at a corporate level. Do Not Stay Here! At least 5 cars were broken into in their parking lot the night I stayed. The parking lot is in the back of the building and has a fence around it. Seemed like it was reasonably safe. Not so. Also turns out, the one camera they have in the back, doesn't capture anything in the parking lot. Had to stay an extra night while waiting for my car to be repaired, and they never even swept up the glass from all of these break ins! Glass was everywhere in the parking lot! I truly felt like they couldn't have cared less, and it obviously wasn't the first time this happened here. Some of the staff definitely gave me the impression that this was not unusual. The manager never even reached out me. The day front desk girl was super nice and sympathetic- that is the only nice thing I can say about the place. Carpets have bleach stains all over and were not clean (definitely wouldn't walk on them with bare feet), bathroom counter top had red stains on it, toilet paper holder was loose, chips in the walls, barn door style bathroom door scratched up and leaves a gouge in wall when open. The place is in serious need of an update, even though they just had one. Find somewhere else- Not worth the risk. I am a Hilton Gold member, and this was was a very disappointing DoubleTree by Hilton experience. read more

I happened to stay the night the Cubs won the world series, and my co-workers and I were down in the bar watching the game until way too late.....I would have liked to spend a few more hours in that comfy bed, but alas. I forgot my toothpaste, and they hooked a sister up. They also had a little shop with local Nebraska goods, and who doesn't need those items?! Hello local apple butter and beeswax lotion. We were in town for the Olympic Swim Trials. The hotel had many swimmers (several college teams) and spectators. We asked at check in if there would be a shuttle to the venue each day. They said to check back in the morning. Each time we checked if there was a shuttle scheduled the desk attendants looked at us like we were crazy. We would have been willing to pay a fee for the service. A shuttle bus sat outside the hotel most of the week in the drop off area - empty. The hotel staff missed an opportunity to be good stewards of customer service (and to make some $$). We had a fire alarm go off in the middle of the night. Most guests knew to exit via the stairs and leave the building. The desk attendant was on her cell phone (most likely calling a manager because she didn't know what to do). It would have been nice, in what could have been a serious situation, to have staff remind guest to exit the hotel, inform them that a fire sensor went off and that they would give the all clear when the fire department cleared the scene. Hallway doors are very thin. You could hear any hallway conversation very clearly. We had to put the "Do not disturb" on our door several mornings because housekeeping was knocking at 8AM. We kept telling ourselves that the beds were comfortable and that we were excited to be in town for the trials. For the price we paid in uber and taxis we could have stayed somewhere downtown closer to the venue. I wouldn't book this hotel again. read more
