Stayed here recently for a few nights. It was quiet, that is a plus. We stayed over the weekend so was thankful. Pillows were great. That was it. The was so humid, the moisture in the room was so bad two of the walls were wet. The mirror looked like the picture I posted the whole weekend. We asked to change rooms, nothing available. We stayed on the first floor where when we wanted ice we had to ask for it at the front desk. Don't think we will be back. read more

I have visited Omaha for work travel 2-3 times weekly in the past 4 years. During this time I was able to stay at various properties in Omaha, primarily from Marriott, but there are many reasons why I made this recently renovated Regency Omaha my go-to for work trips. The first thing I want to emphasize is the superior customer service that all team members exemplify. It starts with the GM (Bill), who, just like the rest of team, always has a smile on his face. I have watched him on numerous occasions, get his hands, dirty, and help out his team members, which shows he is a great leader that actually helps out the team instead of only delegating work. The front desk has many very helpful and friendly faces, many of which I unfortunately don't remember their names, but one person stands out, Nyssa. She has been sending pre-arrival Emails and follow-up notes on many of my stays. I have seen her on several occasions working the night shift and be the smiling face again behind the desk in the morning hours already. Besides, putting in a lot of hours, she also puts in a lot of effort to ensure all guests have a superior experience. The kitchen and bar staff is the cherry on top, as they are all super friendly. The breakfast available at this hotel is one of the best I have experienced, particularly at this price range. I have stayed at $400+ per night properties that have far less offerings. The fresh omelette station and fresh berries offerings are a terrific touch that you don't find at many hotels. Luz Maria and the other team members are always happy to help and even on days they are bombarded with every table being used, they continue carrying a big smile. I work for Mazda and we always preach to our dealers to exemplify Omotenashi to our guests (the Japanese mindset of hospitality and mindfulness) and this hotel does just that. This property is highly recommended for anyone needing a high-quality stay in the Omaha area. While I will no longer be visiting this city for work travel as I am switching roles within my company, I will definitely stay at this hotel when my wife and I come up here for personal travel. read more

The bartender and front desk people were amazing. The pool was awesome and the room was a regular hotel room nothing crazy. I will say the reason for the low rating I just got off the phone with someone on the operating line for this particular hotel and they were significantly rude. When confronted with being rude they did apologize but it was just unnecessary and made me uncomfortable read more

Fantastic Hotel staff! Very professional and very helpful! They still treat customers like royalty. Like what a stay at Marriott used to be in the past. Stays in the past used to be comfortable, enjoyable and delightful. Overall I noticed over the past few years that Marriott hotel guest services decline in their once well known professional and helpful attitude. I basically only stayed with Marriott hotels when I traveled. However, more recently I now think about staying with other brands like Hilton or Hyatt. Good job, Omaha Regency Marriott keeping the old marriott spirit of still treating your guests with highest regard! I wish you the very best! Keep up the good work. read more

My company has had our work party here for years, and it's always been perfect. Plenty of excellent apps, well stocked bars and good bartenders, a very large venue/many rooms/hallways to socialize in. The food here is great--good options and high quality. It was served fresh and warm despite our buffet setting. The only problem we've had is the parking garage fills up every year, making parking an issue as we have to walk a ways to get to the Marriot. Overall a great place for a large party venue if you need something upscale! read more

Stayed here for a week and did not really care for it. Mainly the HVAC system did not heat very well and is a constant on system. Changed rooms from my initial room due to it being 60° in there and the second room was not much better. The hallway decor is very dark and gloomy. One plus was the fitness center was very well equipped. read more

Great experience in a first class hotel! Clean room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Slept like a rock after long day of 6 hours travel to attend my granddaughter's White Coat Ceremony to become a Physician's Assistant! We were all starving and were promptly served in the Lounge with full menu offered. Food was delicious and they competed us brownie ice cream desserts (3!) after they heard about the celebration! I called property directly to be sure of early availability. The girl was extremely nice but upon arrival the man with greased back hair was extremely rude! I needed an accessible room(I'm an amputee) and he said nothing was ready (2;00 I was there) and said had I booked online they would have had something. I then said I can make a regular room with if they had a shower chair. He was snarky and said we don't. Ok whatever. I then asked if possibly they give a discount for Methodist hospital patients as this was my reason for traveling. He literally rolled his eyes and said no. He was so rude that the coworker next to him never looked up! I'm guessing she was the nice one I talked to earlier. Never have I felt so belittled! Needless to say, after traveling for hours, with an upcoming medical procedure....I left!!! Came out to my car to find the window broken out with items stolen. Went in and talked to the only manager available- the comptroller. Yet PMC, requires you to pay to park in the lot. You would think that with the added money they could have surveillance cameras. read more

I rarely totally dis a full service Marriott but this one disappoints on too many levels. Staff was excellent; but they have to spend a lot of time apologizing. The bathroom, though small, has been nicely remodeled; however the vanity sink drains at a rate of 1/16th of the faucet output and hot water is luke warm - same with the shower. The floor coverings are new but the furnishings are not. Check out the chair picture below. In general things are in disrepair, outdated and/or otherwise poorly maintained. The thermostat upon arrival was set at 71 and the room temp was 76. I lowered it to 66 and an hour later the room temp had dropped 1 degree. Went on a search for ice - only available at the front desk - that's no-tell motel stuff right there. I would imagine this property will not be a Marriott much longer, ownership obviously does not want to invest in upkeep. Day2 - I had to come back in and edit this - it was a baad review that I realize now that should have been worse. I added 2 pic's of the breaskfast offerings in the M lounge. They should be ashamed - terrible. Also found out that the elevators are AFU - up lights go down, down lights go up and floor lights may or may not light or be correct if they do. This place is horrible - run away..... read more

We've stayed at this Marriott a couple times while visiting my husband's family in Omaha. Overall it's been well maintained through the years for an older hotel. On our last visit here, the room was 78 degrees when we checked in. We turned down the heat but it didn't help. When we asked the front desk about it, they said that the heat was on for the entire building and individual rooms had no control. Our only option was to open our window, a maintenance worker came and unlocked the window for us and the temperature was tolerable for the rest of the trip. But it seems very odd that guests couldn't control their own room temps. Otherwise it was a fine stay, the hotel was clean and the breakfast and bar staff were all very nice. read more

This is a very dated property, albeit quite clean and with pleasant staff. The rooms are not huge but comfortable enough. A rare feature in today's hotels, if you don't like A/C'd air, the windows fully open! A rare bonus! The elevator has absolutely no ventilation, it's roomy, but it was immensely hot inside. If you get stuck inside, you are done! It could be a very bad experience if not health-threatening. The hallways also don't have any ventilation, very hot. No coffee/tea amenities inside the rooms or microwave. The super nice receptionist told me that she gave me an "upgraded" room with a..."pool view"! Well, take a look at the attached picture and let me know if you see a pool anywhere... The bathroom is nice, nothing extravagant but has nice features. Normally, this hotel isn't something to brag about but its price is very attractive, close to a major highway, the staff is friendly, might be worth giving it a try. read more

This 3 night stay I had a super special weekend planned, that brought along a few stressors (everything to go perfect), and the staff here were ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL from all departments! The night before I got to town a massive wind storm had knocked out power to literally thousands of people in Omaha, meaning traffic was brutal, roads were closed and hotels were in scramble mode (lots of last minute guest additions to help restore city wide power). However how many metaphorical "fires" the staff were putting out, I always received top service! The First gentleman that greeted me (Mike? Mark? Graham?) checked me in and was very polite. I spent about 2 mins in my room before I had, had enough of an odor I could smell. I politely walked back to reception desk, and upon asking to switch rooms, he accommodated my request without hesitation (again, nearly 100% capacity remember). He saw my things and a vase of flowers a friend had delivered to my room as a surprise and knew how important this weekend was... Upon checking into my new room, the TVs and phone lines were not working; a common situation during a power outage. The reception staff (a young lady, can't recall her name, I think it started with a "T"?) informed me there was a problem due to the storms and their engineering / maintenance department was working on resolving the issue throughout the hotel. I said I completely understand, and whenever someone can get here is fine. Within 15 minutes staff was in my room and had the tv / remote working! He was very helpful, non intrusive, yet friendly. The next day, I noticed my card was charged an incidental fee for an incorrect amount. What was supposed to be $50 (per day, that is refundable) turned out to be for $500.00! I called reception and they apologized and informed me the refund will be back in 5-7 business days. ‍. I had to politely inform her, "motion denied". I can't have that much money "frozen", accident or no accident. Now she is not in the accounting department so was kinda limited on her abilities; however she contacted someone in the accounting team and within minutes my refund was put back into my account, no questions asked! Again, saving my weekend! One morning I had breakfast, ($19.99 / including coffee, juices, full hot buffet) the young omelette station girl greeted me with positivity, and made an excellent omelette, just the way I requested (Fun fact, when breakfast is on point, the day is gonna be great!). My server was either Rachel, Rebecca, or Kimberly (?) but regardless, she was super polite, attentive, was was working hard to reset tables as their breakfast scene was wrapping up (10 AM)! Lastly, as I was staying 3 days, and had things set up in my room, on Saturday morning, I asked one of the maids on my floor, to simply make the bed, nothing else really needed. She said absolutely, double checked the list, and informed me exactly when she would be taking care of the room so I could expect a comfy bed with fresh sheets! From the front desk, engineering / maintenance, accounting, food / beverage, and housekeeping, I received the service I felt like was the norm for the wealthy in the Gilded age! I will only be staying at the Marriott in Regency upon ALL my trips to Omaha! All other Marriott's, the bar is set!!! Needless to say, the weekend was memorable and perfect!! Thank you for everyone working there, guests notice you!!!!! PS, the complimentary headphones in the gym were a nice touch in case of emergencies!! read more

I recently stayed at the Omaha Marriott after attending the Garth Brooks concert in Lincoln. When I programmed my GPS, I wound up at the Omaha Marriott Downtown, rather this property. So make sure you enter the address. Checking into a hotel at 12:15am, isn't lots of fun. There was a friendly front desk hostess who greeted me. Can't remember if she recognized my Lifetime Titanium Elite status or not. Since I hadn't had dinner, I was starving. The hotel's restaurant was closed, and I didn't want to wait for food to be delivered. The hotel has a store that sells a variety of quick to heat meals, but it was literally out of everything when I arrived. I went to the restaurant to get breakfast. It seemed like it was understaffed at 9am. No one to greet you. I ordered an omelet and grabbed some coffee from a reception room. When I came back, I met a server named Mary and explained I was an Ambassador guest who was really hungry. She got me some juice and I finished my breakfast. Left tips for her and the omelet maker. When I returned to my room I noticed scarring on the door, outside and inside. Appears new locks had been installed. I also found crumbs on the floor by the chair. This is an older Marriott property. It's located near lots of shopping and fine restaurants if you aren't making a quick visit like I was. The bathroom in my unit had been totally updated. It was probably the nicest feature in the hotel. Given my loyalty to the Marriott brand, I have high expectations for any stay. It wasn't worth the $280, plus tax, that I paid for a Saturday night. Upon my check-out, I received an email from the front office manager, that copied the general manager and others at the hotel, asking for feedback about my stay. I wrote a detailed reply later that day and never received any acknowledgement. I was left very disappointed. read more

TL;DR: Great value for business travelers. Hotel offers modern room upgrades, friendly staff, nice fitness center, ample parking, and good dining options. I'm typically a Hilton guy but ended up staying at the Omaha Marriott for a work trip recently. The experience reaffirms that it might be time to reassess my loyalty program. Check-in was a breeze even though the front desk was busy. My room was clean and boasted modern upgrades. The only quibble being the shower head is probably too large for tub since it sprays onto the floor if the curtain isn't completely shut. This probably accounts for the slightly moldy smell of the bathroom even though it was thoroughly clean and essentially spotless. Fitness center was spacious and well equipped as far as standard hotels go. And, breakfast in the morning was great. They've got a really awesome chef who does omelets your way with a ton of choices. The only downside of my stay was that our ride to the airport - which was arranged by the front desk - was snagged by another guest. However, Lori from the front desk stepped in and got us to the airport on time and earned a loyal customer in the process. read more

Whenever I travel to Omaha, easily one of the highlights is getting to stay at the Omaha Marriott. The team at this hotel are outstanding and feel like family. From Maddison and Justin at the front desk, to Gina in sales, Peggy in the concierge lounge, and Glenn and Gail at the lobby bar, the team goes out of their way to great a great experience for frequent guests (and probably non-frequent guests too, I just can't relate). Outside of the team, the amenities do not disappoint. Rooms are clean and modern, the concierge lounge offers 24/7 access to beverages and light snacks, and the menu at the lobby bar has great variety and should always be paired with one of Glenn's signature Old Fashioneds. I also really like the surrounding area -- head down a few blocks and you'll be at Big Papio Trail, a great place to get in a run. Look forward to seeing the team again tomorrow! read more

I stayed here in January 2023 during a business trip. Hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful. They had remodel work going on in another wing, but I didn't hear any noise. My room was recently remodeled. New floors, new bathroom, new and updated furnishings. And it was super clean!! I travel a lot and I'm very picky about clean floors, corners, walls, etc. The hotel manager sent an email the first day to make sure everything was okay. And I got another email after I checked out. The cleaning people were super friendly as well. I will definitely stay here again for my next trip! Bonus is that hotel is located a block from Dodge where highways intersect. Whole Foods is next door. Upscale shopping area (w/ Ann Taylor) and several restaurants across the street - walking distance. Other large mall less than 1/2 mile away. Area seems very safe, nice neighborhoods with large homes nearby. read more

In the words of a fellow traveler, this hotel is a dated, dirty dump. We started off with the intake clerk charging my room $366 x 2 times (we had 2 rooms), even though I booked and paid in advance on Marriott.com. It seems like a lot for incidentals. - When I asked for an explanation, the clerk told me he was sure the charge would "fall off". But why would I be charged additional room rates upon check-in! The clerk needs more training and Marriott should change their policies regarding how the information is conveyed to the location when booked through Marriott.com. In addition clerks should be more proactive regarding issue resolution. More training is needed. - We could not control the temperature in our room, I had the fan set at high and the thermostat set at 60 degrees and the temp was 80! I did not sleep on night #1 because of the temp. When I called the front desk they explained that I could turn the thermostat off and then come back an hour later and turn it on and the A/C would work. It didn't. The second time I called, the clerk said they would send an engineer, which did not resolve the issue and there was no communication as a result. The third time I called, I was told they were having trouble with the HVAC and we could change rooms. I asked if we could check the temp in the other room first and she said they were having trouble throughout the hotel. Then why would changing rooms help??!!! - I did not sleep the second night again because of the temperature in the room. I had to go outside to cool off! At 10:30 this morning, the fire alarm sounded. Instead of having a speaker acknowledging a false alarm, the hotel stood by as all of the guests began streaming out of their rooms and dragging their luggage down the stairs. Are we really going to expect guests to rely on word of mouth to each other?- Ultimately, I believe this location would probably be more successful with better communication and training. I intend to request a credit for the loss of sleep, since ultimately that is why I pay for a hotel! Will update if there is more communication to my satisfaction. read more

I am sad to write a negative review on this hotel, as I've had a number of nice stays here over the past 15 years; however, the hotel is feeling old, my room is hot despite being set at 68, the fitness center is hot and the fitness center bathroom doesn't have liquid soap. Instead there is an old bar of soap that I guess everyone is supposed to share? There is a little water machine but no cups. Worst of all, the concierge lounge is closed. No complimentary coffee, water or food for rewards members. I just stayed at the Marriott in Sioux City IA for the first time, and that place is night and day versus the Omaha Regency Circle Marriott. Don't bother. You're better off at a Courtyard or Springhill Suites. The hotel is worn, with antique HVAC, the service is lousy, and the amenities don't rate three stars. Marriott branded hotels used to be a step up, but frankly they are emblematic of Marriott's absolute disregard for their customers. Yeah, it's better than a Super 8, hit for what you pay, it's not worth it. Will absolutely not be coming back --Update-- So, was convinced by colleague to give it another try, and had a better experience. The room remodel is fairly nice, the HVAC in this room was actually pretty good. The TV doesn't have any movie channels, or Netflix/Vudu et al options, BUT they don't lock the HDMI ports, so you can just hook your laptop up. Service was better this time around, and they do have room safes now. So, the visit was nice, actually. read more

The staff was very nice and that was the saving grace! Looks like they remodeled the lobby and restaurant recently but the room I stayed in was very old and really needs attention.
