Ralph is officially my homeboy! OMG! Thank goodness for RALPHS! My place to pick up TOFU!!! Tonight I got a deal! Yes, I'm letting out my tofu secret. ^____^ $5 for 5 tofu! AMAZING!!! You do the math... that's $1 each! wowzers. I bought out all the firm tofu! yay for me. I usually get my tofu at my favorite grocery store, but they been sold out twice and I've been coming to Ralphs for my tofu fix! Thanks Ralph for hookin' it up. - Miss Yelp 2010. read more

Ralphs - .99 for tofu!!! Deals - Grocery Near Me - Venice, California

Bottomline: A reliable neighborhood grocery chain with decent selection and long hours. SELECTION: You can often find some of the same organic products that Whole Foods carries at non-Whole Foods prices. Given the spotty selection at Whole Foods later into the week, Ralph can be your fill-in, or just your standard well-stocked grocery store with both organic and regular produce. HOURS: Open from 5a-2a daily, you can get your fix on a near-24-hour basis. PARKING: The parking lot is HUGE and you should always be able to find a space even during holiday rushes. read more

I am always shopping at this ralphs because it's close to my home, I still shop here because the groceries are great, but this review is for their bakery. I'm giving one star (I wish I could do 0 stars) for THEIR BAKERY. I went on the Saturday before Halloween, to order a custom Halloween sheet cake for my jobs potluck, and they either never made the cake, or they sold it to someone before I came in to pick it up. ............ They had no record of it, yet I have my receipt for it and all they did was shrug. The guy that took my order was off that day, so the new young chick couldn't do anything for me. Their manager came by and gave us a huge discount on a pre made cake to buy, so I had to buy a crummy basic cake for the potluck, and was so disappointed. The girl wrote happy Halloween on it and seriously I could of done better job. I was so mad at the whole situation I couldn't look at the cake even at my job. I was embarrassed and felt played. Never EVER order a custom cake at that bakery, chances are, they won't take you serious. read more

I come here in the late eves normally, the staff is always great here, from security to cashiers. Everyone is always so nice! It is a well stocked location, very close to Ross, which is open till midnight, I swear it's a staycation in itself! Great hot food, and good selection of greens etc. I always find everything I need here, so I have no complaints. If u like after-work and late eve shopping, this shopping area is for you! read more

A big supermarket where you're treated like it's your neighborhood grocery store. The employees are always friendly, and will walk you to the aisle for the item you're looking for. The store must be a great place to work, as we often see the same smiling employees most every time we go. There are usually baggers at every checkout stand, and the cashiers are quick to process your coupons, and get you on your way. In a hurry? there are a number of the "Do it Yourself" check out stands, that are easy to use, and there's always an an attendant available if you hit a snag. Prices are low, and there's many brand to choose from, however the "Ralph's" products are lower in price, but not quality! If you gotta go grocery shopping, ( and we all do) this is the place to go! read more

Consistently poor service!!! Deli is so slow I don't even buy lunch meat there anymore. Bakery didn't even have someone behind the counter. When we asked for someone to help us we were told "he's at lunch"! No backup? Only two registers open with about 8-10 people in each line and at least 25 people in the self checkout line. Whoever is managing this location is inept. We ended up leaving without buying anything. Unless you like the feeling banging your head against a wall ... don't waste your time! Huge fail!!! read more

My biggest complaint is the time an order takes at the deli counter. It can turn a 5 min grocery store run into a 15-20 min one. There needs to be an improved system to take and fulfill orders. They don't know the meat names, where to find them if they're out in the front section and the process is very slow. I've seen many people get frustrated and just walk away. If I see more than 2 people waiting, I won't go. Highly recommend an online ordering system and more staff that is properly trained. Pretty average overall but it's very close to me so I come all the time. They need a larger organic section but otherwise the place is pretty stocked on most days. read more

Came to Ralph to buy fruits. When I was looking fruits around, John, the salesman came and asking me what he can help me? And when I was age questions about the watermelon, grapes and oranges, he is so patient to answer all my questions. I give John 5 stars because he come to ask customer before customer comes asking him, he is very professional and hard worker. I truly appreciate for his service read more

They are a little tight on giving you bag points. You save money on gas by bringing in your own bags. But they keep those points close to their chest. Depending on who is there. There is one person there, who is the sweetest, friendliest, kindest, happiest, charming person I ever met, Gigi. She is one of the reasons I go back to this store. If everyone could be like her, I'm sure they would have 5 stars. read more

I don't understand all these negative reviews. It's a Ralph's, people. A RALPH'S. Ralph's is a nice, shitty, convenient place to get cheap edible crap. It ain't Whole Foods, but it's one-quarter the price for generic things like butter and tinned tomatoes and tea. One reviewer here complains about the seafood section. The seafood section? Are you shitting me? If you're heading to Ralph's to fulfill your oyster-&-lobster needs, your opinion ain't worth shit. This is a Ralph's. It's a perfectly good Ralph's. read more

best raphie's EVER. I don't know what gabby is talking about. She must be smoking ralph, because this ralph's has the best ralphie's in town. i once found myself in this ralph's dancing on my tip toes and singing songs about the yeast aisle and not only did no one chastise or ridicule me, but rather the sweepers and the checkout girls joined in joyful chorus and we had an impromptu musical review by the fresh eggs. so. this ralphie's is the bomb bomb. ya heard it here. and the crackheads here are the freshest in town (although on a side note- the ralph's at hollywood by western did once offer me the rare but highly appreciated opportunity to encounter a toothless grinning homeless woman peeing on the floor outside the stall Thanks ralphie for always keeping it interesting). read more

I totally agree with everything Josh Z. said. And I'll add, I LOVE this Ralphs. It's a normal neighborhood grocery store that clearly represents the community of Venice artists and working class people who lived here way before all the rich white people showed up. Their organic produce section is great - rivals the Venice Farmer's Market in price and is definitely way more reasonable than Whole Foods. If you want a Whole Foods experience, go to frickin' Whole Foods. But stop dissing on my Ralphs - I've spoken to the General Manager and he says they take a lot of flack from corporate about being 'ghetto Ralphs'. I always tell him that I love his store just the way it is. So if you do too, take a minute and call the corporate office and tell them so. I want it to remain like it is with cool and down to earth employees. I don't want it to turn into a chic-chic, high priced, see-and-be-seen kinda joint. And how can you not love the little Mexican grandma in the deli who calls everyone sweetie, is very passionate on the store microphone and loves to give away samples of Boar's Head deli meats? I know most of the cashiers and they all have great personalities even though they take a lot of shit from asshole snobs who seem to want some kind of transcendent luxury grocery shopping experience. read more

I find it funny that all the people that are talking crap about this place never would have even come NEAR the area 8 years ago.. Yes, it's Ghetto Ralphs. It's been called that far before the yuppies got here and I can't even tell you how many scraps I have gotten in to just on my way there. It's dirty Slim pickings in terms of products it's unorganized and no one seems to know where anything is and I love it that way simply because it's always been that way. For those who want to gripe I repeat an old Venice saying "Welcome to Venice, now go the fuck home" read more

I love to shop at Ralph's and this location is my favorite The food here is always fresh and has fair prices. The selection is wide and organized The employees are helpful and fast The parking is spacious What else do we need from a grocery? read more

This has got to be the worst Ralph's. The grocery selection is alright, but... 1. The dairy case smells of mold. 2. The seafood looks and smells as if it were picked out of dumpsters in Chinatown. 3. The front end staff (with one or two exceptions) is downright unfriendly - even hostile. 4. The parking lot is Sketch Central. 5. The ratio of waiting customers to working cashiers is generally about 8:1, and these aren't exactly the world's sharpest specimens - so, pick up an "Us Weekly" and breathe deeply while your fellow customers regale the hostile cashiers with all manner of cigarette purchase requests, WIC vouchers, handwritten three-party personal checks, lottery ticket redemptions, and last-minute journeys back into the bowels of the store to get another avocado. I go there when I desperately need something minor, because it's really close to my house. But the place sucks in the worst way, and Ralph's ought to just close this hole up. read more

I usually try to be positive but this grocery store sucks. It's a real shame too because it's very close to me. The building is in more run-down shape inside than other Ralphs in Santa Monica or even Marina Del Rey right up the road. The employees are of lower quality...and there's frequently folks shoplifting. For example, just the other day, someone made off with a couple bottles of booze while I was checking out. It's pretty brazen. I have yet to have been hit up in the parking lot but it wouldn't surprise me. In summary: go here if it's an emergency. Otherwise, head to the Ralphs at 4311 Lincoln Blvd or 4700 Admiralty Way - either are superior in cleanliness and quality of products. As to the reviewers saying it's crappy just because it's a Ralph's - not so. The other stores offer a clear distinction and if you shop smart, it's not that crappy at all. read more

This is the worst ralphs I've ever been to. Besides being dirty and poorly maintained, the security situation (especially at night) is terrible. The only time I ever went there at night (after 11pm) to pick up some beer, I was nearly robbed on my way back to my car. Two men attempted to surround me while posing as homeless beggers. I immediately ran back into the store and requested security escort me to my car. They did send a security guard out with me who chased them off, but on the way out I could hear the employees mocking me and laughing. read more

Its amazing that .5 miles makes such a difference in the quality of this grocery chain. If you drive a bit further down Lincoln to the Marina Del Rey Ralphs its a whole different world. My friends and I commonly refer to this place as "Ghetto Ralphs", and for good reason: As you walk into this location you are greeted by a slew of homeless people congregrating out front next to the bike racks (makes me never want to ride my bike here) and as you walk by they ask you for change or mumble inapropriate sentiments... typical for Venice I guess, but outside my grocery store? Come on, Ralphs. It doesn't get much better once you're inside either. There is a serious lack of selection in general-- from dairy products to the bakery. The store is run down and not well taken care of; the managers must not care. As others have mentioned you can see people completely unabashed stuffing products into their pockets and walking out the door. I watched a man fit 4 cans of soup into his pants... yikes. Its a shame that this is the closest grocery store in my neighborhood. Its become an emergency only stop off for me, otherwise I head over to Whole Foods or the Marina Del Rey location. read more

As far as Ralph's go, this one is pretty lame. It's not disgusting or anything, and the people that work there are generally pleasant. However, everything is completely unorganized (every aisle seems to follow it's own logic), which makes shopping in a hurry difficult, and they don't carry many brands. I was surprised to discover they don't sell perogies at all, which is quite bizarre. Likewise, they don't carry many veggie or vegan options - for these things I go to the Albertson's up the street. If I'm shopping for a specific recipe for which I know I will need certain things, I won't risk going to this Ralph's and discovering they don't carry a main ingredient. I'd give it two stars, but it's pretty conveniently located next to a Rite Aid, which helps on those Sunday morning errands. read more

I gots to keep this one simple. Fresh produce - 5 stars General food selection - 4 or 5 stars Parking - 4 stars Checkout wait time - 1 star (average time is 30 minutes, at least it feels that way) Is everyone here moving in slow motion ? Total - 3 stars read more

They don't call it Ghetto Ralphs for nothing. This location has definitely cleaned up its act a bit in the 4+ years I've lived in the neighborhood (i.e., I'm no longer all that worried about getting stabbed in the parking lot), but it's still scraping the bottom of the barrel pretty hard. I'll only buy non-consumable items here (cat litter, paper towels, etc), and only in a pinch. read more

I went shopping there and it was bad from the start. when finished shopping i had a bagger who has a running nose. She then rubbed her slimy hands on my bags. I told her to stop working for the day and stop contaminating peoples food. then she got Ghetto and started talking smack. I found the manager and returned all that i bought. OVERALL bad employee attitude and Worst Rapls in the area! Do not GO! read more

I have been shopping at this Ralph's for 28 years. Yes, COVID has been hard on all of us and people are sick of wearing masks. However, today I went in and was shocked that at least six people were not wearing masks. As far as I know the state of California still requires people indoors to wear masks. I asked the manager if they were still requiring masks, and pointed out two men who were maskless. The manager was edgy, and said if people are asked to wear masks and refuse there's nothing he can do. He said that I should decide what my comfort level was and how best to protect myself. I interpreted that as "if you don't like it, shop somewhere else". They have a least one very large, burly guard at the door, I assume to control theft. It seems to me he could tell people entering to mask up. I will not be shopping here or at any Ralph's again. read more

Worst Ralph's ever! Smelly, dirty, bad selection, always an issue at checkout, staff frequently bickers back and forth while you are in the check-out lines. It's worth the drive to Marina Del Rey to go to one of the Ralph's there. read more

Beware! Items on the clearance rack at the back of the store may ring up at the register for more than twice as much. So unfair to anyone who doesn't catch it. I will shop elsewhere. read more

it's a terrible place when it comes to customer service. They are mostly rude. Their supervisors are worse than the employees. I wanted to return some items that was opened and because of that the supervisor rejected my return. What a cheap perspective for a grocery store supervisor. By rejecting a couple of dollar cost item return, you just lost a customer for good. read more

Ghetto. Come on. You've read the reviews and you know that this is the most insane and ghetto Ralph's on the Westside. THE Westside people. Think about who is reviewing this place? When you're in the "nice" part of L.A. (see: the westside minus the 'unsavory' parts) you expect the best. If you've ever been to the Venice boardwalk, imagine those people elbowing you out of the way for frosted flakes. Bam. Done. That sums it up. It's great in a pinch and always has short lines. I can't fault you for that. It's ghetto, it's always stocked, it's what you expect to be by the bums and the beach. +for fresh produce +for locking up the liquor section read more

Good location! Ralph's has pretty decent prices and this one is pretty big. Parking is never difficult and they have a large self checkout area which is a plus because I hate waiting in the line for a checker. This isn't a Whole Foods so you're not going to get those unusual items but you really can't expect that at a Ralph's. This is good for what it is: a traditional grocery store! And it's much cheaper than Vons. read more

I was struggling with my shopping and only had a basket and of course I needed more so the security guard came up to me and brought me a cart. Was the nicest thing anyone's done for me in a long time at a supermarket. He was so sweet and wished me to have a great day. Please give him recognition as this certainly isn't the customer service I'm used to to here. Not that I'm complaining, it's just its just not a place I would ever say the staff are known to go over and beyond and this was really really awesome and thoughtful. Thank you read more

I have a terrible sense of direction. I'm talking bad: I leave my house, drive two blocks, and start looking for the nearest friendly patrol officer to help me find my way back home...oh wait, I live in LA, not Boston! Dammit...OK, back to Ralphs: I only ended up at this Ralphs when I took a left rather than a right on Lincoln (which would have led me to the Marina del Rey Ralphs, aka The Mecca). And it is rather shabby, with too much of an emphasis on display cases to the detriment of their product selection. An extra star because of the covered parking lot in the back, although good luck finding a spot during peak times. read more

Ralph's is a great chain with very reasonable prices. If you aren't a picky shopper and are all about the cost, this is the store for you. Their off brand, Kroger, replicates almost every name brand item, and the knock off version is usually pretty close to the original. They just finished a remodel, but it's still not as nice as the Ralph's down the street. This location doesn't seem to get priority with the produce, so if you don't find what you need here, head a mile south on Lincoln to the next Ralph's and they may have it. read more

I'll write a longer review later as I have been a frequent shopper at this Ralphs for the past 14 years. This is a message to the manager or whoever is in charge. Please tell people to leave their dog outside when shopping. This is not safe, sanitary, or even legal. This has been going for a while and it's getting out of control now. As today, I saw 3 people shopping with theirs dogs on an early Sunday morning.... and no, they were not service dogs! read more

Affectionately known as "Dirty Ralphs", we travel out of our way to go here rather than the two "Fancy Ralphs" in the Marina. We love the staff, the easy parking including security guards, always has the best prices after comparison shopping the circulars that come in the mail, good selection of food, easy to navigate aisles, occasional treasures in the meat department manager's specials. Fast, easy to park, and uncrowded unlike other stores in the area make me keep coming back. I cant ever find the unhealthy foods i need at Whole Foods so Ralph's takes care of me! If there where any better options believe me I would take them...but its just so convenient! read more

This Ralph's is near the office so it's a great place to stock up on a lot of cheap food if you don't have a Costo card. My boss has saved over $200 at times with some of Ralph's deals. I prefer the one on Cloverfield by the I-10 but this location isn't bad either. The parking is actually more convenient. The staff have always been very friendly and nice. read more

Rude checkers, baggers who put eggs under heavy items. Shelves are often missing items. Aisles are blocked by strangely stacked items in awkward places, often without price-signs. Even the shoppers there seem more depressed than at other Ralph's. At dusk, they close the southern entrance but leave the carts down at that end of the building. Kinda stupid. Makes you think: just how dangerous is this area? I won't shop there ever again. read more
