Although I started coming to this location as of last week it was your courteous staff that made me return to this location verses the other one HOWEVER today I was a bit annoyed how the morning manager or whomever the bald gentleman was at the self check-out (wore an olive green either jacket or pull over sweater) of his lack of attention verses his cell phone. I purchased fresh rolls but they only have the Krispy Kreme bags and I didn't realize the bag has a upc code so unfortunately it scanned although I knew what I was going to type and the qty but the system will call for help, even when I didn't need it... Well lets just say when I saw him he was on his cell phone texting and when I politely said excuse me he put his finger to basically tell me to wait and he then proceeded to text whomever he was texting rather than help a customer...I was then annoyed. I explained what occurs and he said for just a donut (as if he wasn't aware) and I said not for 2 rolls but the only bags available at the KK bag that contains a upc code so it triggers the system thinking I needed help when it's not needed. At the end unfortunately he needed to authorize a final time although we both know its now a 2-step process. Again I had to say excuse me I need your authorization...not polite, not managerial like, as if I was bothering him to do his job (wow). Again while the other staff, even a nice lady that runs the front makes it worth while coming here, he turned me off to not even want to come back. While telling staff to not have their phone out to text maybe you should do the same with this particular manager. 3 stars are for the rockstar staff but minus two for the manager you chose to hire. read more

This Ralphs location is convenient and has good finds, especially when things are marked down on clearance. The workers were really nice. Gerbacio in produce was really friendly and humorous. I learned that this location offers fresh fried fish which is not something I normally would think Ralphs would have but Ebony had shared some samples with us. Plenty of parking in the large lot. Venice can get busy but didn't have a hard time finding a spot. read more

It has been awhile since visiting RALPHS as the service, cleanliness and overall experience has been disappointing. Prices continue to soar and options such as Trader Joe's are much more appealing. What I do like is the coupons and today I saved $20 in total verified savings, but that is not why I am authoring this review. I was in the Produce Department which has improved in it's layout, and one female employee named "Gerbacio" I believe went out of her way to give a customer a taste of an apple in which she personally carved and shared. I have never seen that before in any grocery venue and was impressed by her attention to detail and overall friendliness! As a retired member of the UFCW, it was great to see such customer service in a store that has plummeted in that regard. The fact you have to pay for certain items upfront in two aisles is beyond ridiculous because RALPHS overall security is a joke as the homeless use this place as a human ATM machine. In short, even during the day on a Saturday you feel the venue can at any moment become dangerous. RALPHS has a long way to go to get back to respectability! read more

This is the best Ralphs in all of Los Angeles. The manager is extremely kind and supportive. The workers are all supportive of people in the community, and the pricing is extremely fair and all I could say about the workers, the people that stock the fruit and vegetable area sandwich, makers, and the sushi maker, and all the people in the deli and the managers and the the guys that work at the self check out in the front. They're the most extremely helpful and nice and polite and very diligent working people and I'm I really appreciate this Ralph. I'm extremely grateful for this Ralph's. read more

First of all, the prices are still pretty good and the staff are just incredible. They have to put up with so much shit. The Ralph's corporation doesn't really help them either. Reminds me of Starbucks and how they wouldn't let employees receive tips oh guess what theres a Starburps in there. Ralph's recently changed discounts- The discounts only apply for things that are bought in five. That doesn't really apply to everyone. If you are a member, and you were looking forward to the savings here, make sure you read the fine print underneath the coupons. They say five or more ...it's really really small who is going to buy five blocks of cheese for the discount ?!? who is going to buy 5 gallons of milk for the discount!?! Who is buying 5 big bags of dumplings for the discount. That wouldn't fit in anyone's freezer unless you have just some huge dumpling freezer in your garage. Do your customers have multiple fridges? Are you supplying restaurants? What is this? It's a sleight of hand. Price the discount in big bold letters and then the rules in tiny little letters barely visible. You think -awesome discounted block of cheese for 5.49 (It's actually 8.99 unless you buy five of them) But.....you don't actually find out the rules till you get to the register which at that point you might think "oh well might as well buy it" it's a nasty trick. Well, crap. It's been awhile since I tried to get a fresh made sandwich here. Now just imagine craving a nice roast beef on marble rye and when someone finally comes to help you out, they tell you they don't do fresh made anymore. At least the staffer offered to make me one when she finished with whatever she had been doing. Unfortunately, my disappointment just swept over me and I declined. I went over to the grab and go section and there's not a single roast beef sandwich. Plenty of other sandwiches, even pastrami, but no roast beef. Definitely not on marble rye and definitely not with pepper jack cheese. WTF? Despite the fact that I like the staff here for the most part, I'm just done with this store. The self check out staff here is really rude. I needed help getting my coupon to process on the app and it wasn't working. I asked the clerk for help and he was extremely rude and aggressive. He goes "just scan your stuff". When he realized I did what he said to process the coupon and it still didn't work he goes "oh it's not working"... no shit. I eventually got it to work and I was very anxious with how he was speaking to me. I used my Apple Pay and tried to get out of there as soon as I could. As I was loading my groceries the clerk appeared at my car and starts taking my cart of groceries back into the store screaming "YOUR PAYMENT DIDNT GO THROUGH"... I couldn't believe this guy. He was running into the store so fast with my cart as if I was intentionally trying to steal. I got inside and processed the payment and left. I will never do the self check out again. Super rude employees. It's their job to help people there and they constantly act like they bothered by helping. read more

It's my local Ralphs and they have improved over the years. Friendly and timely service. Wish they kept more stations open with people and not hope people would use self check out. I always feel like stores should pay me when using self check out. Anyways, I like the deli section, it's always fresh and I love the tuna salad. The one thing that pisses me off is that this Ralphs gets treated like the ugly step child by corporate. It looks sad and run down. I used to come to this Ralphs store often when i had a friend staying out here. I stopped by recently since me and my girl were visiting someone. Very good produce here and very good put together store. Its too bad its located in a bad area. Lots of guards here in the parking lots and stores. That makes me feel safe. This store is pretty decent good selection, well stocked, friendly workers and a chill over all "venice" vibe. Its a pleasant shopping experience even with the bizarre fruits, and melons. A discount flower section that includes entire mini rosé bushes for $2.50 each. Not on the regular I would assume but a great buy for the gardener tonight read more

They just need new management, leadership, or something. 6:45pm on April 29, the deli lady working just barks at me "we're closed!". Everything was still out and I replied in "really?" a little surprised and she said "yep!" like I'm some sort of moron that should know better. You got me. I just set down my groceries and left. I'll go up the road and just start using a different Ralphs. This upper or lower management team hasn't supported the deli in years. Always short staffed, closed early, with employees over worked and over stretched. I love most if not all the employees here. I just left Ralph's on lincoln blvd in Venice and will never shop there again. It is the first day of Chanukah, and they do not have a single thing on display. I asked the assistant manager, and then spoke with the store manager. Not a single item for Chanukah. The store is fully decked out for Xmas, a month or more before the holiday, but here we are, in the middle of Chanukah, and there is nothing. Not a single item was even shipped to the store. How can it be that they are so blind to their community? Store manager said they ship Chanukah items to the stores that have a larger percentage of "people of my faith" in their city. What, there are no Jewish people in all of Venice? So pathetic. So unfair. Never again. read more

Where do I begin... oh yeah let's start with the $20 cash back I did not get! I came for some Cheetos and Red Bull and while I was at self check out a person was stealing a bunch of stuff! The attendant was trying to stop them. I was getting a little nervous because things were escalating so I paid and left I DID NOT even leave the store before I realized money was not dispensed to me. I walked up to the woman and explained what happen. She essentially said she didn't see me. GREAT! So I talk to the manager and ask for assistance and he basically said it was my responsibility to grab my money... but the money was never dispensed! I asked him to check the camera and he aloofly said no we can't do that with out the police. It was so maddening! It is not my responsibility to fill the self checkout with cash. I also find it weird that they focused all their attention on one person stealing they wouldn't have even noticed if I stole! Why would I go through the trouble to get $20! They offered no solution and gave me an "oh well" attitude. Looking back I bet the same thing happen to the guy who was stealing and he was just getting his $20 worth of food! I took help 3 times to look for fruits and ask for salmon and the boys who helped me and by the way I forgot to ask their names one of them the one from the fruit area was tall,light skin,green eyes; and the one with the salmon area I do not remember well however but he very friendly, smiling, I asked for a special wrap for the salmon and helped me with that . I hung up and called back and she said "it's not her department and to call the meat Dept ". She doesn't even transfer me so I had to call a third time and ask the deli and they transferred me. I have been a customer here for 17 years and I recently joined a non profit stray rescue program which consolidates food in Los Angeles to feed abandoned pets. I called the meat manager John/ Johnny because they throw away just pounds of the fat cuttings they trim off their ribeyes, tri tips and new york strips every single morning. He told me that they will not give them away, I offered to even pay for them still would not give them away. Said it was a "health hazard" you know the fat on the side of the ribeye that was cut that morning is now considered a health hazard. As if a stray dog could eat a pressure cooked fried piece of fat and get sick then hire an attorney to sue Ralphs. It's like asking for orange peels they just get tossed in the garbage when we could easily feed hundreds of dogs with this fat. 12/31/2020 This place has a bad rep for a reason. It is severely mismanaged and staff is under trained. Try going in at 8:30am to avoid crowds and they are still so busy stocking they ignore customers. Happened at deli and seafood counter again this morning. When i asked the manager for a pound of tuna poke he began to put it in a bag. I asked if they stopped using the containers and he looked around and said he couldn't find any, clearly used to not being hands on behind the counter. The long line management used to go through produce. You can look around the store and see employees trying to act busy when they should be opening a new check stand. Another thing that you can count on is that Ralph's milk always goes bad before the marked date. Been going here for 20 years and have watched it get worse. On the good side, there are a couple real nice staff members that get it. 3.15.21 8:30am The seafood counter is empty. The olives have no prices. There is no carrot juice. Aisles are full of boxes. It appears they don't stock overnight and wait until 9am. read more

Be aware that the posted closing times are just a suggestion. They will close 10min early in your face and will ignore any pleas of running in to just grab 1 item such as diapers. If they feel like closing early, the manager will instruct security to close the doors and make no exceptions because she wants to get an early start on closing down... don't count on posted closing times is all I'm saying. read more

Less than satisfactory. I came in to purchase an item using a digital coupon for the first time and I came in asking for help. After finding the item I wanted to proceeded to checkout where the staff was overwelhemmed and had but 2 stations open. When I made my way to the check out stand I was greeted by an employee and then switched to the manager. I asked for help using the digital coupon and I was rushed to pay. I asked again about the coupon which was dismissed. I felt the manager did not handle the situation properly, I was a customer asking for help and I was ignored and pushed to pay by the manager on duty. I have shopped here for 25 years as the store is close to my home. In the beginning, they were terrible. Then improved in 2003. But sadly now, the stock, management and selections are greatly in need of help. The prices rival Whole Foods and many shelves are sometimes empty. Long waits to check out at busy times with few stations open. Management seems to be the biggest problem as the people are generally nice. Really too bad as there is great potential. This review is based on an online grocery order and pick-up. I didn't physically go inside to shop. I appreciated the substitute options that was sent to me when they were out of the Gatorade i chose. The Ralph's associate that brought my groceries out to me by the name of Lautausha. I might have misspelled her name. She was very professional, informative and polite. My rating of four stars and not five comes from the fact that i feel Ralph's should have a better system as to gathering the amount of grocery bags that fulfills the customer's order. I had to ask Lautausha about my ice cream. If i wasn't so observant i would have went home (i live in Los Angeles by the way) and would have had to go all the way back to get the ice cream. She had to go back in the store to get my bag. The other issue i have with this location is the fact that they have two pick-up parking stalls but two cars were parked in them with no one in the car. read more

I like Ralph supermarkets and this one on Lincoln in Venice is very convenient for me to shop,but every time I try to go through self check out this man is being so overbearing and rude although I do all the transaction by myself and only needed to help with weighing items.He was talking to me like to a child.I have several degrees in math, psychology etc.and don't see why I have to put up with his rudeness.,I decided to talk to the manager about this person and the manager completely ignored my complaint saying that I'm too sensitive.At the end when I was walking away they were laughing I would appreciate if the management of Ralph supermarkets would do something about this. Oh hey! They paid Yelp to remove my review from years ago. They are the poop police FYI. Was hanging out with my girlfriend at the tattoo place next door and ended up having to take a #2. Was recommended to go the Ralph's. Went into the Ralph's and asked 2 people if I could use their restroom and they said yes. Had 4 people over a span of 5-10 minute banging on my door telling me if I didn't leave they'd call the cops on me. I was dressed normally and was literally talking to them through the door telling them I was leaving. Weirdest sitatuation of my life in a grocery store. Walked out to 3 workers who ignored me and didn't even respond to my request of why they were so aggressive with me.
