I am really impressed with this pavilions. It is so well organized, and so clean. The entire store is immaculate. And they have so many options of varieties of everything you can possibly think of even the cold bar with all the seafood looks super fresh and I was surprised that they have a hot soup bar for ramen and pho. Everyone so far has been super friendly and there's plenty of parking outside! It's in a plaza full of a different variety of things there's a post office massage place a Panda Express a UPS store a sushi restaurant so you can definitely find what you need to look for. read more

We've been shopping a lot recently at Pavilions in the Marina. Both checkers and box people are very nice and helpful. The store is very clean and the meat and produce departments are excellent. The service deli has a lot of good choices and carries top quality brands of cheeses and meats. The produce section is always very well-stocked and fruits and vegetables are beautifully displayed as well. The shelves are always well stocked, and there is never too long of a wait to pay as most check stands are open. With so many grocery stores to choose from in the Marina, we think we'll stick with Pavillions. read more

Came here recently to grab some various products but mainly different types of cheese. As the pictures show, there's quite a variety here. Not sure if it's because this Pavilion is managed well or because it's in a good area, but the workers here usually seem to be in good moods. And while there was no one person in particular who helped me, the process to get in and out was fairly quick given that this was a Friday in Los Angeles, and right at rush hour. Grabed my various cheeses as well as a few custom cut meats. It's always interesting to see the various signage in verbiage that the different groceries use to try to grab and keep your attention right? In any case, it to conclude, you can get in and out fairly quickly here and again the vibrations are for the most part positive. read more

What happened? This used to be my go-to store for Ready Meals and Bakery items. USED to. Lately, the Ready Meals have been more miss than hit. My favorite item (Honey Chicken and Fried Rice) has been MIA for several weeks now. Plenty of General Tso's with Fried Rice, except the fried rice is actually just brown rice and not fried at all. The Chicken Pot Pies used to be packed with meat and veggies, but the last two pies I got from there were maybe half full and dry a.f. In the bakery, the croissants are anything but light and fluffy these days. They look like deflated blobs. My roommate got some pre-made deli sandwiches that were labeled as Tuna Salad on Croissant, but the croissant had the appearance and texture of a bagel. I purchased a 4-pack of Bran Muffins with Raisins, and I swear there wasn't a single raisin in them and they were so dry in texture. Inedible. I don't know what's happening in the prepared foods/bakery departments, but get a handle on it. read more

I chose the middle. The cashier to my right cuts right in front of me, grabs a ring of tape, holds it up and begins to give a lecture to my cashier, who by the way is totally ignoring me. The woman with tape babbles on and gives a talk about how tape like this can hold her blazer in place. A 3rd cashier - that's right - from the left leans in to join the conversation. Now, my cashier slowly starts to check out my 5 items while talking with the other 2 cashiers. I had to adjust my stance to slide past the cashier on my right, the one giving fashion tips and still talking loudly. Okay, I get to checkout. The bagging girl hands me the bag and I leave. My cashier did not acknowledge me once. Outside the store, I was stopped by the young bagger who handed me a bag with two of my items that had not been given to me before I left. It's really too bad that grocery store employees feel that their place of work is a place to socialize. And worse, that customers are just in their way and don't need to be treated with any form of importance whatsoever. Someone should teach them that stores close when the customers stop coming. Years back, employees never spoke to one another while they were working their shifts, unless it had to do with the business of taking care of a customer or their job. While chains like Gelson's have their problems, you won't catch 3 employees talking around a customer and for that, it is worth to pay more. read more

LOVE their bakery department. I've purchased several cakes that were already made from their case, when needing a last minute birthday dessert, and they're always delicious. One of the rare bakeries I could find with a tiramisu cake (not just a slab in a tray), so I could deliver on a friend's fave. Recently I ordered a customized cake and they were so helpful, friendly, and artistic! I noticed a graduation cake online that they offered, but in the store one of their bakers had experimented with a new design, and it was gorgeous! Requested her new design with custom colors, and they did a great job executing! Wish I caught her name so I could compliment here in this review! Always a great selection! read more

I really enjoy coming to this grocery store, you can find a lot of food sections here that you don't see in other stores like Ralphs or Vons. For example, they have a wine and alcohol section that is so large, it is almost like a mini store! They also carry Boar's Head meat and cheese here which is always delightful to amp up sandwiches. They have a cute little section in the vegetables that has multiple mushrooms I have never seen before. My recent favorite find is broccolini, pre-packaged, in very great condition! As far as the service, I have had really great service by the meat section (they also have A LOT of seafood options too), even close to closing time! read more

I use to come here alot until Brenda the store manager was being rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional to her workers. I over heard one of her employees tell her that's he's trying and only has two hands and her response was "well, use your feet." It was in deli. Horrible service. I've been going to the store for years. It's mediocre, but it's close to me. On this day. I just went in to do my regular shopping. Went to the checkout and was paying for my groceries and put in for cashback of $100, I think the store limit is $200. The cashier named Kiki, who I also think might be a manager yells at me. "When are you guys going to learn that this is not a bank". She was angry because I asked for $100. I told her you should post a sign if that's not your policy to give out so much money. She stated it says on the keypad $20, $40, $60 or ask the cashier. That's absolutely not what it says. It says $20, $40, $60, other. She goes to her till to get the money and realizes she doesn't have enough and then becomes extremely angry and told me I'm only going to get five dollars bills. I didn't care if money is money.. She then realizes she doesn't have enough money and become even more outraged. Again, she scolded me and tells me I need to ask if I'm getting that much money and proceeds to say she's only giving me five dollar bills. And I responded you should have a sign. It is not the company policy for the customer to ask if you're getting more than $60. If pavilions doesn't want to give so much cash back then have a policy and limit the amount of money. I know that when you do self check out the max you can get a $60. This behavior was so outrageous and I'm so embarrassed for them that they have such a horrible employee. Love, love, love Pavilion's! Best meat counter around, with fresh fish from Santa Monica Seafood. There's always something delicious waiting for us, like their Chicken Cordon Bleus, a family favorite. We routinely buy 6 bottles of wine to get their discounted wine special. Best deal in town! Nice selection, too. Great produce department. Large and super fresh. Their deli has great side dishes, such as the Angel Hair pasta, and we love sampling the little cheeses for under $5 each. This location has a Starbucks, and a service counter where you can buy fresh sushi and sandwiches. Staff here is always friendly and helpful. We visit this store almost every week for wine and something delicious for dinner. read more

This is the store I enjoy coming to. The butchers are awesome at providing me with information on the meat. There is a large selection of meat that is marinated in several different spices. The service is fast at check out and full stocked with fresh delicious fruits and vegetables. They also have a bakery selection with fresh baked goodie's. I do Uber Eats on the side for extra cash. An order came in to pick up an EXPENSIVE $500 alcohol bottle from here. Given the price, the bottle was locked away. I asked a bald headed man with a dark complexion, who I assumed was a lead or manager if they had the bottle. He looked at me as if he didn't understand the question. Didn't even bother in helping me look and simply paged another worker. The worker who helped me said his name was Jean. Though he did help me look for the bottle, during check out, he asked the cashier to provide him a copy of the receipt. The store has now changed its policy on buying salmon. Due to the fact that prices have risen due to inflation, salmon at Pavillions runs between $13.99 and 21.99 per pound. I usually get the farmed raised, less expensive one as I find the taste difference not much different from the one that is higher priced. However, when I went to this store I was told that I could not get a 1/2 pound of the $13.99 variety. I was told I had to buy the whole slab at that price and they are about 3 pounds. The fish guy was not allowed as per store policy under no circumstances to cut the fish into smaller sizes specifically on that $13.99 variety. Go figure. The gentleman behind the counter said if you want a 1/2 pound only you have to get the one for $15.99 a pound or the ones for $19.99 or $21.99 per pound. I said that is ludicrious. He said last week the store changed the policy because people were getting the center cut area and we had to discard the thinner portions. So the store thinks they are going to save money with this new procedure? What are they doing with the scraps of "not center cut" pieces of the more expensive fish they will cut for customers who don't want those sections? Makes no sense! Personally I do not like to freeze fish, I like it as fresh as possible and dont want to be forced to pay a higher price for an unfair reason. Anyway the selection of food is so bad like half of the things from the deli & meat department are either rotting or getting really close to go bad, also the selection of stuff here are just really badly chosen to fry and sell if that makes sense. I said "thank you" and again, WAY to busy on their phone to respond. Super HORRIBLE customer service. If not on the clock then don't be sitting next to the bags. I stopped by here to get an energy drink while I waited for my buddy to be ready. We were hitting the town, and I was in dire need of an energy booster. Fortunately, this Pavilions was nearby. I came here on a weekend evening, and it was pretty busy. Still, parking was easy to come by. I walked in and made my way to the beverages. After checking out the options, I decided to try a new energy drink, since they didn't stock my favorite one. The store is well-stocked and clean, much like the other Pavilions locations I've been to in Los Angeles. The other patrons were decent folks, and the cashiers kept the lines flowing fast and smoothly. I was in and out in a timely manner. I'm glad to have this place close by. They don't have a clue how to cut steaks or have any idea what the weekly specials are... the steaks are paper thin and the customer service is nonexistent. I have never had an unpleasant exchange with any employee, in fact, everyone has always been very helpful. I am a fairly regular patron of this Pavilions. I purchase A LOT from here, to the extent that they open lines just for me. Much has changed about this store. First off, they need to fire half of their staff. They lost one of their best employees, Diana (transferred from the deli to the bakery then back to the deli) who was constantly harassed and intimidated by her supervisor, a mannish female named Jennifer. Second, a supervisor named KeeKee, with badly drawn eyebrows, entirely too much attitude, and a constant scowl on her face, should have been terminated YEARS ago. Not only is she a nasty piece of work, she isn't helpful to her subordinates, she constantly complains about having to work and when she rung me up, I was grossly overcharged and also not given all of my groceries. (Which I did not discover until I got home.) When I called to inquire as to whether my groceries were still at the store, a rude [name unknown] female staffer informed me they were at the register - the same register KeeKee rung me up at. I asked why no one bothered to walk my bag out to the parking lot, or at least call out to me so I could retrieve my bag. The response: "We were understaffed." They were so 'understaffed' that they had no less than SIX employees who should have been bagging or doing any sort of work and they were walking around, talking to each other instead. One of the elder baggers usually assists, but he walked over the register, saw the volume of goods I was purchasing, then he walked away. There is a lot of bias and prejudice that exists in this store and is directed towards customers like me. It is hilarious, because when I do not shop for a couple months, they always ask where I have been. They want my money but they won't get it being disrespectful and unappreciative of my patronage. A lot of their items are overpriced as hell, too. I am going back to buying certain items from Pavilions and others from a more reasonably priced store. Managers Norman and Josef are great. Supervisor Christina is a superstar. Checker Jackie is the sweetest person in the store, always a shining light. Christina is always most helpful. She works too hard, IMO. I took about a two-month break from the last time I was there, but they will be seeing me a lot less of me and my coin in the new year. I hope they shape up, because they have some nice things in their store that I am partial to. Their meat department sells seafood that isn't the freshest, so be careful what you purchase from them, especially if you buy crab or lobster tails. Otherwise, they have some nice selections. It is the people who make the experience dreadful and the expired ready-made foods in the deli. (Which was too common of an experience for entirely too long. I love this Pavilions. This place is so well stocked. Their selection is amazing and often times I I find things here that I can't find at Ralphs. My favorite time to come here is on Friday for $5 Friday. You can usally get some really good deals. Today, they had All detergent on sale for $2. Scoooore! They also have so many goodies and cheese platters. I just love all those pre-cut kits. They make my life so simple. I also purchased some rib tips and chicken wings at the Signature Cafe. $5 Friday special included $5 for a pound of rib tips and $5 /8 pieces of chicken. I didn't like the rib tips and wished I had bought the chicken instead. I also purchased some chicken wings that were absolutely delicious. The Mango Habanero flavored Chicken tastes So amaaaazing. I never realized this is a grocery store! I've been in this plaza a lot over the last few months. I was sitting at a bagel spot nearby eating and needed to pick up some potatoes for dinner. Decided to walk over and give this place a try. Wow it is so nice! There's a whole plant section when you first walk in. With succulents and competitive prices. The produce section is very nice too. Organized and everything looks fresh. Always someone working there to point you in the right direction. It's not cold, the lighting isn't blinding. And for checkout- there's no self checkout but there's a row of express lanes to get you through quickly. And the price was a great deal! We'd drive it of our way to come shopping here. read more
