Sucky, sucky Ralphs. You're so much better off driving up the street to the Vons. The selection here is terrible. I had trouble just buying the makings of a PB&J. I don't buy products which use High Fructose Corn Syrup, and that's usually not a problem at most grocery stores, but here it was a serious issue. read more

Ralphs - Grocery Near Me - Sunland, California

I nearly fell of my chair when I saw 3 stars for this ghetto market. Three stars, some people are generous. If I could give this place ZERO stars, oh, I would. It's small, it's rundown and transients everywhere. If transients have not stolen the shopping cart, good luck getting one that is clean and works fine. I prefer driving one or ten cities over than to shop here. read more

If there's one thing I like, it's living about a ten-minute walk away from a large-ish supermarket that stocks more or less everything I need. If there's one thing I like even more, it's living about a ten-minute walk from a supermarket where the items are arranged in anything vaguely resembling a logical order. Oh well. We can't have it all, can we folks? It is next to impossible to find the thing you're looking for in this store, unless it's milk, in which case it's At The Back. Everything else is arranged in such a weird, higgledy-piggledy order that it's a wonder anybody shops at this Ralph's at all. I'm no expert on store display, but I'm fairly confident that the place to put soy milk and snacks that people who go to the gym on an hourly basis eat is probably not on the shelves underneath the fruit. So confusing is this labyrinth of sundries that they actually had a store-map leaflet printed out in bulk, available to collect at the store front. What a brilliant idea! That is, until you look at the map itself, which is at least half-inaccurate and mostly incomplete. I'm convinced this store is a social experiment to see just how much torture the average shopper will endure before they've had enough and take their own life right there in the canned goods aisle. Fortunately the staff here are pleasant and friendly. There's one fella, whose name escapes me at the moment, but he's always smiling and cheerful. He's a delight. Most of the other cashiers at this store are friendly and more than happy to have a little joke and a laugh with the customers. Possibly they know exactly the sort of nightmarish Hell that they unwillingly or unwittingly inflict upon their customers, and are doing their bit to leaven the soul-crushing mundanity of our day by silently mocking this Faustean nightmare with us. Not with words, but with feelings. "Yes," their eyes seem to say, "it *is* a vortex of misery, isn't it?" read more

I'm really happy with all those renovations they do and upgrade the Ralphs store located in Sunland/Tujunga. I used to shop at Vons but I found the Ralphs store more interesting and convenient with better and higher quality products. Everything at this store is great except; the management did a poor job on hiring their staff or managing them because I notice every time I go there the cashiers and baggers think they still are in high-school and can make fun of each other and joke around even I saw the guy touched the other guy's butt and laughing together thinking they are so funny and can do any kind of joke inside the store. Being happy is something else but acting those inappropriate stuff doesn't mean anything but unprofessionalism. Even I noticed when they want to open the Baby Formula's locker the cashier throws the keys and the other guy after taking out the Baby formula throws it back to the cashier like they are playing football there. I hope along the store upgrades, management changes or hires more professional people with cleaner/washed and ironed uniforms like the Ralphs store in La Crescenta. read more

Glad this store is finally getting remodel. Way overdue! Be prepared for chaos til it's done on Oct. Ask checkout staff for help locating items. Managers in store aisles appear busy socializing. Friendly, helpful clerks and baggers at checkout are the biggest asset this store has. And reason to give this location three stars. Reserving final rating for when remodel's finished. read more

We come here often coz their gallon of milk is cheap. But my experience yesterday from the Seafood Dept was the worst. July 4 at 9:30 am I called the store to order fish to fry to bring to our family potluck. Spoke to a guy (forgot his name) and ordered 4 pounds. I get a call from Mary (Seafood dept Manager) and told me that they only have 2 pounds of the fish I ordered. I said fine I'll still take it and I asked if she has all the details when I ordered earlier. She said yes and she said it will be ready by 5pm. I came to the store to pick it up at 5:10pm, went to the seafood dept, and spoke to Ryan or Bryan? and asked for my order, and he had no idea that there was an order for him to prepare. I asked for the store manager and Gabby was the store manager present, told her about my order and all she said was sorry about that. I hope corporate office find this review and do something about the staff here. This reflects management on how they run each department and how well they communicate or how their system works. I called the store today to file a complaint to the General Manager name Teresa but she was Off today. Teresa, please do something about how your store runs. Your store is newly renovated but it's not running how it's suppose to. read more

I only go here when absolutely necessary. This review is not a reflection of the staff, all of whom have been friendly and helpful upon interaction. This store is situated in an unfortunate strip mall that houses vacant stores and an auction house. The clientele can be shady, in the wine aisle I stopped to look at a bottle and a guy turned around said "don't worry, I'm not following you" which made me immediately wonder if people routinely think that he is following them. Their selection of food is not great, it's dark, disheveled and a bit seedy. read more

Stopped by Tuesday, January 9, 2018 to buy Huggies baby wipes. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and I am trying to stock up as much as I can before my babies arrival. They had a great sale on them, a 56 ct pk or 72 ct pk for $.99 when you buy 5. Naturally I went to a Ralph's closer to my house a few days before and bought 25 pks, I received no complaints from cashier or manager. I even used a $1.00 off coupon off 3 pks which was even a better deal. I arrived and noticed there were only 7 pks of the 56ct, since I wanted the even 10 I was able to complete my purchase with 3 additional wipes that come in a keep container for $1+ which I don't mind. Eventually I will use them all. I asked a very nice clerk if they happen to have any more as I wanted 25 of them. (after the purchase of 25pks you will get the print out coupon of $10.00 on your next purchase so that was my goal) She was great and said she would go check in the back for the 72ct for me. Unfortunately they didn't have any and mentioned that I can go ask the manager for a rain check as there was no limit on them and she made sure by looking this up for me. I am disappointing in myself I didn't get her name. I will make sure to go back and get it as she went above and beyond to help me. I went to pay and while giving the cashier 3 of my $1.00 off every 3 wipes purchase the manager stopped at the registered and told the cashier I was not able to use more than 1 coupon for my purchase. I was a bit confused but thought she might not even be talking about me. The cashier had this look like WHATEVER, and scanned the coupons with no problem. I go up to the manager desk up front and she is there, again, I cant believe I didn't get her name after the way she acted. This is a Latina, darker skinned toned, dark long stringy hair. I asked if she was the manager and she said yes. I asked her for a rain ck on the wipes and she said I couldn't have one since I just bought 10 pks. I advised her that I wanted 25 and they didn't have any. she then said again, she wouldn't be able to give me a rain ck since I purchased some already. She would only be able to give it to me if I didn't buy any but because there are 10 there that still wouldn't apply to me as they would have to be completely out of the merchandise in order to give a rain check. I told her that I had never heard of that and I shop at Ralph's a lot. She answered, "I have never seen you here". It made me take a step back. I answered, so you have to see me and recognize me in order for me to be a valid Ralph's customer? I also mentioned that it was ok if she didnt want to give me any, i would just contact corporate as I had never heard of the policy. 1. there is no limit on the item 2. they dont have anymore in stock (72ct wipes) (I purchased the 2ct) Not sure why the real reason why I would not be able to obtain a rain check for items that are clearly not available. Once I mentioned that I will contact corporate, she called another guy and asked him to give me the rain check and walked away from me without saying anything. The guy was kind of perplexed and asked me about the rain check and went to get the info from the wipe stand. I didnt get an apology from that inconsiderate "manager" or was told anything else. The clerk who went to go ck on the wipes in the back was surprised that I was still waiting there after so long and asked if I was being helped or if I still needed the rain check, I advised her that I was already being helped... but thanked her for asking. (RALPHS: THIS IS MANAGEMENT MATERIAL - Caucasian young woman with glasses. Fair skin and very polite, sorry I didnt get her name). That unprofessional "manager" will be the reason I wont even bother going to this Ralph's. Its close to my parents house and I am regularly in the area however; I rather go to another because of the way she treated me. I'll be using the rain ck at a different Ralph's. read more

Alex Regala is great employe and very friendly he always helps me to get a fresh meet for my family thank you !!!

It has a little. It of everything. Ample parking. Next to a rite aid and a cocos and a sizzler. It's a small Ralph's but it'll do. Some food items are marked up by a lot, others are a steal (when on sale) people who work there have always been nice. Especially the night people and the night manager. Always friendly. Why only 3 1/2 stars, there's nothing wrong with this Ralph's, there's always plenty of parking which really makes it great. The worst fucking Ralph's ever. Tried to order our groceries through their delivery option. Made the order around 1 in the afternoon. Supposed to be here by 5:30-6:45. Never came. Tried calling and they had the audacity to claim that some came, knocked on our front door & called/texted multiple times. Four people were home, no door knocking or door bell ringing. Along with that we have THREE big dogs who bark at he slightest sound of tires rolling down the street. None of them made a move. Clearly their delivery girl is lazy & incapable - lying to cover her ass. NEVER use this service! Not worth it. Crazy expensive & unreliable - clearly. Just go to Vons down the street. Fucking ridiculous. read more

i was at this ralphs on thursday 8/3 at about 6 p.m., and they had one checkstand open. one. all of the self-checkouts were open, although one of them was broken. there were no announcements on the store intercomm about needing checkers to the front to work the registers or anything like that. this wasn't at 11:00 at night or something like that. i was just getting 4 things, but the self-check line was about 15 deep when i got in it, as was the line at the only open checkstand. whenever i go to this ralphs, the lines are super long, and there are usually multiple checkstands that are closed (the albertsons in tujunga is the same way). is that a union thing, where there can only be "x" numver of checkstand-qualified people there at any one time? if people called out sick that day, ok. but i can't believe that there was only one person in the whole store at 6 p.m., with a packed store and huge lines, who could work a checkstand read more

Waited in line at the deli for 15 minutes just to find out they didn't make sandwiches anymore. How about a freakin sign in plain site so you don't waste people lunch break? If it was up to the staff I would be giving this store 5 stars, yes 5!! All the workers here are friendly and helpful. But, this store is: dark, old, dirty, very outdated and just generally ran down. The outside is also really bad. The whole shopping center needs a good facelift and cleanup. They need security walking around to prevent the homeless from harassing the shoppers. I heard they are remodeling, I'm excited to see what they do. I hope it's awesome, I will shop a lot more there and change my review to 5 stars if they deliver. read more

Melissa and Brian are horrible managers. They should be fired. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They are just so rude and they honestly creeped me out. And the way they spoke to their employees was truly a disgrace. This is by far the worst Ralph's in the area. 0/10 would not recommend. One more star for the other employees who are wonderful but these two definitely ruined my experience. read more

Everything you could ask for in a grocery store. If you come in during rush hour, of course it will be busy. However, the staff is quite friendly. Before you rate the store poorly because you think one employee is in charge of ordering your gluten free, cage free, organic, all natural, non GMO Guayaki bottles of Yerba Mate, it is important to note that there could be a problem at the warehouse rather than the store failing to order it. Also, they've recently renovated the exterior giving it a modern look. read more

I bought two dozen of beautiful roses that were already wrapped. I wanted to put the two together and make it look fuller and better. The girl at the counter did it for me. Back when I was living in Glendale, I loved the nearby Ralphs for its great selection (despite small store size). When I moved here, I liked how there was a Ralphs nearby. However, I wasn't as impressed with store as the previous Ralphs stores I've been to. I felt that the selection here wasn't as broad as I expected. It also seemed a little more run down. Worst Ralphs ever. Not only are the staff mostly ignorant about their own stuff, but most of them are rude and unhelpful. I can hardly ever find anything more than basic pantry items here. This Ralph's store has some of the most unprofessional employees I have ever encountered since I visited the Ralph's store on Ave L in Lancaster, CA. After many years of boycotting Ralph's, I decided to give them another chance (and because Vons was closed). I was shopping one night close to their closing time. I had about $200 worth of groceries in my cart and was trying to finish up as quickly as possible in a store I'm unfamiliar with when the cashier got on the intercom to annouce that the store will be closing shortly. Fine, but then she continued to announce it every 5 minutes or so and including the SECONDS left to shop... we will be closing in 9 minutes and 17 seconds... we will be closing in 6 minutes and 51 seconds... My family has been in the grocery store business for over 30 years. It was shocking to see an employee act so unprofessionally and to make customers feel so unwelcomed. I will not be going back to ANY Ralph's after this. read more

The Service Deli supposedly opens at 7 am, but when I went in yesterday at 8:15, the woman behind the counter said she was too busy setting up the station to make me a sandwich. I have reviewed earlier, but I am so pleased at the "new" Ralphs, I have to leave another review. Besides the remodel, the quality of meat, seafood, produce etc. are now excellent. This Ralph's has a good selection for the most part but the store set up is wacky. The carts are always hidden on one of the two sides of the store (sometimes there's no carts by the entrance. I have been and still am Ralphs costumer for many years! Love the store, items and everything! Recently I moved to Sunland from Burbank and OMG what a difference in costumer service! U can't compare Burbank to this place! Employees in Burbank (all 3 locations) are kind, polite, helpful and respectful! Here at Sunland they treat u like u are shoplifter lol! I went there about 3 weeks ago ordered sandwich, the employee was really nice and helpful and friendly, then while he was preparing I went to get batteries which were in a box and locked, so I called some one to come and she gave me the batteries, I had bunch of other groceries in the shopping card, then as soon as I turned to walk away towards deli to pick up my sandwich that lady started shouting and literally running after me yelling "Mam u have to pay u have to pay for those batteries"! I felt so embarrassed and told her loudly "I'm going to pick up my food and I'll pay of course"! She finally stopped chasing me lol And a week before that I ordered fish to be cooked and picked up, I had few guests and everything was set and send my son to pick up the fish and the guy said "oh the order is here but not sure why it's not done, maybe we forgot haha" not sure why that was funny! We had the table set up, everyone sitting and waited almost 45 minutes for the fish! It was so upsetting because I went to order a day before and asked him several times if he had the time written and it would be ready at 6pm, he said sure! I never had that issue at Burbank location, I ordered for years! So now, I drive 20 minutes and go to Burbank Ralphs while the one in Sunland is 3 minutes away! And it's surly worth it! read more
