I would say that my experience at this specific Ralph's location is not a bad one they have pretty decent selection of foods and drinks it's usually not crazy busy which is something I like The prices are not that bad either I also like that they have a deli so I would say if you're in the area that's a place that I would check out they are not that badalso if you have roush rewards you can definitely get some savings as well so I would definitely do that too read more

The worst Ralph's ever. Lines are always LONG. It's currently 6:20 on a Tuesday evening, folks are getting stuff for dinner. They literally have 2 check stands open. Lines are reaching down the isles. Ridiculous. read more

If you don't want to ware a mask it's ok here. The gentleman in the produce department will let you slide. This is not the first time. I am driving out of my way from now on to avoid this store. read more

Well I can't give it a 1 star, I know I'll be back many more times. I always hit this supermarket up when ever I need a bagel, a sopa-noodle for lunch or I need to make some cucumbers w/sal y limon so I can snack at work. Yes, I snack a lot at work. I'm determined though to not have my thighs grow so large, they ooze out from the sides of my chair. Your standard supermarket, plenty of parking, never crowded, organized! Bread in the bread aisle, cereal in the cereal aisle. What I do fear is that cracked out looking cashier who wears mi vida loca style makeup with fake eyebrows. She looks evil bitter that she has to be there. Can you at least paint on happy eyebrows? I try to avoid paying at her register but sometimes she's the only one avail. No hello, or good morning or even your total is... from this chick. At least she was nice enough to ring me up.... o_O Your Homegirl, Violy P.S. Now that I think about it, maybe she doesn't smile because she has bad teeth. Having bad teeth can take a toll on ones self esteem. Yelp is therapeutic, I now see life from another persons shoes... As much as I love shoes, I'd hate to be in hers. read more

Terrible customer service. Employees ignore you and the manager was screaming at customers

This is one of the better local grocery spots in the area. They have everything you need from fresh fruits to vegetables. The meats are good and have a great cut to them. The drinks that they have from alcoholic to non alcoholic will satisfy the needs that you may have at the time. The staff here is great and friendly and is always helpful. Parking is in their lot and is a non issue. read more

This Ralph definitely sucks and I like the other ones are that different. But they always always always have long lines and the isles are so narrow you have to ask everyone to excuse you and pardon you for getting to the back of the line read more

It's definitely not one of my favorite Ralph's locations, but the hours are great and if you're in need of something it's a quick stop. Why it's not my favorite: their produce is a little dodgy. Sometimes you get really fresh deals like the other day haus avocados for 67 cents a piece, killer! but then right next to it I saw these really sad "organic" haus avocados going for 1.50 a piece, so I don't understand why anyone would pay more for bruised up over ripened "organic" avocados. Also, the grapes were a little thrashed looking, don't get me started on the cherries... $6 for a tiny bag. I'm a fan on Ralph's because I can get a gallon of milk, 18 large eggs, some produce & meat at 11:45pm on any given night. It's a relatively safe area. Also their staff is really nice and they know a lot of the customers and are just great people in general. The parking lot is huge. There's a Mexican restaurant in this strip mall that people swear by, totally need to check it out sometime. read more

Ghetto Ralph's. They are always out of stock compared to the other Ralph's in the area. Long lines, isles are small. I will only go here if I have to. Porter Ranch Ralph's is a lot. Cleaner, organized, and always in stock. read more

This supermarket is good. The lines move fast. They have a variety of items. A deli, meat section, lots of fruit/vegetables etc. I really like the taste of the bananas they sell. Parking is a huge lot. Not many other big businesses nearby, so the entire lot is pretty much dedicated to the supermarket. read more

Don't come to the flower shop here!!! You'll be disappointed, I placed an order for a lei for a graduation on a Monday to pick up on Thursday. The lady that helped me on the phone assured me it would be reserved for me. When I arrived on Thursday she said they sold out, so she sold my lei and LIED to me about reserving it. So here I am the day before my sisters graduation with no Lei. Will definitely not be returning to this Ralph's. Some Ralph's are just horrible at customer service! read more

Ralphs - Long lines - Grocery Near Me - Chatsworth, California

I have a warm spot in my heart for this store! In July and August of 2020, I was homeless living in a camp down the street from this store. I had no money or anyway to get money. I'm physically disabled and couldn't even get to the welfare office. Everyday I used all my strength to get to this Ralph's. I was so hungry and hadn't eaten in days. There were times I had to loiter outside and beg. I was sent away a few times. But mostly I met some of the most loving people here! One checkout girl gave me her kindest blessings. They often brought me a big sandwich and a gallon of water. I could always use the bathroom no matter how homeless I looked. I remember this store and Chatsworth as a loving place for people like me! read more

We are long time customers, I am an an IHSS provider for adults with disabilities who live on their own & we come to this store to shop for groceries. Yesterday, I came in & was excited & lucky enough to find 3 Lysol disinfectant sprays. I had forgotten about the 1 per household rule & the checker in my line was already giving me the stink eye, she was speaking to the gentleman ahead of me about how there was 1 per household. I said ok... I was trying to contact the gentleman I was shopping with to buy the 2nd bottle but he wasn't answering his phone as he was already done shopping. She insisted that I give up one of the bottles, so I did & gave it to the gentleman before me. I let someone ahead of me to return the 3rd can back to the shelf & she continued to show her frustration with me because I didn't practice the safe distance protocol either. While at the register, she began to belittle me & telling me that what I was doing was unfair to someone who would need it. I explained to her my situation but she wasn't hearing it, rather than try to explain further she just didn't want to know the circumstances & basically called me a hoarder. She proceeded to ask for the can that I returned, I told her I returned it, she insisted that I go get it. When I went back to fetch it, as she asked, I told her it was gone. She became suspicious that I hid it somehow & continued to accuse me over & over in front of everyone in line. The lady at the self service area came over & joined in on the conversation as to gang up on me & belittle me even more. At this point I turned to both of them & said I RETURNED IT!!! She asked for my member number, which I willing gave, & she said that she will look at video footage during her break to make sure I returned the can! I said "go right ahead". I paid & left! WOW! Can you be any nicer & a little bit more compassionate! If you are that frustrated with your job, step away, take a break or don't come in at all.. don't treat your customers like that! I'm still waiting for someone to call me & tell me what she saw on the video! I spoke with the manager at the store, who was a lot more understanding than she was! read more

Needs to clean up their area. The transit hanging out and stealing and getting high. I go here only because it's few blocks from me for convenience but it's usually for 1 thing. They never pick up their phone. Some of their folks in their deli area dislike their job and show it. They tell me to call ahead if I want something from the hot station and when they do pick up they are always out of what I want. They need new management and to clean up their store. It's a mess. The one in porter ranch is my go to Ralph's and it's much nicer. They pick up their phone and are really nice. read more

Worst place ever don't feel welcome in here lady was forcing me to leave while I was waiting for my little sisters to finish because I didn't want to leave in there alone i already paid for my items was waiting for them in the store lady had a attitude and was disrespectful telling me to get out the store that I already paid and talking about me while I was waiting there as well as acting like I was gonna steal something when I wasn't made me feel real uncomfortable I will never return after this experience read more

This place is dirty and has the worst service. I had ordered my son's birthday cupcakes , cookies and a fruit platter way in advanced. I get to the market and I go up to the bakery counter and I let them know I had an order to be picked up. Well, the girl who took my order says "Oh, I thought you didnt want to cupcakes and just the cookies." I said, "What??!" Mind you, she gave me a total for everything over the phone. I said well then are my cookies ready? She said, "Well, you're a little early and I'm just baking them" I said, "What time did I say?" She said "1pm" I said, "ok, well its 12:58!" Shouldn't cookies be at least cooled down and packed by the pick up time??! I then went to rush around the store for cupcakes. She had at least 5-7 mins to come up to me to tell me she was going to make the cupcakes real quick. Instead she waited till i got cupcakes, paid and dropped them in my car. I went up to the counter to wait longer for my cookies and she then tells me "I went ahead and backed the cupcakes" I said, "Well I already got some". She said, "Well I was going to tell you but you got so mad.. " and rolled her damn eyes! I found the manager, told him what happened and he apologized and told her to get my stuff going. He then seemed condescending himself and when I left "Have a nice day ma'am". You can tell they were buddies FOR SURE. Anyways, a couple people there were nice but not going back there for sure. Unless they're the last market in the valley. Not the more professional people working there what so ever. read more

This is my spot. Close to the house and always has what i want... almost always has what i want. I was sent out the day of Thanksgiving to get 2 things (chillie past and a potato masher). Great place to get your groceries. If you live in the area, you'll get their prices that change every couple weeks. You can go onto the Ralph website to look up any updates if you don't get mail. The staff all wear masks. There are plexiglass at the cashier to protect you and the staff. If you're an elderly/immunocompromised, you can ask a staff to help you get your groceries while you stay in your car. You can also have them come out and load the groceries into your car if you have weakened muscles. Overall, great friendly environment read more

Although this isn't the nicest looking Ralph's, especially from the outside, this is the one out of the three equidistance from me that I choose to go to. Why? They are priced better than the new one in Porter Ranch. Their deli staff always fulfills my weird request of turkey shredded, not sliced. And most recently with the Coronavirus scare, they are working so hard and with a smile on their face. I was truly impressed last Friday when I went in to find a madhouse but the women checking me out were still friendly and kind. read more

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go... You wanna go where people know, people are all the same, You wanna go where everybody knows your name. You wanna go where people know, people are all the same, You wanna go where everybody knows your name. Felt like a slightly smaller location, but very clean and well laid out. Employees were very nice in the meats department as well which helped add for an enjoyable visit. Pro -Pretty happy with this Ralphs location. Good parking with security, friendly staff, good selection for the size of the store. Items I want are typically in stock and the produce looks good. Good selection of beer and liquor. Coffee at the deli. Staff always friendly both to myself and to my service dog. Con- Meat department does need to mark prices on their meats or else have a scanner as one other person noted here on Yelp. read more

Fast checkout (since they have the self-checkout). Other than that.. err.. I think customer service is good. Don't really talk to the people that works here. I come in, grab the stuff that I need and checkout... Since it's the closest thing to me, so yeah.. I'm a fan! read more

My husband and I have been coming to this for several years now. Most times very nice stuff occasionly there's an issue and we kind of shrug it off. Today the manager Blanca decided to get loud and snap at people not just us but several people that were in line behind us. There check out aisles are confusing and instead of having one line serving each aisle they separated aisles and didn't bother to put register numbers arrows on the floor etc. I know it sounds petty but in this day and age when we're trying our best not to be in contact with other people we don't need the people in the store yelling at its because their store is not put together correctly. read more

I've shopped here for 11 years and won't be coming back. I've always been polite and let attitude and rudeness from the employees slide in the past but this time I'm done. Unfortunately after 11 years shopping here, I won't be coming back read more

Okay I used to love this Ralph's but recently its scary going there. The homeless crisis in that area is frightening. I used the Ralph's app for the Devonshire location and ordered groceries. I was given a pick up time window from 8-9 pm. I notified the app that I was on my way, and when I arrived at the store selected the I'm here button. After 10 minutes I went inside the store and was told that no one could help me because the associate that takes the groceries out to customers had gone home. The next day I received a message from Ralph's indicating that my order was ready for pick up since I did not show up the night before. When I called the store and spoke with Chris, the book keeper, Chris stated in store pick up closed at 8 pm. Chris offered no remedy for the automated system, and said there was nothing he could do to help me. I have always preferred the stores in Porter Ranch and on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills but shopped in the Chatsworth store based on the location. I will no longer be shopping at the Chatsworth store and will either drive further to Porter Ranch or Ventura Blvd or try Pavillions/Vons. read more

I was very disappointed when I went into Ralphs Bakery today and bought a cake for my kids birthday. I asked if they could write happy birthday to my kids with their names on the front and the guy grabbed the cake for me like he was a cake expert and said I'll do that. When I picked up the cake this is what I saw the writing was in Black I never seen a happy birthday cake in Black writing it could have been in pink red blue anything else but black. The writing on the cake look like a four-year-old did it and the guy didn't even spell birthday right. I got a Strawberry Shortcake and that was the last one so I was pretty much stuck with the cake. So I proceeded to take the cake up to the front and ask the lady if she could give me some type of discount. She gave me $10 off I really feel like the cake should have been free. My kids birthday is very important and I feel like Ralphs quality is not good enough. I went there thinking I was going to get a nice cake and this is what I walk out with. You guys really need to train your employees better in the bakery department. read more

I haven't left a review in a long time. But I've been feeling the need to address the issues at this particular store. They are always out of stock on different things. It can range from yogurts, cereal, frozen foods, tortillas, etc. and they hardly ever have rotisserie chickens already cooked. And when you ask, they give you attitude that they're either not going to have any that day or it'll be many hours. This is very often as far as the rotisserie chickens. It's extremely annoying. Also, the cashiers, generally speaking, are very rude. I think from now on, I'll travel the extra 2 miles to the Porter Ranch location. read more

OMG... Apparently the GM of this Ralph's store either doesn't believe in Yelp or is turning a blind eye to the majority of bad reviews over the last two years. My husband needed me to pick up sandwiches for something he was working on in the area. He had called earlier in the week to see if he needed to pre-order a tray - they told him no need. They told him that they always have what he was looking for prepared in their deli area. As a pre-caution, he called them before I was to arrive to have them put something aside. They acted like they never heard what he was asking for. He had them put together something for me to pick up and they gave him attitude about it. When I arrived, they gave me attitude about the pick up - as if I have put a huge burden on their day. Hey - deli folks, if you hate working with people and can't be nice - get a clue and get out of the service industry. Now I understand why it was so easy to find parking - no one wants to shop here if they have to. read more

This location is pretty bad. The store is not clean and is just awful. I felt like I was in the middle of an apocalypse. The shelves were messy, disorganized and all over the place. There was nobody on the floor stocking or tidying up the store at all. Only employees I saw were the cashiers and there was only two working. The selection of products isn't great either. This store is very disorganized, dirty and just not good. This is NOT the Ralphs I am used to. I will NEVER shop here again. Do yourself a favor and drive the couple extra miles to the Porter Ranch location. Its worth your sanity and health. read more

I went in and needed help. I asked the girl moping the floor and she said she had no clue and walked away. So I stood there for 10 minutes with not an employee in sight to help. The same girl passes by me AGAIN,so I thanked her for not grabbing anyone else to help me and walked up to the front to get the manager, the whole time she is following me. I made my complaint while pointing at the girl and the manager didn't care and let me leave. I haven't gone back. My husband was still going in until last night when he went to go buy a new movie. He asked an employee for it and she happily handed it to him. My husband went to grab a gift certificate before checking out when the lady ran up to him and took the DVD out of his hands and said she was going to hold it. Why did she hand it to him instead of saying that in the first place!? How insulting! He was spending over a hundred bucks right then! No more Ralph's,the employees SUCK! read more

Whoever does the ordering here ought to be fired. Always out of something! Most employees seem pleasant, but I don't know how they let the loud obnoxious one at the self check out continue to be so annoying. I would never go here except that it's right next to where I live. Almost always worth the trip to Porter Ranch to avoid the disappointment of not being able to get a needed item or the annoyance of hearing the loud guy singing, whistling, and shouting across the store. read more

This Ralphs has got to have the largest assortment of miserable staff I have ever seen. The employees ALWAYS look unhappy. Unhappy to be there, and probably unhappy to see you there too. The security guards are so weird and rude that they are probably mad dogging old ladies. Its like entering the store at the door near the booze is already an admission of guilt. They assume you're going to steal pretty much everything. I'm glad their jobs give them a feeling of importance but please, i'm here to buy milk and croutons, back OFF. Its always clean and tidy, no complaints there. Now the shoplifters and transients have become more aggressive and present during the day time leaving me no other choice but to shop at a different store, and a different location. This is a review for the deli. I went to the deli to get a sandwich for lunch on a Tuesday. The service was incredibly slow. The one person making sandwiches took her sweet time, my sandwich took about 10 minutes for her to make. I waited 10 minutes before that for her to make the two sandwiches for the guy in front of me too. I got a small pastrami sandwich and it was really mediocre. It was pretty dry and they just used a microwave to heat it up. I won't be coming back here again. It wasn't horrible food, but I was eating in the car on the way back to work to keep my lunch break to an hour. read more
