On the plus side, they were thoroughly professional, on time, efficient and capable in their packing skills. The owner is pleasant and responsive, as are his workers. On the negative side, their estimate had no relation to the final billing, which was $2,000 above. And this was not due to any unforeseen items or logistical blockages. It was simply, "Oops! Sorry about that." Not acceptable. Finally, be prepared for Ralph's wife, who mans the office, to sear the skin off your face with her rudeness. Bottom line: shop around and get an iron-clad commitment from the mover to stay within a clearly delineated price range. read more

We first used Palmisano back in 1999. We've moved five times since and each time the move has been about as seamless as it could possibly be. They are professional , reasonable and extremely good at what they do. Many friends and family members are huge fans of this firm. My husband and I decided to go with Ralph Palmisano because their pricing seemed reasonable and straight forward - packing was calculated per box, and moving was calculated per hour. They came the day before the moving day to pack our 4 bedroom house. They packed for about 3 hours and got the majority done. However, there was still quite a bit left and they left some empty boxes for the movers to finish the next day. Well, my husband ended up in the hospital on the moving day, so he could not be there to help with the move. The movers commented the packing team did a lousy job for leaving out too much stuff unpacked. The move dragged on for 8 hours and the guys were tired. They also ran out of boxes to finish all the packing so our old house was not empty. When they asked if they could drive to the new house and start unloading, there was nothing much for me to do or say other than OK. I got the bill when unloading was finished, and it was significantly less than what another moving company quoted after a walk through estimate. My husband came back from the hospital and saw what was still left at the old house. He called Ralph, and Ralph came with a few guys to finish the job for free. Overall, I am relieved that we finished this move at a reasonable price. we were really impressed that Ralph was very understanding of our situation, and the movers worked hard and respectfully. I just wish the packing team did a better job in the first place. read more

I needed to move my Mom from a senior high rise to my home recently. Ralph and crew were awesome from the initial phone call to moving day. Had a slight glitch in scheduling that was due to lack of communication from the building management which Ralph's office manager was happy to reschedule. Workers did not stop, were very efficient and worth every penny. Reasonable price too. Highly recommend !!! read more

We moved a 3 bedroom house and nothing was damaged and every detail was handled professionally from beginning to end. I can't say enough great things about Ralph Palmisano and his team of movers. They just moved me from Cazenovia to Dutchess County -- 4 hours away in the middle of winter. A 5000 sq ft house. We used them when we moved from an apartment to a house. We are giving a poor review mostly because they moved a couch onto new flooring and completely scratched and destroyed it without saying anything. I mean, grow a pair and admit you've made a mistake and we can work it out. Don't let me find it later and ruin our new house experience. Never again. read more
