Sadly, I need to find a new gyno. Not because of the Dr, but because of their staff. First issue- I…read morewas in the hospital and found out I had a cyst in my ovary and was told to follow up with Dr. I couldn't make an appointment to get in or be seen. The ER would not help me out with the pain, since I was supposed to be under the care of my Dr. They took days to get back to me, by that point the emergency was already over. Then I had another medical issue, called in and the staff was not only not empathetic or caring whatsoever, but they hung up on me and never called back. So, I'm done. Hope it was worth hiring these subpar front desk people, they've lost a patient who has been going there for at least 10 years and used to always refer people there. Definitely not anymore. Sad, bc the Dr was wonderful. Why are the Drs or doctors offices so awful in south Florida?? Any recs for gyn please let me know.

Because i worked for a municipality my retirement included health care if medicare doesn't cover. I told that to the office but they refused to bill that insurer. So i called medicare and yes i got to speak to a rep who said my obgyn is wrong. My card is valid. I called my obgyn back and they still insisted it isn't and wanted a reference no for the call. I said cancel appt and i got another dr. My question is why are they even calling to find out if its valid if no visit occurred yet. My appt was for next week. My next question is if in fact my medicare was inactive why would they refuse to bill my secondary from the city. I'm so upset. I'm a 66 almost 67 without insurance per my obgyn ???????

Been going to Dr Cohen for over 20 years…read more He is most exceptional, caring and amazing bed side manners and treats his patients like family. I rust him completely. I once came for visit very emotional when my Dad past away and offered to come back another time as he had a room full of patients waiting..he said I'm his patient right now, and he will get to each and everyone. Touched my heart, held my grand and assured me everything will be all right. God Bless him, his amazing staff and family! He is a God send!

Dr. Cohen was very professional and kind. I mentioned to the staff and Dr. Cohen that I do not…read morehandle hormones well but was assured that the hormones in the Mirena iud do not leave the cervix. After the iud was placed I started feeling side effects. It was then decided that the iud should be removed because I was reacting to the "slight amount of hormones that are in the bloodstream". I asked if they would be able to order the new iud. They told me they could not order it until I signed paperwork. When I got there and had the old iud removed and signed paper work I asked if I could schedule the insertion. They stated that they could not schedule it until the new iud was in. At this point there had been 3 appointments and 3 copays. They told me that I needed an annual exam. I asked if the iud could be put in that day...no. 4 appointments, 4 copays, 0 effective iud. I understand that it is protocol to wait until the device is in to schedule but this process would have taken 5 months. Anyone with a new baby at home and any semblance of a life would find this process both tedious and difficult to make happen.
