This is our first time EVER eating Rally's. Don't judge!!! Every other fast food line was wrapped around their restaurants, so we gave this place a shot. Even with shorter lines, it was SUPER SLOW. Even after we got to the speaker box, we still had to wait 5+ minutes to order. We ordered and waited some more. There was a lot of riffraff around this place. Kids and teens riding around it on bikes throwing huge rocks at cars. I couldn't believe my eyes. Once you're in the drive thru line, there's no getting out of it unless you're able to ride over the curb. I really didn't feel safe while waiting in that line. I was waiting for the gunshots after those kids were throwing rocks at moving cars. They were asking for trouble. Anyway, we got the food & it was fresh for the most part. The service needed help & the speed of service definitely was poor. We may try a different location out if we are in a pinch. I won't come here again. read more

Are any Rallys 5 star? I've always set my expectations very low... but i have had some funny experiences at THIS rallys.. One time was greeted with "you gonna have to wait" .. the wait wasn't that long, but it was pretty funny that that was the greeting Another time we ordered a BLT and when we got to the window they handed us the food & then told us they didn't have tomatoes... so we said "oh, well that's a big part of a BLT, it would have been good to know that prior to ordering" And they responded with "it stands for Bacon Lettuce & Toast"... which was also hilarious. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ read more

Honestly don't even bother ordering from this place. Every single order I've ever placed on doordash has been canceled. Why accept it if you're not going to make it? I've wasted time waiting for my order from here just for it to never be made. By the time it's canceled, it's too late to order from anywhere else other than IHOP. it's pathetic. I popped by here for lunch one day last week. It's been a few months since my last visit. Previously this has been the slowest Rally's on record. My time from order to actually taking my food from the window had been 20 minutes, with one car in front of me. This time around was a very big improvement. Once again with one car in front of me my time from order to pickup was about 6-7 minutes. The food was perfectly cooked and very fresh. I had a Baconzilla and fries combo on this visit. i usually go to the one in newport news which is well worth it...i was on a job in norfolk and decided to take lunch here. service was terrible couldn't understand the young lady working the cash register, she attempted to rush my order. my partner ordered a similar order yet different they didn't make it they thought they already sent it out (mine) once he brought it to their attention the old lady took my bag back starting digging in my bag saying "it's right here" not comprehending that there was two separate orders and the food sucked after all that the chicken and fries were dark but not burnt which means they haven't filtered out their fry oil or changed it in at least a week...the one on monticello ain't worth sh... read more

I personally always hit the walkup window since I live in the area. A lot of people complain about the speed of the service, but must keep in mind that there are two Rally's in Norfolk and people in the Hampton Roads area need to get their fix! I always do the coupon survey (buy a drink, get any sandwich for free) and the workers are more than happy to accommodate. It seems as if a lot of people are expecting five star service at a fast food spot. If you give respect, you will get respect. Food does tend to take a while, but that is often times because the line is backed up and/or they have to drop something fresh. I'd much rather have my spicy chicken fresh and wait a few extra minutes than have a dried out piece of chicken that's been sitting under a heat lamp throughout the entire day. With that said, my go to as of late has been the "Bacon Roadhouse" minus ranch, then adding my own hot sauce too it. Often times, I also add onions to it as well. Definitely a cheat meal and I allow myself to get it only once every two weeks, but you best believe that EVERY time I am near this Rally's, I'm stopping in for a receipt deal. Word to the wise: If you don't want your food to be cold, sit outside and eat it at the picnic tables while it's fresh. The area is not as bad as some people make it out to be. read more

Because since when did 2 combo meals cost over 20$ and on the receipt it don't have no price of the meal or how much tax it is... It basically has just the total price. Health inspectors.... Please go to this rally's!!!! I went there at approximately 9 tonight and the food was absolutely horrible. The food was old, and I order 2 apple pies and they tasted like French fries. They were so old that the apple was dried up in them or either over cocked. I am a chef and I will absolutely contact my colleagues from the health department. Shame on you rally's on Monticello avenue in Norfolk , Virginia. Okay I use Yelp mainly to read reviews before I check out a location but I felt the NEED to leave a review on this place. My sister's and I used the drive thru waited for 10+ minutes for someone to take our order, it was starting to get busy so I could understand. We finally order and pull up to the window. We pay and are waiting for another 10 minutes. I'm watching the people in the kitchen because I'm like this is taking pretty long. Two men are making the food and I watch one of them just in the kitchen wrapping sandwiches with his BARE HANDS just touching all over the sandwiches I was disgusted. He then proceeds to walk over to the fries and scooped the fries with his freaking BARE HANDS. At this point I'm desperately trying to get the cashiers attention before they make our food ,I ask her "Is that man not wearing gloves?" She looks me dead in the eyes and says "Oh no, he's not wearing gloves." she responded like she didn't get the issue.. I'm like " He's supposed to be wearing gloves he's handling food with his bare hands..???" She walks over and whispers to him and then he puts on gloves. Like wtf! This doesn't even have to do with the epidemic (he wasn't wearing a mask either if you care) it has to do with basic hygiene!! Who knows how often he's in there touching food like that!
