While last night was my second time ever having Chick-Fil-A, it my first time actually going inside to order. The drive-through lane was about 20 cars deep, so we decided to take our chances inside. As soon as we walked in, I was absolutely blown away by the personality of our cashier- She was very positive, funny and and down to earth. Their waffle fries were super warm and really quite good. They pair so well with the included buffalo sauce too. While I think I may have made a mistake by choosing to have my chicken nuggets grilled, they weren't bad at all. I have come to this location many a times to satisfy cravings for fried chicken and waffle fries...however, my visit on Aug 12 will be my last. While getting what should be the "medium" size amount of fries after ordering a large has become pretty standard at this location, this evening I ordered two "large" fries and put together, both "servings" of fries didn't fill even one large container...disappointing. I understand towards the end of the night, maybe they're trying to get through until closing, I don't know, but be transparent with the customers - I'll order a small fry if that's the case. But my frustration didn't all boil down to some waffle fries... What led to my sending a complaint to customer service twice and getting no response before deciding to turn to Yelp, was finding an inch-long black hair, in my order of macaroni and cheese. Ruined the meal for me which I unfortunately had kicked off with the mac n cheese. Considering these employees should be wearing masks at all times and hopefully hair nets, I was appalled to have found a hair in my meal! I couldn't go on eating. I found myself in the area a little after 6 PM on a Wednesday. I had intended to dine elsewhere but when I couldn't immediately find a parking spot I thought I would just pick something up at Chick-fil-A instead. It was a good choice. I had never been the this CFA location so I wasn't prepared for two drive-through lanes with cars lined up out onto the street. The parking lot was almost at capacity but I managed to find a spot. Once safely parked I pulled out my phone and placed my order with the CFA app. I had a free Chocolate Chunk Cookie reward for my birthday and a free small Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake reward waiting for my in the app. I was sharing this with my wife so I added two Deluxe Spicy Chicken Sandwiches with pepperjack cheese and a large waffle fry. I placed my order then went inside the restaurant to the pick up area. The dining room was pretty crowded with only a few empty tables. The order pick up area was crowded as well. I noticed this was not the typical CFA crowd found at other locations I frequent. This was a younger crowd, most Millenials, and I was easily the oldest person in the place. I don't think I've ever seen so many man buns in one place. Despite the crowd my order was read very quickly, I was really surprised at how fast it was, no more than five minutes from when I walked through the door. I headed home where my wife and I enjoyed our meal. Everything was prepared correctly and was very tasty, just like CFA does it every time. The milkshake was okay but wasn't really one of my favorite flavor profiles. That Chocolate Chunk Cookie though... MMM MMM GOOD! Nice location in Norfolk by many other restaurants. The parking lot/ drive thru can be a little confusing and tight if it is super busy, but we stopped by on a weekday evening around dinner time and it's wasn't too crazy. They have 2 drive thru lanes and it is efficient! There was a line, but we got through in just about 10 minutes or less tbh. This is my alternate Chick-fil-A to go to when I visit the zoo with my daughter. This is place is pretty cool but the traffic pattern within the area is constantly being ignored by customers (it's already busy to begin with) and can create a bit of havoc in the area when trying to go in. Big note - do yourself a favor and use the app to place your order. This place gets CRAZY busy. The food has never disappointed and the service is 'usually' good but with everything going on I can see why the workers sometimes get a bit distressed. I have historically really liked this location, however I had a horrible experience with the catering yesterday (12/3), so this review is for that. I ordered a medium tray of nuggets ($56! Wow!) to be ready at 4:30pm. They took 27 minutes to come out, and because of that I was actually late to the event I bought them for. On top of that, I had three different staff check in with me while I was standing there waiting for all that time, and no one provided a status update until I caught the eyes of Ben about 10-15 minutes into the wait, who was a supervisor I believe. He at least provided a status update of what was going on. Once the nuggets were actually ready, they forgot the plates I requested, didn't have the large container of sauce I ordered (they gave small packets, but this was a work function so it was weird that people had to share ), and didn't include napkins. I asked about the missing stuff, and they told me I could get my own napkins out of the single-serve dispenser by the sauces. Eh, ok. I received very little in terms of an apology from any staff - one girl did offer to carry the bag to my car which was sweet, but does not excuse food ordered in advance from being 27 minutes late. The staff mostly seemed nervous about the mistake and tired. I've always been so impressed with Chick-fil-a service, I would have thought they'd offer a lemonade and a seat, but they had staff on their breaks sprawled all over the seating near the register, and I had a feeling that if I went out of immediate view my order would be forgotten. Oh well. My recommendation: skip catering from Chick-fil-a. There are better places that meet deadlines. read more

Chic fil a's all over the country are renowned for their Uber-efficiency at moving large amount of cars through their drive though line, particularly through the pandemic and still delivering top notch service and food. This location took a long look at how the others in the area and across the country have stepped up and said "fuck that shit. We're gonna be different. Let's be slow with so-so food" I could get in the car line here, call and order a pizza from Chesapeake and it would be delivered to me in line before I make it to the window. Every time I get I'm like here I (naively) think "this time it will be different buddy, this time it won't take an hour, they've definitely stepped it up by now..." But by the end, I am exposed as a fool yet again. 36 minutes into the current wait, haven't even made it around the bend yet. If I should pass before my time at the window comes, please tell my children to drive to the one on Virginia Beach Boulevard, it will take less time to drive there order get the food and come back, and the food will be better. read more

My biggest complaint is there is no point to having a drive thru and a mobile thru because it's only one lane to get to both. The line is always so packed that's it's not point in ordering ahead. The good thing about the mobile thru is you don't have to wait and talk to anyone you just scan a code. Customer service is good and it always looks clean in the inside. Food is always fresh! Relatively small not a lot of room between the wall and urinal. Trash and dirt on the ground. However the convenience of it is beyond adequate. I love to see a changing table in the mens room.The arm handle is a great touch and the hand rails in the stall makes getting up a breeze. 4 stars because it has everything you want in a restroom it just needs to be cleaned. read more

Chick-Fil-A is very big on customer service coming from the corporate level, so when a certain location meets or exceeds that level of customer service that corporate promises I rate them highly. Time and time again I have come and received great service here, from the drive-thru window to dine-in. Everyone is in a good mood here, and that reflects on the customers. I recommend the Nuggets, the Chick-Fil-A Deluxe Sandwich, the Grilled Club, and the Cobb Salad. Those are just a few of my favorites. Plus, you can't go wrong with a Chocolate or Cookies & Cream Milkshake in my opinion. Chick-Fil-A is honestly my top favorite fast food, and I am so glad we have one close to downtown this good. So slow it takes literally 30 minutes to get through the line to even order. I've Been here a few times in the morning lately around 10 AM hoping to catch breakfast and every single time I'm sitting in the line so long that by the time I get to order it's the lunch menu. It seems like they're never fully staffed over here like other chic fil a's and even when they are it's not the same customer service that you get it any other Chick-fil-A. And then there's no where to be able to get out of the line if you change your mind about ordering so you have to wait out the line the whole way. For a high traffic area, this location does a good job of keeping the line moving both in side and in drive thru. Even during busy hours I never had a wrong order. I have noticed that I get my food faster inside at times, verse going in drive thru. However, the employees are always nice and friendly, and I personally prefer this location over any other. read more
