I was in town for a festival last week. I live in LA so honestly tasted a lot of korean chicken and did not expect that much. I also do have CM chicken around my neighborhood too but honestly, this location is the best chicken in the world! I ordered Onion Chicken Tender and Garlic Spicy Chicken. The tenders are soooo tender! I mean, they are called tenders so ofcourse they are "tender" but this was cooked and seasoned right to the point, crispy outside and so juicy inside. The Galic Spicy chicken is little on the Spicy side but that is right down my alley. It satisfied my last day of travel so much!! The mom owner was sooo nice and caring, welcoming and making sure everything was good. It was the perfect experience to have far away from home. I will definitely visit again when I go back! It's been a while since I last ate at CM and it was even in Chicago. The food here is great, very crispy, juicy and so fresh. I had the honey garlic wings w coleslaw and did not disappoint. The service was good, he is attentive. The restaurant is so big and looks clean. Hopefully they do good on other times since it is just us when we dine at 11:30 on a Monday. A lot better compared with the competition. One thing to improve should be to use made not frozen store bought kongdog was not good. Overall a must visit and will definitely come back. read more

The place was packed and there were still a few waiting for open tables. On a weekend, it looked like they only had 4-5 staff working, that included the bar area. I recently reviewed based on my visit to the one in Hampton so I may as well keep the train going. I'll start with the fact that I'm a big fan of CM Chicken. The food is undisputed. It's going to be good. No need to even go there. If you're a fan of CM chicken and want some delicious wings, you can't go wrong. My only reason for deducting the star was due to the overall service from the staff and the facility. The staff were barely attentive to us and were pretty preoccupied doing other things. It was a little upsetting considering the Hampton restaurant is what I'm sure the expectations are for service. Also the facility. It seems... incomplete. Almost like they still have some renovations to do. Maybe they do? However, with so much open space it was like I was in a dining hall that was formally a bar. But - like I said, the food, spot on delicious. Would I go back? Of course.. it's just THAT good. Loved the chicken here! We got the 10 pc curry wings, and they were massive and super juicy and incredibly delicious. I enjoyed every bite and even had one drumstick leftover. We also ordered tteokbokki which was a good shareable size for me and my fiance. It was also very flavorful and the rice cakes had a nice chew to them. Their fried dumplings are also really really good. Everything was made fresh and piping hot! I highly recommend that if you are getting chicken with these sides, to just share the appetizers/sides with the group because the chicken itself is really filling. If you want to give korean flavors a try, this might be a good place to start since the flavors are topped on fried chicken which is very familiar to the American palate. The menu is not overwhelming, so it's not like you're trying to wrap your head on so many new things. It's very much a chicken place. They do top your chicken with onions, but you can probably ask for no onions as it's just a topping on the chicken itself. I will say though, the onions are not incredibly strong. They are very light and you can definitely eat a bunch of them without wanting to cry/gag lol. In my opinion, I feel like you get your money's worth here more than at a Bonchon's. If you had to decide between the two for chicken, I would give this one a shot. Aside from the food, the space is not crammed, the bar is spacious, and there are a lot of TVs showcasing sports and Korean food and pop culture! I only have good things to say, really. This place is amazing. It's a little further down granby from the major hotels. But, it's less than a mile and more than worth the walk. We tried bonchon the night before we tried CM Chicken. CM blows its competition out of the water. The restaurant was clean and uncluttered. The host and wait staff were attentive. They actually got our orders right. This places is so good. It serves authentic Korean fried chicken. I had the honey garlic wings and it was super yummy and hit the spot. The breading was crispy, even with the sauce. I couldn't finish it and took the rest home. It was delicious the next day and even had some crunch. For their breading, they use ingredients from Korea, which is why it tastes so authentic. I also had a mango smoothie, which was delicious. This stuff is the real deal. They use real organic mangoes and don't use the syrups that you may see in other boba places. The place is clean and spacious. The Korean army was visiting since they were performing at the Virginia International Tattoo festival. They ate there every day during their visit, so you know it was delicious and authentic! They even nicknamed the owner their Virginia mom. Went for a solo lunch. The service was welcoming and well-paced. Ended up sitting at the bar which was comfortable. Ordered the Chi-Bop with the Red Hot Pepper sauce. I had inquired as to the hottest sauce and that was the one. It is a slow burn and really quite flavorful. The staff also recommended the garlic options (although less spicy) - will need to come back to try them. Came here craving some good wings and was not disappointed! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the beautiful ambiance and the lovely hostess who was very knowledgeable about the menu. The chicken was a 10/10 I had the soy garlic & honey garlic which the honey garlic was recommended by them and I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, they were very nice and I was attended quickly. I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed more but I had an emergency back at work so I was in a rush to go back and they were very understanding and helpful in me having a very quick exit which I greatly appreciate. I recommend this establishment. I only ordered food and did not stay in the restaurant. However, during the time I entered I was greeted with a warm smile and everyone seemed excited that I was there because I was a new face. They treated me and my dad with very pleasantly. When I made a quick change to my order, after they were about to finish my first order, they made quick adjustments without hassle to get me what I wanted. Everyone seemed friendly and if I stayed there to eat, I'm positive it would have been a fantastic experience. Bonus points if you have ever visited Korea. The pickled radish is a good choice, it is tangy and fresh. It complements the fried chicken. The chicken wings are quite large, and the portions are generous. The flavor on the wings was amazing ~soy garlic was not too salty, the spicy garlic is similar to Yangnyeom chicken, and was savory and sweet and not too spicy. The wings are crispy and super crunchy, if you have never had Korean fried chicken then it is a must try. The sauce coats the wings quite well but they remain very crispy.
