It's tucked away in a shopping center and inside there is a small table to sit at and dine in - but we took our food to go. My wife ordered the vegan Philly cheesesteak with sweet potato fries and I ordered the 5 wing combo with sauces fries. While the establishment didn't seem the nicest - we were warmly greeted by the owner and she was very kind in directing us to what food to try and have us some options from the menu. The food - the presentation and portions were definitely fairs. I sampled the fries from both before grabbing a photo - whoops. Sweet potato fries with powdered sugar and caramel sauce on the side was like having dessert first. The batter on the fries was crisp and full of flavor. Almost couldn't stop after one. The sauced fries were great as well - just prepare to get "sticky fingers." Now on to the entrees. The vegan Philly cheesesteak was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were well sautéed and flavor able while delivering a little heat to keep your destructive taste buds from devouring the sandwhich too quickly. The vegan meat itself was almost indistinguishable from real meat per my wife - and I would have to agree. The wings were crisped nicely and the sticky sauce was very delicious. It did not need a dip to go with - and it was eaten all the way down to the bone. We will definitely be back to try out some other delicious foods- both vegan and non vegan. You can't go wrong either way!

Then I got the sandwich, and I was like, actually, $17 is a more than fair price, LOL. For a second, I attempted to eat it with my hands, but its size made it an unwieldy experience. So I ate it with a knife and fork. And it was DELICIOUS. The sandwich came with a big piece of crispy fried chicken that the bun could barely contain. The chicken was fried fresh, so it was hot and juicy. In addition to being hot in temperature, it was hot spice-wise. It came with candied jalapeños, soy chili jam, pickles, and Sriracha. The spice was balanced well with some nice sweetness and a tasty kale slaw that added some brightness to the sandwich. Even the bun itself was delicious. The place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a few tables if you want to dine in. The water is self-serve. There are cups and a sport cooler in front of the counter.

I pulled up the Chicken Ranch menu online and decided I would try them. It is a small establishment. Tables were clean. There is seating inside and two small tables outside for diners. The manager was explaining they make everything fresh and offered to answer any questions I had. I took a look at the specials then decided on a two piece crispy tenders meal. It came with a jalapeño corn muffin. It was 10 dollars and I chose a chocolate chip cookie with caramel and pecans in it because, why not. My chicken was delicious. I chose hot honey sauce because I was curious. It was so spicy and cleaned my sinuses right up. The sauce came on the side, thank goodness for that. The muffin was OK. It would have been better warmed. The cookie: sooooo good. Because I was being nice, I gave my kid a piece, but next time I will eat it in the car before I get home, like the pros do.

Unassuming, but not to be underestimated. I walked in off the street looking for a lunch option…read morethat was quick, healthy, and not insanely priced. I was happily surprised to find all 3 at Irie. They have a simple setup designed for takeout mainly, with a fast casual build-your-own bowl format. I was lost with all of the options and the server was super great with helping this white boy navigate an authentic Jamaican menu. There were no wrong answers. Each bite felt like a hug from someone's grandma. Everything was fresh, well marinated, and bursting with unique flavors. I got a bowl that in my modest opinion could feed a family of 3 (which it did not, I was the family of 3) for only $12! Definitely recommend and will be going back whenever I'm in town.

I continue to suffer residual side effects from dental work I had done at the beginning of August. My taste buds have been severely affected and I don't feel things taste right many times, nor do I get the nuances of spice. I'm hoping this resolves over time, but it has been quite upsetting for the last several months. Unfortunately, both the dentist and the specialist I went to told me that it may take a very long time to resolve, if it resolves completely at all. Now, back to Irie. I arrived precisely at 11 and a very friendly gentleman unlocked the door and ushered me in. Food was ready and prepared in the serving trays. I was getting food for myself and my buddy at work so I ordered a jerk chicken bowl with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains for him and half-and-half bowl of jerk chicken and curry chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and macaroni and cheese for me. I also got one of the small rum cake cakes. I think the total was $35 which is fairly reasonable for a hearty lunch for two these days. The interior is clean and unremarkable and they have no seating. It is purely takeout. I didn't get the gentleman's name, but I told him I'd tried every other Jamaican place around and he said I would like like his the best. He was either the manager or the owner, I'm not sure. The food was still nice and warm when we dug in a little while later. Everything seemed tasty to me, considering my aforementioned condition. I did taste the chicken curry, but the jerk chicken I didn't get the flavors of although I did get the heat. My buddy said it was very good. The standard chicken dishes are chopped chicken, but they are also available on the bone at the same price. The mac & cheese was creamy. The rice and peas were well prepared and not some of the lower quality stuff I've had in the past. The cabbage seemed a little on the bland side with just cabbage in the mix, although my buddy liked it so it could've just been my messed up taste buds. I am used to having bits of carrot and thyme in the stewed cabbage from other places, and that is typically the way I make it at home. I also tried one of my buddy's plantains, and it did seem sweet from what I could tell. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to gather much flavor from the rum cake. My buddy said it was good and almost like a butter rum muffin. All in all, it was a hearty meal, and I will definitely go back in the future, hopefully with my ability to taste properly restored at some point.
