Raley's is my normal store of choice when I'm shopping for groceries in town. They have a super nice meat counter display that I like to check out in case there's any good deals of good looking steaks. I was browsing by the other day and saw these were some nice marbled and thick cut NY steaks. I like a thick cut of meat on the grill. Good thing I have someone to do the grilling. These steaks looked so good I got 3 of them. They were choice grade, but looked almost prime grade to me. I cut one of the steaks in half to cook 2 halves. They cook easier that way when they're that thick. They cooked up super nice and I'm glad I got more then one. These were so big, I think about 1.4 lbs each, they feed two. It's always a good thing to check out the meat counter here at Raley's. read more

My favorite grocery store to visit when I'm in Red Bluff. This store is extremely clean inside, has a modern look, is cheerful and bright, and has a very wide selection of food products. I'm impressed, considering that Red Bluff is a small town. Their deli and bakery sections are very good, and the produce section also impresses me. Quality service has never been lacking here - all employees I've encountered have been helpful. If you need groceries in Red Bluff, this is a great place to shop at. read more

I'm not going to say the Red Bluff Raley's is anything exceptional, but in terms of Raley's stores you could do a lot worse. They have the full stock and selection that brings me to Raley's and it's a relatively painless in-and-out experience because it is a small town versus a busy city center. We came in to buy supplies for a trip we were making up north. The store is a little dated - think mid 90's decor vibe, but I never go to grocery stores for the interior design. I like how the produce section is centrally located. I liked their selection of beers and the bakery. The lady who checked us out was also very friendly and helpful. That's just what you look for in a small town store. Like any Raley's though, it's pricier than your other grocery stores. That's because their shelves focus on top brand names. If you want to spend less for more I say go to WInco, otherwise this is your best option. read more

With our trailer in tow behind the Tundra, we are passing through Red Bluff--population 14K. It has an "eye-gawking" appealing historic downtown. Located on the ripping roaring overflowing Sacramento River. How about a good grocery store? We need to restock some pantry and "frig" items. Since we are mostly on a plant-based and IPA diet, this store has a bountiful selection of produce--don't panic, it's organic--way we like it. And a good selection of craft beer, even one of my Oregon favorites--Ninkasi--way we like it! Of course there is Sierra Nevada which is located down the #99 FrWy in Chico. Also, a broad selection of other breweries, like Deschutes! That's all we were looking for so we did not check out anything else. In and out and on our way to the local brew pub in historic Main St. But the place is clean & tidy, shelves well stocked. So while hanging out in the area, we would not hesitate to go on back. Top notch store for most products and quality food. To bad management won't spend the money on signage or more employees at the deli counter. Not all who wait are waiting for sandwiches. Some are waiting for sliced meat and bakery goods. Umm is there some way anyway maybe in the future to upgrade that part of the store. read more

This evening I left my wallet in a shopping cart in the parking lot. But thank God for Edward who was observant enough to notice it as well as honest and kind to turn it in to the manager. I have been shopping at Raley s since we bought our home in 2018. I went to get some sandwiches for my family on 6/21/21. Asked deli for the sandwiches and they could make all but the tuna sandwich that I ordered because they didn't have any. If you don't have any made go to the tuna isle get some make it and take care of your customer. Safeway does this with a smile. I do like Raleys but management needs to train their employees to cater to their customers. read more

Waiting way too long in line for chicken. This is not the first time. There are people in the back working but only two people working the counter. Their sign says they serve chicken until 8. I stopped by on the way up to backpack up in the mountains. I picked up a few bars of Lindt Extra Creamy Milk chocolate. After a grueling backpack into the Ishi Wilderness, my group was looking forward to s'mores. We opened up the bar of chocolate and it was all white. We checked the expiration date and it was 10/31/2012. That is almost 6 MONTHS Expired! WTH? I called the Raleys store just to let the manager know. It is not feasible to drive 4 hour rt for a replacement. The manager had no apology. TSK tsk. She could of at least showed some empathy and say she was sorry for the expired food the store had stocked on the shelf! Needless to say, we burned the chocolate in the fire! read more

More employees than customers and I could only get about three seconds of their time. I was needing a thermometer, yes I know. Mine stopped working, girl friend thought she had a fever. Doing the right thing and monitoring our health so we can protect others. Asked and all the person in that Dept did was shake her head and she walked away. I had to ask if that was a no, and she never turned around and shook her head again. I'm sure they r sick of being asked but this wasn't a Hysterical run on supplies. Sure, everything might be a little bit more pricey than other stores, but this grocery store has it all and it's all good. I normally just come here for the fresh produce and meat selection, but every now and then I'll get a deli sandwich or some fried chicken. They also have a section for sushi and Peete's Coffee in the deli area. Raley's carries a lot of brands that bigger chains might not and that's what I like about them. The employees are always friendly, helpful and some of them even know me by name. I've never had a problem in here whatsoever which is just one reason why I'll keep coming back. read more

Went to this Raley's location with my vegetarian daughter who was visiting for the week. The produce was very disappointing but the customer service was even more so. There was a long wait at check out and once we got to the register the clerk looked right passed us to the couple behind me she obviously knew and started talking to them. Did not acknowledge us at all. Not even when she finished ringing the order. I slid my card, my daughter bagged the groceries and the cashier didn't even look our direction to hand me the register tape - just tossed it to the end of the belt. The missing bagger reappeared in time to start bagging the order behind us and practically pushed my daughter out of the way. My daughter and I just looked at each other and she said "What are we, invisible?" My sentiments exactly! I regret not demanding to speak to the manager right then and there! Ended up returning the terrible fruit. Was told by the produce guy that everything was being pushed out into the stores too early so they are having problems with bad produce. read more

Great location to get sushi. Johnny has been making fresh sushi rolls for years, they are delicious. We also like ordering sandwiches which are always a nice change from the ordinary sub shop. I call ahead to avoid the long lines. The store is clean, bathrooms are always kept up, they have a great selection of specialty foods, for Red Bluff, and fresh produce. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Keep up the great work!! read more

No matter what the conditions are, Raley's comes through. In Red Bluff we've had several instances of days long power outages, and now the Covid-19 stay-at-home recommendation. Raley's provides curbside pick-up, senior hours, and a shopping service. They have maintained a well-stocked store, with a few exceptions due to panic hoarding. The staff is just as friendly and professional as always, despite the increases need for sanitizing and risk to themselves. read more

It's a little pricey here but you get what you pay for. Much higher quality than other super markets in the area. It's always bright and clean, they have friendly and helpful staff and a great selection and variety of brands and foods including a solid British / Foreign section. Awesome deli, fresh sushi made daily and Pete's Coffee on tap. They also have a large selection of beer, wine and liquor (including my favorite whiskey Tullamore Dew). I love Raley's! read more

We went to get whole crab and asked the butcher if he could clean it, he just stood there shaking his head. I asked if he couldn't because it was partially frozen and he continued shaking his head. I asked do you clean them? Finally, he rudely said, it's not that hard. A simple we don't clean them would've been fine from the beginning. He went back into the back and I looked for the scallops that were on sale. I didn't see any and asked a different butcher where I could find them. She asked bay scallops? and I said the ones on sale for 9.99 a pound. She said she needs to put them out. Here it is on Saturday at noon, the sale started Wednesday and you don't have any out? Hmmm. Maybe I expect too much from Raleys. read more

I like curbside...have been treated so well and the items I order always seem to be carefully selected. That being said some of the staff inside could use a refresher course on basic manners. Two incidents come to mind; One, I got some rotten fruit. (pre cut watermelon in tubs) I called the produce manager...he said you dont need to bring it back...just tell the check out clerk she will not charge for the replacement. I even brought the slip with the managers name on it. The check out clerk insisted that I needed to bring back the two week old rotten fruit for a replacement! Two, A man in the bakery boxed my pastries using bare hands. I asked him if he shouldnt be wearing gloves...he said snottily...I just washed my hands. I declined to take the boxed pastries...he stormed away. I called the 800 number was told I would hear from the manager...I never heard another word. I do like their curbside pick up...so much friendlier and caring than your check out staff. read more

When my husband and I go shopping we always love going to Railey's. Everyone there are always nice. We always have to go to the deli to get their chicken strips and potatoes they are the best in town we think. We love their sandwiches because they are made to the way we like them and fast. We like the order system how you can get a number then go do your shopping and come back and not have to wait in line. Their check out lines are always moving and you never have yo wait more then a few seconds. We love the self check out lanes because then if we have one or two things we can get out faster. Trust me, this is as good as what your will get in a authentic restaurant. This review is for the sushi at this Raley's location. I had the spicy tuna and it was absolutely delicious for premade sushi. The guy that works in the sushi department is also very knowledgeable about the ingredients of the sushi and its sauces. This is also probably the only place you can get sushi in Red Bluff...just sayin' :) read more
