Their rotisserie chicken is the best grocery store chicken I've had.

After scanning my return code, was instructed to place my item in one of the provided plastic bags. Only my item did not fit inside of the bag. Do I just slap a label on the item without the bag? Hmm. None of the FAQ applied to my situation. ie, Item too large for Dropbox? Nope, it will fit inside of that just fine. Too many items to fit inside bag? Try separating them into individual bags. Nope. Only had one item to place in the bag. Sooo. Since it was none of the above, I pressed the get help button. Mainly to see if I was just supposed to forgo the plastic bag part. The kiosk instructed me to wait for an associate and the red light came on. No one came over to help. Had to extend the time on the kiosk 2x. Finally, a RUDE worker came over to let me know that his "preference" was for me to go to the service counter. No apologies for the long wait or lack of signage or instructions to go to the desk. There was no signage stating that employees prefer customers to come to the desk instead of waiting at the kiosk. As a first-time customer, I followed the kiosk's instructions, which told me to wait for an associate. When one finally came over, I was rudely told it was their preference that I come to the desk instead. If that's the preferred process, there should be clear signage or the kiosk should say so. I can tell you what my preference is: clear instructions for customers and courteous service. My preference is also to never return here again.

I think he was hired pretty recently, but he's already one of my favorite people there. He has this hilarious, old-timey sense of humor that makes checking out way more fun than it has any right to be. Not curmudgeonly at all. Just quirky, dry, and genuinely funny. I find myself going to his line whenever I see him because I know I'm going to leave laughing. More people should talk about how great the staff is here. Theo is awesome, and he's a perfect example of why I keep coming back.

I love their mugs and glasses so much - I bought a mushroom shaped glass for my coffee that was on clearance! They also have a great selection of throw pillows and other home decorating items. I think World Market is a great place for finding unique gifts or items from your home - some items are pricy, but if you're lucky, they usually have a nice selection of marked down items. Right now the shop is loaded with Easter items (basket, candy, toys, home decor) perfect to create that special Easter basket and decorate your home. The food section has a selection of coffee, tea, jams, cookies, snacks, candy, sauces, and dry goods from around the world. To name a few... they had frankfurters in glass jars from Germany; hazelnut spread from 5 different countries including Spain; English tea from united ted Kingdom Sri Lanka; different varieties of mochi from Taiwan; and variety of cookies from various countries. Pricing is comparable and some are cheaper than the domestic counterparts at my local grocery store. This section is in the back left corner of the shop. I also like their selection of furniture ... lamps, sofas, dining sets. The various styles are farmhouse, bohemian, modern contemporary, and mid century. Pricing is not outrageous. The shop in Folsom is clean, organized. Staff are kind. Like all other shops, gone are the days where extra staff walk the floor providing assistance. If assistance is needed, just go to the cashier at the front registers.

It carries the same type of stock as any grocery chain but on a smaller scale. The market has a sandwich deli to order fresh sliced sandwich meats and custom sandwiches. But I got a "beef" with them. All these years I was not told that with my sandwich order, I can get a free fountain drink or bottled water. What the hey?!? The deli counter person nor the cashier ever told me. Not until my last visit a few weeks ago. The cashier was great, she even asked a runner to grab me a bottled water. But he came back to say they were out. Seriously?! It's a grocery store ... no bottled water? Sure. Good grief. I would have taken a room temp bottle. Not really vibing with Holiday Market anymore.

New to the store, I had friendly help finding: the Spices, horseradish cream& some organic oats & baking supplies. We also purchased some pre/ sliced lasagna (yum), fresh roast beef, meatballs must be popular because they were out at 11:30 am Sunday. Home head meatballs are good for so many things. Not only to add to pasta, put on a slicer or with salad as an easy meal. Produce and meat selections were great & inviting. Fresh hot lasagna soup, tortilla soup and clam chowder all yum!
