Usually I go to Trader Joe's for my wine but today they were out of stock, so I made my way up the street to Raley's. Great way to make your customers feel valued especially when we can hear the employee's very clearly talk about us! Always get good customer service from this store except for the deli. The girl that works there rushes you (even when you are the only one at the deli). She isn't friendly at all. The rest of the staff is always friendly and willing to help you find something. They even show you where it is at instead of just pointing or telling you an isle. There was a time Where a kid pooped by self checkout and the staff didn't seem to care to block it off but just gave the mom paper towels to clean it up.People walked in it and tracked it around. The mom had 4 or 5 kids so she didn't clean it very well at all. Went a few days later and there was still poop trackings. read more

Everything in the store is great until you get to the deli section. The deli staff consistently gives me horrible service every time I come here. For the longest time I avoided coming to this location for deli services unless two employees are working Tiffany and Dawn they always do the job properly. But unfortunately today I was stuck with the one with nose piercings and she always messes up my sandwich or give me incorrect pricing... After about four weeks of me not showing up I tried to give them one last chance and this happened again so this is the last time I'll ever use deli services at this location. read more

I always go to this Raley's especially this pandemic because I thought it is cleaner and they follow the protocol of social distancing, dis infecting and others. Today, I got very disappointed when there was congregation around the cashier area of different group of customers ( no social distancing) and next isle is the self check out with this young man freely smiling without mask. None of the young workers said anything to correct the situation. I spoke up to a guy that helped me with bagging but it was late. I'm not sure how often this happens in there but Raley's should train their workers. We are still in this pandemic and I just lost a dear cousin this week. read more

Check your receipt. Having computer problems and may or may not give you cash back you did not request. This glitch has happened to me 3x's in last year. The management just shrugs their shoulder and says "sorry". Pretty screwed up response from corporate. Call center says they are in a meeting and to call back later. My brother took me here to find a cure for an overwhelmingly horrible sinus headache. We looked all over the medicine isle for something that had "sinus headache" in the name. No such luck. I stood in line for the pharmacist who walked back with me to the isle and made some recommendations. She also had some things back behind the counter that she could sell me. In the end, my brother spotted something helpful on the shelf that was the best buy out of all of my options. I've never seen such a diminutive medicine isle in a full-size grocery store before. What would have normally been a quick errand turned in to a 30 minute ordeal. Naaat cool when I'm being tortured by a sinus headache. Anyway, the rest of the store looked clean and in good order. This is the best grocery store I have ever shopped. It is just the right size and the selection is great. Their produce is fresh and beautifully displayed. The staff is friendly. Their online grocery option is superior to all others I have ever used -- easy to use and they are wonderful about checking in if there is ever a substitution needed. The original Fairfield Raley's, and very dark and depressing. VERY difficult to find anyone working after 18:00 or so. And the staff seems to have an attitude problem all the time. The two stars added is for the incredibly quick and professional response by Chris C. that I am really astonished by. Since I dropped by only twice that particular week ( February 6-13 ), I would have to say that it may have been just an aberration, or that things will be better in the future. Well I was a bit disappointed with this store and the location has very little parking. The store was clean and has some of the longest aisles I have ever seen in a grocery store.....but what disappointed me was the prices. I mean almost 5 bucks for milk.....2.49 a pound for tomatoes......limited produce......this is unacceptable. Why do you ask? Well California grows and provides half of the produce in this great country of ours and to have the local stores with limited produce and outrageous prices is exactly why I gave this store only 2 stars. Don't get me wrong......I know that prices vary both in the good direction and the bad direction but the fact that Raley's is one of the major grocery store chains in the Bay Area......they should really do better. Why do I like grocery shopping at this Raley's? I like it because it's clean, well-organized, well-stocked, has a good amount of specialty/health food brands that I like, has self checkout, it's staffed with competent employees, and the lines are usually not long (unlike Safeway, which is actually closer to me, but has death lines and bad customer service). I'm usually here a couple of times per week and I usually find what I need at decent prices. When I need help I find the employees are pleasant. One star off because the hot food/deli selection is small and there isn't a meat/fish counter. read more

DON'T SIGN UP FOR THE "SOMETHING EXTRA" CARD! i tried to use a coupon i got in the mail and when the cashier asked me to enter my phone number, i must have inputted a wrong digit because the name didn't pop up as me, but some other guy. the cashier then looked at me like i was trying to rip him off. he even shook his head at me like i was some petty crook. i asked him if i could re-enter my number because it was obviously a mistake and the guy shook his head again and said this, no joke, this is actually what he said: "it's already locked in. you can only enter your number once. your name has to match, PERIOD!" . the guy was actually scolding me about the coupon like i tried to steal from him. oh yeah, and im battling some allergies which are causing me some hearing loss and a stuffy nose, and when i couldnt hear what he was saying he started to treat me like i was some sort of idiot. Apparently, you only get one try to enter your phone number, so make sure you type it in, or the cashiers will try to embarrass you in front of the other shoppers and workers. i go to that raley's and pay higher prices because i want to shop in a place with a cleaner, friendly environment with good service. this raley's usually has that, but this last encounter was enough for me to second guess that. i might as well shop at that weak ass walmart down the street and be depressed by the other workers and the crummy produce if im going to get treated like a damn crook. btw, if you have to buy something in that raley's, avoid the register that is manned by the taller, older brother with the glasses on the morning shift on the weekend that's trying to pull a cool guy routine. that guy's an asshole. anyway, moral of the story is, don't sign up for the something extra card because you end up giving up your personally information and the coupons don't work, and when you don't input your number correctly the first time, the cashier will talk to you like you are a crook. i hope the management at raley's read these reviews, and take them seriously, i noticed that raley's slowly starting to slide downhill and this was just another example of why. now i gotta start going to safeway for my produce now! read more

This store does racial profiling . I went with my son to look for birthday cake. The white lady in the counter asked if we'll order a cake. I told her No, my son probably wants the cake on display. While we were looking for other cakes in another table, I saw the security guard walking towards us . When he saw us looking at him, he turned around talking on his walkie talkie and went back to his post near the door.. At first, I thought it's nothing but if he was not targeting us he could have walked past us.?? I felt so bad why they would target us. We did not dressed poorly.We're just regular innocent customers looking to buy a birthday cake.Probably, that rude white lady in the bakery was the one calling on us since she was the only one in the counter. Was visiting the area and needed to make a grocery run. As opposed to the bay area where every store is busy all the time, was nice to see the store almost empty on a Saturday evening. My sister asked me to go food shopping with her at Raleys. Honestly, I wasn't too thrilled since Raley's reminded me of a dirty Albertsons, but it was better than I had expected. It was clean inside, large, with many different options. What impressed me most was their "healthy" section where they have LOTS of items. Places like Safeway don't even have a healthy section. There are tons of vegan/vegetarian frozen dinners, almost like the selection a natural grocery store would have. They had a large range of dairy free desserts and my favorite brands (like Luna and Larry's coconut bliss). They even had vegan chocolate and kale chips. They also had a good option of organic produce, and lots of different things that I can't find at Safeway or other grocery stores. For example, they have a large "ethnic" isle with lots of asian crackers and treats. Theres a certain brand of crackers that I can only find at Berkeley Bowl, Berkeley's natural grocery store, and they had it here! They also had awesome seaweed snacks for like .79 cents. If I lived in the area, I would def. return for smaller grocery trips as they seem to be able to meet every shopper's needs whether you eat healthy or unhealthy. read more

I love that this store is just past the overpass near mi casa. I can just walk and be there in ten minutes. I love that I can come here and get some things that I need in a short amount of time. This place is very convenient. I also love that the location is very clean, and OMG they have two redboxes! I mostly come for the movies too. Try out their small vanilla cake from the bakery. I shop here multiple times a week and go in here for the location since it's around the corner from my house. Some staff knows me by name and I appreciate that but the leader Kirk I'm not sure what his problem is. Went in today and got all my things including a six pack of beer. He was checking and asked me for my ID told I didn't have it on me. I had it in the car but wasn't going to run back and forth. He said not going to sell it to you. This guy even says hi to me when I walk in all the times I'm in there. I thought he was kidding until he took the beer and put it away. He said sorry and I was like are you serious I'm here 2 sometimes 3 times a week and have never had this problem. I really think that he was on a power trip. I enjoy going to this Raley's. It's only a 2 min drive from my house and they have everything I need. Except for cashew dove chocolates lol but I should stay away from those for a while anyways. It's also I good environment to shop at when you have a baby. I will admit tho the other Raley's at the end of Fairfield seems to make better tasting deli sandwiches. I would of given them one no stars but here we are. I picked up a cake for my fathers birthday. The lady behind the bakery counter assisted me in selecting a cake when I asked if she could write in cursive happy birthday she assured me she could and confirmed on the name spelling. I attached pictures I was so embarrassed and upset this is the cake my dad blew his candles on. My 12 year old could of done a heck of a better job. Note after she handed me the cake she mentioned it had been years since she wrote in cursive at this comment I pretty much walked out (after paying for this cake and ballons) beyond displeased and annoyed. I only ask if you have employees behind certain counters please assure that they can perform all duties of this department. She should of been at deli. My father in all had a good birthday but as a daughter I felt ashamed to show up with this but after she wrote on it as hideous as it was I did not have the heart to put it back. I had ask the front cashier lady for help twice before i asked Nichole and Gemma. The front cashier lied to us saying they didn't have any when we walked up to pay. All she had to do was ask for help, best part the cashier didn't see we had ginger in our cart. So her surprise when she saw it and I said they did was the best. Best Grocery Store in Fairfield! Fair prices. Good, high quality produce selection. Great bakery. Great flower department with good prices. Great sandwiches and Deli counter. Excellent meat selection with very high quality steaks/ribs/pork/chicken. Extensive craft brew selection. Staff is usually pretty friendly with only a few less than ideal employees (which you run into everywhere). Can be crowded later in the day so go earlier for faster checkout. I've shopped Safeway and the newer Raley's in town but always come back to this store as the best choice in town. Extra-Rewards program is just another bonus. read more

This used to be my go-to grocery store. Now? Nope. The stupidly slow service behind the deli counter is ridiculous. It took them 10 minutes to cut 1/2 lb. each of three different lunchmeats and you'd have thought I was asking for the moon with my name on it. The girl behind the counter (with charming NOSERING - that's appetizing) was bored beyond belief and even though I asked TWICE for thicker sliced bologna, it's not what I got. I am in love with this store! The manager Kirk is always smiling and greeting the customers as well as interacting with the employees in such a respectful manner which leads to the excellent customer service I have experienced throughout the store. Not only that, the store is impeccably clean. The produce section always looks fresh and enticing. They have the best freshly baked snickerdoodle cookies I have tasted as well as lovely pastries, cakes & pies. I have tried a variety and all have been supurb! In addition, you do not want to miss out on picking up one of the BEST ready to go Tri-Tips for dinner. The flavor is so delicious and the meat is so well cooked it melts in your mouth. As much as I really like their sandwiches, I HATE the service at the deli. The ladies there always seem annoyed when I ask for anything from the deli. I was just in there this morning to get a sandwich for my lunch, I waited for about 5 minutes before the girl acknowledged me. This wasn't from a lack of seeing me. It was like she looked up, exhaled and just seemed annoyed that she had to stop what she's doing and help me. God I hate that. This Raley's has the worst Raley's selection out of all the Raley's there are in the area. Everything is Raley's brand, no REAL brands. I do have to say, I like the cashiers and courtesy clerks though. Ryan and Marlene were very pleasant. I asked Ryan (as his name tag says) where the cucumbers were, and he kindly showed me. Marlene helped my grandma out to the car, and she was very sweet to the elderly lady. 10/10 service 2/10 selection. read more

I normally don't do my grocery shopping at Raley's, but this location is clean and has their healthy food section pretty stocked up. I usually come here to visit the in-store Chase thats open later then the usual branches. They also have a redbox thats also a plus. Thanks Raley's for being one stop errand shop. read more
