When you need to leave your furry little friend going on vacation, who can you call? Raleigh Pet Sitters! I always feel a bit guilty leaving my Bengal cat behind when I take off but what can you do? Thankfully, Raleigh Pet Sitters has become a reliable part of the team that makes my traveling life a bit easier with pet-sitting and general home upkeep. Before you sign up as a client they do an in-house visit to first get the details, smart idea. At $19/day for a visit which includes taking care of kitty-fido, grabbing mail and more, I've used them several times over the last year or so. They've been reliable and good with communications while I'm out. They also try to pair you up with the same pet-sitter for consistency which is a nice plus. And if you follow their Facebook page, they post regularly on their visits which is a good way to stay engaged. So overall no complaints about Raleigh Pet Sitters, they have done a very solid job for me and yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be using them again. If I could only get my cat out from under the bed while I'm gone, now that would be a pet-sitting miracle... read more

We had such a great experience working with Raleigh Pawz! Everyone we interacted with was professional and friendly. Our dog is very nervous around strangers, but our weekend away went so smooth for him thanks to Lindsey. She was clearly experienced working with dogs and was very patient with him as he slowly warmed up to her. She also gave us great updates each visit with lots of photos which was so sweet. Can't recommend enough if you're looking for a pet sitter! read more

Red flags went up when I did not receive a update and picture for the first two visits and I had to contact them to ask if visits were Done and "person in charge" said the dog walkers phone died and that she also needed to get home and walk her own dogs and she was overwhelmed with all of her visits and she openly admitted this to me. They also told me how my dog had got lose while in their care and it was because I didn't have leashes and once I explained where they were as I told them and showed them during our first meeting they then later stated I didn't have the right kind of leash so I had to explain again their were a number of different types of leashes exactly where I had shown them initially. When I finally did receive updates the messages were rude and I cannot believe that these people were in my home and caring for my pets while I was away. They have no problem treating their clients like they are replaceable. I had to ask after a few days how my bird was because I had no update on how he was doing or pictures. Their response was "most companies charge for pictures and updates" I was lucky to get the ones I got I guess. I used to work as a dog walker and send pictures/videos and updates for free on every visit, with every pet. read more

We thought we had care lined up for two dogs and cat for our vacation but then we found out two weeks before we left, that our friends could not keep them after all. I really didn't want to board the dogs because they've never been boarded. I just knew my Winston would hate it and the cost for two dogs was going to be significant. I'm so thankful that pet sitting came to mind. It cost us half of what it would cost to board them and I felt so much better knowing that my animals were safe and happy in their own beds. Both Cindy and the sitter, Jess, who'd be doing the visits, came by to meet us and the animals the weekend before we left. I instantly liked Jess and was very pleased to have daily reports from here about each visit. They were clearly very professional and showed they took their business seriously; yet they demonstrated the personal connection and touch you want for your pets. read more

I recommend looking elsewhere for a dog walker and/or sitter. Throughout the time I was using Raleigh Petsitters' service, there were multiple instances where there was a lack of communication and poor customer service. The owner will do anything that she can to pocket your money. I initially just had walks 3x a week and got a second dog, a new puppy, so I wanted to increase my service to 2x a day, 5x a week (10 visits). When I inquired about how much this would be this is what I was told "We give a weekly discount when booking 5 weekly walks with $16 per visit. Any less then 5 walks, we charge our normal rate of $20 per visit." Because there was a lack of communication more than 2 times after increasing my services, I decided to stop using Raleigh Petsitters and go with another dog-walking service. When I received my last bill I was charged $20/visit for 7 visits, when I was quoted $16/visit. After I explained how dissastisfied I was with the service and believed I deserved a refund for what was initially quoted to me, I was just told this was not the policy and I wasn't a reoccurring customer, so this no longer applied to me. Run away and go find someone who runs a business with integrity and isn't just chasing your money. read more

I moved to NC for a job and needed to travel for that job just a week after moving. I was stressed at the idea of finding a pet sitter I could trust in such a short amount of time. Taking to the internet I found Cindy's Pet Sitting Services. I called and Cindy arranged to meet me at my house with my areas pet sitter, Jill. First off, I love that they have all their forms are online so thorough. I was able to detail all the important things my pet sitter needed to know about my pets. I also like that all the details are spelled out in the contract. When Cindy and Jill came over they went over everything with me and made sure I didn't have any questions or concerns. The main thing I love about Cindy's Pet Sitting Service though is that I could tell that Cindy and my pet sitter Jill LOVE animals. Jill was on the floor with my big mutts before the visit ended, not scared by the jowls, drool, or hair encountered! My animals took to her immediately, even my more skittish dog Tina. When I'm gone my pet sitter has texted me when any issues come up. I love that she is so communicative and alert to my animals' behavior and patterns. With her level of oversight I finally feel comfortable leaving my pets at home and going on trips out of town! The notes that the pet sitter leaves are great too; very detailed and thorough. Overall I would recommend Cindy's Pet Sitting Service to anyone looking for a service that will take impeccable care of their pets. I have found my NC pet care provider! read more

This was our first time using this company to sit for our older dog and two cats. Excellent service! On time, reasonably priced, and all of our animals were able to stay home rather than at a kennel. Thanks, Raleigh Pet Sitters! read more

We were recently away for almost 2 weeks, and used Raleigh Pet Sitters for the first time. We came home to happy, calm cats and it was wonderful! Stephanie took such good care of them, that I suspected they were a bit disappointed when we showed up at the door instead of her! ...and this is no small thing: We have 2 cats. Miss Kitty is over 13 years old and needs a lot of human contact and attention. Mr. Toof, our 9 year old male, has a history of anxiety and has been on medication for this for a couple of years. He was a rescue cat who had apparently been through some traumas that still affect him when faced with new stresses (and we can't even always guess what it is that stresses him!). In the past, when we would go away for a few days or more, I hired friends to care for them. The friends were dependable and kind to the cats, but the cats would still be anxious and act out when we got home. Even more seriously, Mr. Toof developed "anxiety provoked Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disorder" twice during/after we had been away for a few days. Needless to say, this resulted in lots of worry and vet bills. It also made us anxious about leaving them again, especially for an extended period. I even considered boarding them at the Vet's, with the thought that they would watch for and be able to immediately care for any symptoms that might develop. The Vet suggested that care at home would really be better, if possible. On recommendation from neighbors, I thought I'd try Raleigh Pet Sitters, and we (humans and cats!) are so happy that I did! I will definitely give them a call any time we are away and have already recommended them to friends and neighbors. read more

I have a Rat Terrier named Barney, and for most of his life, I had a very reliable friend to watch him when I went out of town. When that friend moved away, I was relieved to see a Cindy's Pet Sitting service ad at my groomer's shop. I was a little nervous at first, but gave her service a try when I had to go on vacation. Barney had never been to a kennel ever, so I am sure he was glad to be able to stay at home. The service is very professional, and they take daily notes, and text you pics, just to let you know how your pet is doing, I love that. Barney gets tons of attention and exercise. I have never been happier with a service like this, I will be using Cindy's Pet Services from here on out, and would highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet that doesn't like to put in a cage at the kennel. read more

Lifesavers!! I had to go into the hospital unexpectedly and was freaking out about who could take care of my dogs and cat. Raleigh Pet Sitters answered the phone late afternoon and were able to go by my house shortly thereafter. They bought dog and cat food, changed the cat litter, and even put my dishes in the dishwasher. They checked in with me frequently and reassured me that everyone was doing well. When I came home (after one week), my pets were not traumatized and were like "oh hey Mom... What's up?" Thank you thank you thank you!! Your care was MUCH appreciated !! I would certainly recommend you!! read more

They are so wonderfully trustworthy and professional as you could want! I think my cats actually prefer the pet sitter to me they get so spoiled! read more

Moved to Raleigh 6 months ago and decided to go with Raleigh Pet Sitters because they were the most informative about their services (time window they will arrive, who is coming, how long they stay). It's hard to trust someone to come into your home and care for your pets but I've been very happy with this group so far (we usually have Amy)! They are consistent with communication and updates and always send several pictures through their app. My cats always seem super content when I get home from a trip instead of high anxiety. I've used their service for dog walks as well... same great communication and pictures. Recommend for sure! read more

I would not leave my dogs in the care of anyone else! I have used these gals for several years and just love them! Colleen leaves me notes on each visit, contacts me immediately if she has a question and takes awesome care of my fur babies!! If you need a reliable pet sitting service - one that goes above and beyond - give Raleigh Pet Sitters a call! read more

Cindy and her team at Raleigh Pet Sitters are amazing!! Cindy responds promptly to emails and has an easy payment system set up with Venmo. We needed a mid day dog walker in a pinch, and Cindy and her team came through the night before to walk our pup 5 times/week at a really decent rate. I was really impressed with her communication and loved our meet and greet before the first walk. She was accommodating with me on the time, and brought the 2 walkers to meet our puppy. They were all super friendly and professional and we really trust them with our puppy. I'd highly recommend them! read more

Cindy and Colleen from Raleigh Pet Sitters always do such a nice job with my kitties Rupert and Wellington. They spend quality time with them they'll post pics on Facebook so I can see their little faces if I miss them while I'm gone. They've always been available, even very last minute. They're such life savers these gals, sometimes we don't know we're going out of town until a day or two in advance. Very reliable, super sweet, and very quick to respond. Highly HIGHLY recommend! Thanks again ladies! read more

We are repeat customers and are very happy with the care and attention Cindy's sitters provide. She must be doing something right because we've experienced very little turn over with our sitters which makes everyone happy. We never worry about leaving our house and our dog Max under the care of Cindy's Sitters. This is always the best option when you can't find a family member to stay with your pet. It sure beats the kennel. read more

I have been a customer of Raleigh Pet Sitters for over 4 years and recommend them to every dog owner I know. My dogs love being at home and following their normal routine of walks and feedings, so I knew that in home care was going to suit them better than a kennel. Cindy is very responsive to scheduling requests and my sitter is wonderful with my dogs (who have a touch of stranger-danger and need some reassurance.) I highly recommend this business! read more

I love having Raleigh Pet Sitters to call on when I need to leave my fur baby for several hours. Knowing that he is in good hands with someone that is responsible, experienced, and loving (Thank you Patricia!) means not worrying about him while I'm away. read more

We use Raleigh Pet Sitters primarily for our cat when we go out of town. When we request scheduling these visits, they have answered within the hour! Very prompt. Colleen sends us pictures and updates on EVERY visit, which we love when we are away. I think the price is very reasonable for our kitty to get some attention and love while we're gone. She always refreshes the water, food and scoops the liter too. I feel that they are very reliable and I feel safe letting them into our home. Would recommend. read more

When we moved to Raleigh, one of our main concerns was who we would find to watch our dog when we go away on vacations. From asking around our building downtown, we found that Raleigh Pet sitters actually walks quite a few dogs in our building. Before our first time using the service, Cindy came to our place to meet us and our pitbull, which of course put my mind at ease for 2 reasons. 1- we wanted to know who is caring for our baby, and 2- who is going to be in our home. In the past year and a half , we have had Ariel, who unfortunately has moved on to greener pastures, but thankfully replaced by Jessie who is just awesome with Isys! We have gone away about a half of a dozen of times, with no worries or concerns while we are away. I especially love the notes that they leave us about how every walk went while we were away, and love the pictures that get sent to me of her playing outside. Thank you Raleigh Pet Sitters! read more

I do not think words can describe how pleased I am to have found RPS for my dog. I was hesitant to try a dog walker because I had never done it, and I am a touch neurotic when it comes to my dog; however, I am so glad I chose RPS as Cassie is truly a blessing to our dog and family. The photos and emails that she sends after each visit are truly the highlight of my work day! My dog seems so happy and relaxed on days when Cassie comes by. The ability to schedule through the online portal, the ease of communication, their availability, focus on safety and the value are all additional pros. I would highly recommend them. They truly care about your pets and their customer service is second to none. read more

I have been on Yelp for over two years and have never taken the time to write a review; however, I just had to share how thrilled I am with Raleigh Pet Sitters! My dogs are like my children and I just HATE the thought of them being in an unfamiliar place full of strangers when I am away. I searched Yelp for a pet sitter I could trust and decided on trying Raleigh Pet Sitters. We have now used them three times and I could not be more happy! Anita is wonderful and really cares about my pets like they are her own. She sends pictures and messages each visit and even gets excited when our pups are extra cuddly or happy :). Our newest addition is a 2 year old rescue pup who is quite afraid of new people but both pups just love Anita! I also have to rave about this company's flexibility. I have had to switch around times at the last minute and they are always accommodating, no questions asked. They will even bring in your mail or water your plants while you are away. RPS is one of a kind and I highly recommend them for pets of all shapes and sizes! read more

Cindy and crew have always come through for us. We've got 2 boxers and 2 cats and often head out of town for a few nights and can't bring the pets. Never had a problem with them and our alarm system, which can be a little finicky! We'll often get a picture or 2 sent to show us how much fun the pets are having and communication is always great. I highly recommend Raleigh Pet Sitters. read more
