The front office staff and nursing staff are very friendly and efficient. I made an appointment with Dr Brimmage to continue trying to diagnose issues I was seeing my previous OB for. He was extremely friendly and took the time to ask and answer any and all questions that would help get us on the right path for diagnosis and treatment options. He thoroughly explained every option available and sent me home with a print out of his notes and suggestions, so that my husband and I could review everything before making any decisions. I sent him a message with our decision on next steps and he responded promptly and arranged my appointment/test at the fertility clinic of our choice. As someone with a history of gynecological problems, I truly feel lucky to have found Dr Brimmage on my first try in a new city! This made no sense to me given the fact that they have so many doctors in their practice, but this is how I was treated. After my child was born, the perinatal and postnatal care I received was so poor and negligent that I actually almost died. I had unfortunately developed a bacterial infection from my delivery but Raleigh Obgyn was no longer interested in me. They had already gotten their money. They ignored my complaints about how badly I was feeling and told me to get Covid tests (3x). They also said I was probably just having a harder postnatal course because of my age (as I was in my 40s). Ultimately, my infection traveled to my heart and caused endocarditis. I have since had 3 heart surgeries, 5 arteries removed due to aneurysms, 3 arteries replaced and multiple strokes due to an aneurism in my head. and if anyone wants to know why a lawsuit didn't occur. . It is because Governor Cooper put in place an umbrella clause in NC state law that from 2020-2023 (during the pandemic) doctors could not be sued for malpractice ...although I had lawyers who still wanted to try to fight for me and my case because they saw how much I had gone through and that there should have been an expectation of care received ... but I was given no care ... and all I actually needed was a doctor to assess me and give me a simple antibiotic. Do not trust them with your life or your baby's life.

Unfortunately, my experience changed completely after that. After my first call, I began communicating with Rachel. I had inquired specifically about a breast augmentation with implants and a lift. After the doctor reviewed my photos, Rachel called and explained that he was instead recommending a different procedure that would cost roughly $10,000 more than what I had originally asked about. I was very clear that I understood the recommendation but still wanted a quote for the procedure I had actually inquired about. Despite repeatedly explaining what I wanted, I could not get a straightforward quote for it. Instead, the conversation continued to revolve around the more expensive procedure they were recommending. The entire process ended up wasting about a month that I could have spent consulting with other surgeons. Being highly rated was one of the reasons I initially felt so confident reaching out, but my experience left me feeling like what I actually wanted was not being taken into consideration. What bothered me most was that liposuction was also brought up even though I had never inquired about it. When someone is already discussing cosmetic surgery and putting themselves in a vulnerable position by sending photos of their body, suggesting additional procedures they never expressed concern about can feel incredibly unnecessary and insecurity-inducing. I completely understand a surgeon making professional recommendations, and I would expect them to tell me if they believe another approach would produce a better result. But there is a difference between making a recommendation and refusing to meaningfully discuss or quote the procedure a patient is actually asking for. Unfortunately, I walked away from this experience feeling unheard, pressured toward a significantly more expensive procedure, and more insecure than I did when I started.

Dr. Blanton's office staff makes you feel so at ease. Keely on the phone is so warm and friendly. You feel as if you have known her for a while. When Dr. Matthew Blanton's walked in I felt almost immediately that he is the right doctor to handle my situation. We discussed options for removing the existing implants totally and doing nothing cosmetically and how that would look as i age into my 70s. Dr. Blanton's went through videos of other patients with similar situations and other options which included a breast lift after the removal of the implants. He also offered replacing the implants with new ones and was transparent in the fact that, in the future, there is a high probability that one or both would deflate again and need attention. He spent almost a full hour listening to me, hearing the anxiety in my voice over anesthesia at my age, and truly weighing the best options for my body, age, and current physical health status. Then Summer joined Dr. Blanton's for my physical exam to confirm our pathway forward. I felt so comfortable with my new team that I inquired about extra skin removal in my abdomen area. Whichever way I go with Dr. Blanton's and his team of professionals, just the implant removal with breast lift or add in the abdominal skin/fat fix, I am confident that I have chosen the best doctor to attend to my needs with a team of dedicated health care workers who will see me through successfully from pre-op to post-op and through my rehabilitation. I have now had my breast implant removal surgery and breast lift as of 9/25. I made the BEST choice for sure. My surgery team was nothing short of spectacular. From my anesthesiologist to my care team, every single one of them was experienced and kind. Dr. Blanton has a great and caring bedside manner and his skill as a surgeon is surpassed by none. The whole office staff is just as friendly and very accommodating as he is. He has a very friendly personality and takes him time making sure you know everything. He shows you plenty of pictures, different aspects of the procedure, and answers all questions you have. His nurse Lisa that helped through the whole process is great too. The day of surgery he took his time before going through what was needed and made sure I had no last minute questions and called the night of surgery to make sure I was okay. PRP is not covered and surgical center fees and anesthesia fees are really high. Nothing is presented as optional or modifiable. This did not feel like medical care, felt more transactional. I decided to go for another opinion, experience was completely different. We did not choose Chapel Hill oral surgery for his surgery, I cannot comment on surgical experience.

I received great customer service from the moment I called to make my first appointment through when I arrived for my first visit. I was called in the back within the timeframe of my appointment. It was refreshing that there was not a long wait. The person at the front desk as well as the nurse that tended to me treated me like a valued patient. I just love Dr. Tucker! She took the time to have a discussion with me first and understand my medical history before examining me. I followed up with her several weeks later at Mid-Carolina. The clinic is located right next to UNC REX Hospital beside (or a part of?) the Women's Center. The women's center has their own parking garage. It was easy to find parking and walk to the clinic following the posted signage. The front desk attendant was friendly and communicated clearly. She walked me through the appointment process and then I went to the lab. Right away the lab tech greeted me, completed the tests, and then I waited on a room assignment. It took a reasonable amount of time to be roomed and seen by Dr. Hardin. Dr. Hardin as expected was kind, reassuring, and patient. I did not feel rushed and left satisfied that I was well supported and all my questions were answered. Looking forward to continuing my OBGYN care here with Dr. Hardin.
