We decided to give Delhi6 a try for our anniversary after hearing so many good things, and I'm glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the experience started off right. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was upscale without feeling overly formal, and we were immediately greeted by the host outside. They looked up our reservation and got us seated quickly. We started with the tandoori wings at a 3/4 spice level and the samosas. Both were very flavorful. The wings had a nice char and plenty of seasoning without just being "hot for the sake of being hot." Next time I'm definitely going 4/4 because I like some serious spice. The samosas were crispy, well seasoned, and went perfectly with the chutneys. For drinks, my wife had the lychee martini and I had a Don Julio margarita. Both were really good and fit the anniversary dinner vibe perfectly. One of the biggest highlights of the night was speaking with Joshua, one of the managers. I asked him whether they could make something similar to a traditional mixed grill since it is no longer on the menu. I'm used to mixed grills with different combinations of chicken, lamb, shrimp, boti, fish tikka, etc. Instead of simply telling me it wasn't available, Joshua went out of his way to see what they could put together for us. That type of service makes a difference. He also recommended that we try their butter sauce and explained that it was made by a chef who received specialized training in India's capital. I'm glad we listened because the sauce was rich, smooth, flavorful, and easily one of the standouts of the meal. You could tell there was more depth to it than the overly sweet butter sauces you sometimes get at other places. Between the food, drinks, presentation, atmosphere, and especially the service, Delhi6 delivered the kind of experience we had been looking for. Joshua and the staff made our anniversary dinner feel special rather than just another dinner reservation. After searching all over DFW for an Indian restaurant we could consistently come back to, Delhi6 may have finally ended our search.

The owner and employee are friendly and helpful asking if I wanted vegetarian or not and suggesting recommendations. I ended up getting the side of raita and chicken korma with naan. I really enjoyed the raita and chicken korma and the naan was nice and hot. Love that you can get great indian food in a mall that's not as lively as it once was. I've read a little about the history of the mall and im so sad for this place you can tell it has so many shops and places before. My hope is that this place gets new stores n shops and reinvested and Word of mouth brings people back.

I arrived at 1:00 PM, excited for a good meal -- only to find the doors locked. I tried calling them, but there was no answer. There was no sign on the door, no voicemail update, nothing to indicate why they were closed. Disappointed and confused, I ended up dining at Urbano Enchilado nearby. That said, I'm not here to leave a one-star review. I understand that life happens -- this could very well be a small, family-run business. Maybe there was a family emergency. Maybe they're going through something difficult -- even as simple as a utility issue. We've all been there. But a small note on the door, or an updated message on their phone line, would have gone a long way in showing customers that they care. It's not the closure that upset me -- it's the silence. Whatever the reason may have been, I genuinely wish them well. I hope everything is okay on their end, and I sincerely hope to return another time when the doors are open and welcoming -- just as I imagine they usually.

Hopefully they will keep it the same way and we can dine here regularly, at least twice a week.
