Well, with only about 50% of the trees they send actually surviving a season or even a year, and the fact that they won't replace stuff you buy with the store credit...and won't allow any refunds, its a pretty shady place.

I was supposed to have received a tree with branches instead I received a stick. Buyer beware of this company. Now, what am I supposed to do?

    Girdled trunk

I ordered a Peggy Clarck flowering apricot in August of 2024. Recieved the tree March 6th,2025. Tree never fully opened. I have years of experience with bare root trees. Contacted customer service and they wont honor purchase. Not even a store credit. Spent 80.00 dollars for this one tree and it never opened fully. I will never order from this company again.

    Shiro 4-5' Raintree

I feel I had to post a counter review for all the -ve ones. I want to help gardeners AND the great suppliers - without either there would be no business' s left. I ordered 4 trees from Raintree on March 5/25. Rec'vd 03/31/25 under special request. ALL leafed out within a week. Today 05/07/2025 5 weeks in they are thriving! I am super happy as of now (weather and pests can ruin everything). Bareroots are tough to transplant and many die due to inexperience-novice practices. It is BEST to pay more for a 4-5' one as those 1' ones die half of the time or one has to wait 2 months or so to see the budding process. Ppl are IMPATIENT. Soil, timing and patience are key. Don't overfertilize. Plant slightly above grade if soil is CLAY as in the SE USA. Use a mixture of bed soil, coco coir to hold moisture intially + cow manure mixed with local soil to create a well drain mix. Don't overwater every3 to 4 days if needed. Use bamboo skewers to measure root moisture (stick 3 in the ground around tree). Plant in sunny locale and protect from squirrels.

Persin Plum tree I plant 7 months already is still dry and dead!!

My Pixi-cot tree died after one year. All other trees around it are flourishing. No replacement offered. Will not use this nursery again.

My order arrived April 3rd, all the berry plants were beautiful and were beautifully packed for shipping.

Ok, Let me Start by saying I would have never gone here by myself. The girls decided that this is…read morewhere my buddy and I would be having lunch and that, as they say, was that. When you walk in you may be shocked at the lack of organization. There Is usually just one old hippie, (The owner) working, and he like's to chat! That said, It does take a bit to get a group thru the line. No matter tho, the line is where the fun is. Because of how the menu is setup I'll have to break it down into categories It start's with your "fruitbowl" behind the subway like counter they have a variety of fruits: pineapple, Cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon oranges, grapefruit, blackberries, strawberries, kiwi's, cherries, mangoes, green/red grapes, carrots, celery. You pick what YOU want, CUSTOM STYLE! I should state, This is the juiciest, freshest, most Delicious, fruit i have ever had, Anywhere. I have literally picked a fresh melon and it wasn't as good. I don't know what It is,but leave it to a old hippie to have amazing fruit! I highly recommend the oranges, I usually get those with grapefruit strawberries and cantaloupe. maybe a Kiwi or if they have a special fruit that day. He throws in some Cheese/meat/ crackers free! The Side Depending on which meal you get, or if you want to add a little sumthin sumthin", sides are the way to go for fat kids like me! you can pick from things like: fruit pie (made every morning) trail mix (he again custom makes it with what YOU want) chocolate bananas, frozen fruit/juice cups, and fresh made mango/ strawberry lemonade, and the best Scones you will ever put in your mouth!(covered in strawberries OR pineapple upon request!) The Freebies As if all that wasn't enough, you can have some cottage cheese, yogurt, or a banana FREE! CRAZY Right?!?!?! The four of us have turned this into a Sunday ritual and possibly, for me, 2 or 3 other times this week :-) Need one last reason to go? bring your own container, you get like a doller off! I'm telling you try it once, If nothing else then to keep this healthy alternative around!

Great place to stop when the weather is nice. The smoothies are just fruit and some yogurt (no…read morejuice added) The selection of fruit is like no other! I love being able to make my own fruit platter for BBQ;s too. Seems like there is always the same boring fruit trays. The other day I had one made with Blackberries, Blueberries, Kiwi, Strawberries, Apricots, Mangoes & Pineapple. It was a huge hit!

This year, we finally found Bennie's! She allowed us to make custom pre-orders in January when she was still selecting flowers. She showed us her Proven Winners catalog and had great suggestions for what would grow well together. Today we picked up our baskets and they look fabulous. I can't wait to see what they look like in August! The only disappointment was that with 11 hanging baskets in the Suburban, I only had room to take home 1 more plant. So back to Bennie's we'll go to bring home some beautiful geraniums, lavender, clematis, roses, or dozens of other annuals and perennials. Everything looked extremely healthy and vigorous. Customers are spoiled for choice, and prices are extremely reasonable. Well worth the 3 hour round trip!

Then 2 years went by and we wanted more flowering cherry trees and for some reason we bought them elsewhere. Out of the 4 we bought elsewhere only 1 survived. We recently bought 3 more from Bennie's.
