It's a great place to try some new plants with little risk. Especially if you just want some filler plants because slugs ate all the heirloom veg you grew from seed ahem. I've gotten three or four starts in three-inch pots for just two dollars before, and as the season goes on, they'll have sales and clearances on more expensive stuff, still never expensive though. Big selection, but tends to be hybrid and conventional items, which meets a lot of my needs. The parking lot is tiny so it can get crowded. I went there on the last day of the season, not knowing it was the last day, and after checking out, they told me they were letting shoppers take any plant for free on their way out! Such a cute little gesture. The lines can get long as they only have two registers max at once and some people make huge purchases that have to all be manually scanned. Not a problem, but just to be aware. Wish their season was longer as I plant for my fall harvests, but looking forward to visiting next year!

Flamingo willow or dappled willow). I searched for this kind of tree for a couple years, it is difficult to find so I was pleased to see they had a couple. I also bought a beautiful healthy Dick Clark rose. I found their prices to be competitive and fair.

I'm told that they will be having a Grand opening soon and will offer workshops and classes. They have a good selection, especially of "bare root" trees ( which they potted in big peat pots that can go right on the ground). When I looked at the fruit trees and figured the cost of pots, trees, and soil, it's a really good buy.

This year, we finally found Bennie's! She allowed us to make custom pre-orders in January when she was still selecting flowers. She showed us her Proven Winners catalog and had great suggestions for what would grow well together. Today we picked up our baskets and they look fabulous. I can't wait to see what they look like in August! The only disappointment was that with 11 hanging baskets in the Suburban, I only had room to take home 1 more plant. So back to Bennie's we'll go to bring home some beautiful geraniums, lavender, clematis, roses, or dozens of other annuals and perennials. Everything looked extremely healthy and vigorous. Customers are spoiled for choice, and prices are extremely reasonable. Well worth the 3 hour round trip!

Today we found aphids on mom's hollyhocks so we headed over to get lady bugs. The cashier was so helpful, telling us when to apply them and I liked how instead of telling us where to go to find items, she just went to get them for us since it wasn't busy. Now that's service.

What a great nursery and garden center this place is! It's connected right to and has the same…read moreaddress as the Yelm Co-Op so don't let that confuse you. In fact if you are shopping for plants and desire some fresh groceries the Co-Op is right there which gets you a little closer to a one stop shop. When we were here they had beautiful flower hanging baskets that we admired greatly! We would have even bought one had we known this garden center was even here but we were planning half a day in the car and that would have done the plants no good but we will plan accordingly next time. The nursery also had lovely pottery for all of the do it yourself planting at your home which we admired also. Such a beautiful facility with all of the plants for sale and one we will certainly keep in mind for our future gardening needs and with a good layout of our plans we are bound to bring home some lovely plants from here to Tacoma for our yard!
