(A dog had apparently gotten into the wiring and chewed it up). I called around to a few different businesses, but their availability was pushed pretty far out. Then I called Emerald Valley Backflow and spoke with Aaron. He seemed nice on the phone, and was able to schedule me for the same week. I called on a Tuesday and he scheduled me for Thursday morning at 10am. WELL- at 9:22am on Thursday he texted me and said he couldn't make it and needed to reschedule for Monday. We rescheduled for Monday at 4pm. At 2:43pm on Monday, he texted AGAIN saying he couldn't make it due to a "de" appointment. (Maybe he meant dentist?) I told him that I really needed this job done, and asked if he could come by any time that evening after his appointment (since it's practically summer and stays light out pretty late). He declined, and stated his availability for the coming week (which, did not work with my schedule at all). Making an appointment with a client TWICE and ditching out LAST minute BOTH TIMES is so unprofessional! If you need a job done, DO NOT call Emerald Valley Backflow.

We have worked with many contractors on numerous projects at our home over the years. My wife and I by far had our best experience with Ed and his crew. Our project was not a small one. We did a complete front yard renovation, including grass, flower beds, edging, paths, lighting, and irrigation. In our back yard we redid the irrigation, edging, lighting, and added a water feature. The communication from start to finish was outstanding. The ability of Ed to understand what we wanted was incredible. Nick and Jase totally made everything pop. They took the image we had in our minds and made it real. We have walked around the yard on many occasions just enjoying the beauty, setting in the back yard after dusk enjoying the tranquility of the lights and southing sounds of the fountain.

I highly recommend them to anyone. Our sizeable concrete patio had large cracks from settlement, so we wanted to replace it with paver stones. This was a sizeable project. First off, before we even decided to do the work, Eric met with us several times to answer questions and help us make decisions regarding the details of the project. Each time he was very thoughtful, gave us plenty of ideas and was always willing to recalculate the bid based on our adjustments. These positive interactions and the more than fair cost estimate convinced us to hire Eric for the project. From then on, everything went smooth. Eric and his team showed up at the exact date the project was scheduled, they were easy to communicate with and kept us informed of their progress. This was a 9-day project and never once did they start late or leave early to attend to other business. They even accommodated our last-minute requests that came up as the project moved along, even if that meant working longer hours to get the job done on time. We were so impressed with their professionalism and high level of customer service. Of course, the paver patio came out excellent and we are so thankful to Eric and his team. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I know we will definitely use them in the future for anything yard-related.
