This place is just fine. It is cute inside. I ordered the pink coconut smoothie. I received a brown smoothie that looked nothing like the menu photo. My real concern with this restaurant is the fact that my smoothie (which I saw made fresh) was room temp. It was borderline warm, with no ice or typical cool and refreshing "smoothieness" - drinking thick warm juice is pretty gross. For a $13 smoothie, I expect better than this subpar experience. read more

My first impression of Raining Berries is that it's the kind of place where you only have a good experience when management is around. I came by on Sunday to check this location off my Burg Battles list, and was surprised both by how cute the place was and by the loud Latin dance music that was playing on the speakers. I personally enjoy the genre, but it certainly didn't fit the "cutesy flower shop" vibe the decor gave, especially on a Sunday afternoon. After browsing the menu, I asked the person at the register how the Banana Cream Matcha was, and he said he hadn't tried it so he didn't know. I decided to try it anyways, and what I received was a pale green drink with no hint of banana flavor (or matcha flavor, really), no banana cream on top, and no crushed Nilla wafers as advertised on the menu. I asked him, "Are you sure this is the Banana Cream? This looks like the regular matcha and doesn't have the Nilla wafers," and he sheepishly responded, "Oh, I forgot. Do you want them now?" I said no and decided to sit and at least give the drink a try - it tasted as lame as it looked. I decided to go back and ask if he could add more banana flavor, but he was gone. The barista with the pink hair asked me if the drink was okay, and I told her honestly that I didn't taste banana or matcha. She told me the original guy didn't follow the recipe and when she tried telling him it was wrong he told her, "No it's fine, it'll be good." She was very polite and remade my drink - it still didn't have the Nilla wafers, but I had given up at that point. Even with the drink correct, the banana flavor that I had fought so hard for was very artificial-tasting and the matcha was pale and barely perceptible over the milk, so I ended up tossing the whole thing after a few sips. I'm relieved to have had the Burg Battles pass and to have only spent a dollar and change on my drink after the discount, because the service (besides the girl with the pink hair!) and quality of the drink were abysmal. read more

Ran into Raining Berries for a quick snack and to kill some time before an event. We got both flavors of the protein balls, chocolate and vanilla. I liked the chocolate better than vanilla, but they were both pretty good. They're an oat/peanut butter/protein powder snack and they're super dense, so great for a burst of energy midday! I'll have to come back and try a smoothie or something next time! It was really hot inside, I'm not sure if the AC was working properly that day. read more

The music was explicit and uncensored, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable, especially for a coffee shop were families were coming and going. On top of that, I ordered a latte that ended up being totally bland it tasted like warm milk, not much flavor at all. I only popped in to get a coffee (decaf) at 5:30pm on a Friday evening. There was 0 customers. I saw the other negative reviews, but I had a good experience! I got the pistachio honey decaf latte and it was delicious and the service was fast. I'll definitely have to give it another try someday and pop by for a few hours to do some work on my laptop. Severely understaffed for a Saturday. 1 girl working alone, we waited 35 mins for 2 açaí bowls, and after 35 mins the staff member told us açaí was too frozen and asked if we wanted something else. Hate to be that person but I honestly don't know how this place is still in business. Put an online order in and came in 10 minutes after the ETA for the pickup and the kids behind the counter were still working on it at a snails pace. It's like they're incentivized to go as slow as possible. The place was super empty and as others have complained about the music, this time it was dead silent. Girl working also couldn't be bothered to bring my drink to me and made me walk all the way across the room to get it despite how empty it was $12 smoothie plus a $3 tip only to see they're putting in monin syrup instead of fruit. 'Raining Berries' is for the girls!!! I've never been in such a girly/pink/flowery cafe. Place was full with females. The person I was with was literally the only man. Such a safe and cozy place to catch up or relax on your own. It even has a conference room you can sit in (has a big table for group meets). The egg bites were exactly what I wanted. Side of avocado was fresh. I got an iced matcha which was exactly the taste I like. I also had a sip of the nitro coffee and it was delicious, without any sweetener at all. I'm addicted to this place because it's like dessert but technically healthy. I always get the Sweet Dreams with granola instead of coconut (pictured) and a latte of some kind or a spirulina bowl with nutella, chia seeds, granola, strawberries, bananas, granola and a chocolate drizzle to top it off. It's *chef's I love how much seating they have and the private room is a cool if you need to have a meeting. Music can be loudish if you're planning to work here but it's a great place to do that. I feel like the bowls are kinda expensive. However, this is the only place I've ever gotten these bowls from so do with that what you will. read more

What a cool little place. The decor is very warm and inviting. The menu is quite extensive. You have Acai bowls, coffee, tea and sandwiches. Basically everything you need. I grabbed a cold artisan tea, called Briar that has hibiscus, lemongrass and a couple of other things I don't recall, and it was delicious! It came in a mason jar for you to keep. I'll be honest id been wanting to come here for-ever but what I did not expect was disappointing coffee. I ordered the honey lavender latte with oatmilk and I've had my share of those all over the country but this was the first time I felt like I was drinking black folgers coffee with a tiny splash of milk in it. Couldn't taste the oatmilk, honey or lavender and it was supposed to be a latte. The server who served me was sweet as can be though but I couldn't drink it. My friend and I looked for a "healthy snack" after a yoga class. We found this establishment on Yelp and decided to give it a go. What a great place!! Right away is very bright with lots of instagramable walls and accessories, such as a giant flower wall and a pink British phone booth. Several seating options, raging from high tops, small sofas and comfy chairs. They have huge variety of smoothies, bowls, and other foods. We both ordered their green smoothies and my friend ordered a sandwich too. Yum!! We signed up for their loyalty, which took about a minute and earned points for our visit. I come in here a lot because of the proximity to home but even if it wasn't so close I'd still really like this place. It's a really nice spot. It's got really great vibe to it. It's really great for photos. Really great light, bright lighting in it and fun decor both on the walls and furniture wise. You earn points for free food/beverages. bonus tip: if you live in the neighborhood you get 10% off, but you do need to tell them each time. They won't automatically do it. I'm more of a tea person than a coffee person so I get their artisan tea. I go for the orchard peach which I absolutely love, I don't love the love the price though at almost $8 a pop for a 20 ounce glass. I do love the glass it comes in and understand that's part of the cost. I wish they'd do something different which I know they're considering, but it does become wasteful because I have handfuls of these glasses that eventually I end up throwing away because I don't need that many mason jars in my life, but man, the tea is tasty. I saw Raining Berries on Instagram and instantly wanted to go but the location was a bit far so I was super excited to see that they opened a 2nd location in St. Pete. I was pretty excited to see that most likely due to the weather (rainy and overcast) that the place was not packed but more importantly the Insta-wall for pictures. Yeah, I know I am a dork. LOL. I just had breakfast so wasn't hungry but they do have bowls and food along with baked goods to go with their coffee, smoothies, acai, etc. I decided on getting the tiramisu frapp and it is delicious! It came out with a nice amount of whipped cream on top of it too and who can be mad at that? While ordering I was asked if I wanted to change anything like the milk options but I was fine with the way it comes normally but they do have options for you to change it up. I've been here three times and the customer service is mid at best. The first time the lady was nice and advised me of a local discount they have for St Pete residents and I was like wow how nice. The second and last time, they were not friendly and I walked out of there feeling so weird and uncomfortable. My berry smoothie was the consistency of water. I'm an acai addict and this was the first time I couldn't finish an acai bowl. I made my own bowl. Acai base , topped with strawberries, banana, blueberries and granola. I added an extra scoop of spirulina base, plant based vanilla protein & peanut butter. I never thought I would ever in a million years write this about an acai bowl but it was too sweet. It tasted like there was a LOT of added sugar that you couldn't taste the acai. The bowl is so tiny, there isn't much acai base AND I ordered 2 bases! 2 bases and they still use the same tiny bowl? Two big issues: the protein powder was not blended with the acai so I basically scooped up powder. Also the peanut butter was just scooped and dropped in the bowl rather than drizzled evenly on top. The acai base was thick and not watery. I also love they are dog friendly so you can eat inside. They have a lovely sitting area. read more

The Acai bowls were actually some of the worst I've had which was so disappointing. I really wish I could give a better review. I come here because the smoothies are delicious and really good quality. Unfortunately, I am put off by the extremely loud trap music they have blasting overhead. It completely clashes with the cutesy girly pop aesthetic and makes it so that waiting on the smoothie to be made is unbearable. I find myself wanting to leave as soon as possible.
