Ive been through hell with my car accidents & my then attorney told me about Rainier Valley Chiropractic since my first chiropractor wanted to discharge me & I wasnt feeling better. Gratefully this place embraced me before too long i was in another accident and ended up losing my career & on disability before 40. I remember the girls having to help me fill out my paperwork. Kate (massage therapist) being like a friend & rooting me on. Dr Butters even helped me find a new attorney because my old one didn't understand my diagnosis. Not to mention i found myself crying and yelling at my then attorney stating i wasnt faking. Long story short, no doctor ive seen or even disability doctors thought i was faking. These people that work here actually cares about their patients. Ive been on crutches, can barely see, lost my job, had 3 surgeries, depressed & they were a support system. Helping me with faxes, paperwork, lawyer, referrals to doctors and most importantly their encouragement. I thank God for the Butters & my puppies love them too. read more

I've been going here for about 2 months and it's been great. Easy to make appointments and very reasonable prices. They even ended up comping my initial exams because my insurance wouldn't have covered it. I ended up changing my chiro to a different one in the same office and her adjustments have been great. I would say it's a pretty traditional chiro office. There's almost always street parking in front of the office, so it's easy to get in and out. read more

I cannot recommend Rainier Valley Chiropractic and Dr. Reald Markokaj highly enough. He has not only helped me with neck and low back pain but he has also given me relief from hand, wrist and arm arthritis pain. I have very significant arthritis especially in my right wrist and I've tried interventions such as NSAIDS and lidocaine patches with little relief. Dr. Markokaj is able to manipulate the arm, wrist and hand in ways that reduce the swelling and offer very rapid relief. I couldn't be happier with this clinic's service. Dave Holt ARNP read more

I was looking for a chiropractor place close to home and thank goodness my friend recommended this place to me. The place is very clean and nice. I had a very pleasant first visit with Dr. Mitch. The front desk staff were very pleasant. Thank you Dr. Mitch for taking the time to explain my X-rays and walking me through everything that you did with me. It reassured me that I picked the right place to seek care. Looking forward to many more visits. read more

I called this office hoping to get help with my neck issues but never made it past the poor customer support. After making scheduling the representative told me they can't guarantee what I will be charged and to confirm with my insurance company. But of course if I call insurance they tell me it depends on what they are billed for. So I called back to ask for procedure codes which Rainier Valley gave me. I then called back my insurance and they decided to get the procedure codes directly from them. Once they had they gave me written guarantee of charges based on those codes. A couple weeks later when Rainier Valley texted to confirm my appointment in a couple days. They reiterated they can't guarantee charges. To which I said that is fine as long as the procedure codes they provided are accurate. After I said this they CANCELLED my appointment with no further discussion leaving me in pain and now having to start the process all over. To be honest I can't decide if there are sketchy billing practices or if the support staff is really just that bad. If they don't want to work with insurance then just don't take it. But don't make patients run around on wild goose chases and then cancel on them anyway. read more

Very professional and friendly doctors and staff! Highly recommended. Dr. David Butters doing this job more than 40 years and he knows what to do when you are in pain. This place is very special. They care about people not about money. read more

I don't know what took me so long to write this review. I've been going to see Dr. Butter for over 16 years now. I have always been happy with the service that he has provided and the staff! Dr. Butters was able to fix my neck and now I just go to maintain good health. Recently I was going quite often due to my pregnancy. Having adjustments really helped keep away that dreaded low back pain you can get while pregnant. After my son was born we took him the second day of his life to see Dr. Butter and team. I'm very excited to be able to start him off right and to have such a great team to work on him. read more

I was injured at work and DR Butters (both David & Natasha) have been nothing short of amazing during this long, painful process!! The staff is very friendly, and if I am in need of an emergency adjustment (which has been happening often lately) they can usually get me in the same day! I have been going there about a month, and slowly but surely getting better! They keep me so informed with everything that is going on, I'm kept in the loop on the game plan to getting me better. So glad my friend referred me here it has been a wonderful experience read more

Buckle in, this is going to be a long one. I read about each doctor on their website and decided Natasha Butters (daughter of david butters) would be the best fit for me. I am a little wary of older doctors, as in my experience they are less likely to keep up with new innovations and trainings. That type of mindset can be found in any field and it is just a personal preference for me to see a younger professional. Anyway onto the my experience....when I stepped into the office it was like I was transported back to a 1990's doctors office - in all the bad ways possible. Dull, yellowish lighting and extremely outdated posters about health adorned the walls. Old looking file cabinets were directly behind the receptionists, and for some strange reason the receptionists were sitting behind a desk that was so high it was hard to see them when you walk in. I chatted with Judy, (wife of David Butters) and she was SO sweet. She knew what she was doing and navigated me through the paperwork with ease. Shout out to Judy for being awesome! When I came back in after signing my paperwork, the receptionists were less than friendly. After a long wait I was finally admitted to a room to do my evaluation. Someone named Whitney came in and started doing some recording of my injuries. She was super nice and helpful however I had no clue who she was...are you a medical assistant? A chiropractor? receptionist? I had no clue and no one ever gave a formal introduction including herself (she just referred to herself as whitney). Lack of communication seemed to be common in the clinic because when I finally saw Natasha Butters, she told me to get onto the table so she could start adjusting. I had taken xrays with whitney and she did not discuss the findings with me. I asked her for more info about what adjustments she was doing and she gave me the most general generic description about what happens to your body after a car accident. This is not my first rodeo unfortunately, so I wanted specifics about what was going on with me from this accident and from their eval. She was less than forthcoming, and It felt like I was trying to pry a cookie away from my 2 year old son, so I shut up and let her do whatever she was wanted. Afterwards I didn't feel great, I felt a tiny bit better but I have had adjustments after an accident before... and was expecting way more relief. I told her I felt a bit better and left planning on finding a new chiropractor ASAP. When I did find another chiropractor there was a ton of miscommunication between my new clinic and this one. My new clinic said they reached out multiple times to the Butters and there was no response. Finally I had to call over and get the info. I was busy with work that day and was hoping to stop in and pick up my stuff later in the day. I told the receptionist I would call back in around say 2pm. She then called me back around that time and sounded extremely annoyed saying I didn't call them at the time I said I would. I'm sorry what...? You guys dropped the ball multiple times with faxing/emailing over my stuff and now I have to be inconvenienced to come down and you want to give me attitude? Overall it was a terrible experience to have right after an accident that left me in a lot of pain. I was inconvenienced in trying to get my medical records from them and had less than pleasant customer service with everyone there other than Judy and Whitney. Everyone's expectations for treatment are different, so feel free to try them - worst you can do is leave if you don't enjoy/like your treatment. For me - I like consistent great customer service, clear communication, and a modern aesthetically pleasing environment. This place was 0/3 for me on all of my expectations. read more

I was really nervous to try a new chiropractor, but we moved about a year ago and my previous chiropractor is always completely booked. This week I was having some major issues in my neck and needed to see someone right away, so I took a chance and went to Rainier Valley Chiropractic. I saw Dr. Mitch Gottschalk and was so pleased with my experience there. I got in within an hour of calling, didn't have to wait long in the waiting room, and Dr. Gottschalk was extremely professional. He showed me the x-rays and talked me through it, answering all my questions thoroughly. He was super friendly and made me feel at ease. I felt like he really took the time to understand me and what was going on with my injury. Once the inflammation died down, my neck felt so much better. I'm excited that I've found a great chiropractor I can trust. read more

I have been going to Rainier Valley Chiropractic and can highly recommend them far above any other chiropractic experience I have ever had! When I arrived for my first appointment I could hardly walk and was in extreme pain at level 9 out of 10, having had 3 lower back surgeries (L-4/L-5) a number of years ago. Following regular treatments I received at Rainier Valley Chiropractic, the positive change in quality of life I now experience, I directly attribute to the expert care I received from Dr Butters and Dr Natasha. I am now able to attend classes in Zumba, Pilates and work out lifting weights at the gym and am basically pain free. I still can't believe the difference these 2 special doctors made in my life. I continue to have regular adjustments, or "tune-ups" and I always feel so great afterwards! My first appointment did take some time to completely and thoroughly evaluate my medical history, Range of Motion assessment, X-rays and treatment plan; so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time. This is very important. I had been to chiropractors in the past and following only a brief chat without detailed medical history taken or X-rays, was quickly adjusted and this concerned me. Therefore, I was extremely relieved and grateful to Dr Butters and Dr Natasha's conscientiousness and diligence by not rushing in for an immediate adjustment until my detailed evaluation was completed. They also recommended I have clinical massage sessions in my treatment plan. These are amazing and helped tremendously by working out trigger points, spasms and helped break up adhesions (of which I had many) within the muscles. When I first started with therapeutic massage, my whole body was just one big knotted spasm let me tell you! Gleb worked so patiently with her skilled care which complimented my regular adjustment sessions. Actually, all the staff at Rainier Valley Chiropractic are so kind, friendly and helpful too. You will not be disappointed! read more

Dr. Butters and his daughters are the best around. I drive 40 minutes each way for care for my kids and myself. I have been to other Chiropractors in the area out of desperation but they are the best by far. Recently I was having the horrible back pain for a week and sought emergency care at another clinic with no change. I saw Dr. Butters today and my pain was almost instantly gone and am amazed by how good I am feeling. Both of his daughters are awesome. Tiffany does phenomenal work with Pediatric Chiropractic and is currently doing Cranial Sacral work on my son. The changes to my son's diagnosis has been unbelievable and he is no longer a candidate for a helmet to treat his torticollis and cranial asymmetry. Beyond the Doctor's care, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the office is flexible. I highly recommend Rainier Valley Chiropractic. read more

Thanks to the team at Rainier Valley Chiropractic for helping me live a healthier life for almost 20 years. I've been coming to them for adjustments and massage therapy to relieve issues from a car accident to the punishing weekend warrior activities I participate in. Office staff is always kind, courteous, and professional. They are knowledgeable about the numerous insurance providers I've had over the years. Never had any billing issues. Dr. Butters and his daughter, Natasha, have both adjusted me and I always leave feeling cared for by a team with expert experience in their field. On numerous occasions they have explained to me some of the recent studies they've looked into and how they apply to their practice. This team has your best interests at heart. read more

I've been treated for hip pain on and off ever since high school. I've done physical therapy, which fixed it for a while, but the issue has always come creeping back. Continuing my care here has been so great. Adding massage to my treatment has made my migraines go away and that wasn't even my main issue but a great bonus. In 2001 I was involved a fairly serious car accident that injured really nothing, but some soreness and over time a developing back pain. In 2012 I had my son and immediately I realized that I was walking with a limp (nope didn't come with a "pimp swag"). And some pain in my lower back and hips. I went to see a physical therapist at Swedish that made me do some weird things that honestly did nothing for me. I told my husband I wouldn't be returning, but I did learn that my discomfort would only be temporary. My body just needed some time to recover and regain its original form. After a few months my body had indeed returned back in place, however the back pain that I used to feel after my car accident came back with a vengeance. It was at this time that my husband found Rainier Valley Chiropractor. My initial appointment was long because it was thorough and efficient. I was met with a sweet faced young lady named Dr. Natasha Butters. I was asked to perform a few simple neck and head movements while she held-up a device against the top of my head that read the degree of turns and bends I was making. She was so friendly and gentle. She listened to all my questions and answered in a manner that I would understand. She also told me what was happening each step of the way. She then took a series of X-rays to determine the true integrity of my spine. That very same day we looked at the X-rays together; I listened with awe as she explained what was happening beneath the layers of skin and fat and muscles.....my spine was craving attentions. 0_o And so began my loyalty with this excellent family business (the entire Butters family works here and it feels good to know that). I get a couple of weekly adjustments here mostly by Natasha and I love it. I always feel like I've stretched my body and everything is loose and flexible again. Not bunched up and knotted like it usually is. Today I received my first massage and it was fantastic. I love that they are so close to me as well. I recently injured my back and was looking for relief from the relentless pain and I sought the help of Dr. Tiffany Green. After three or so sessions I was feeling much better. Dr Butters and staff are amazing, emphatic, and professional. My husband and I were in a car accident and they fit us in the next day. We were only going to be in town for a week and half before moving out of town and they were accommodating for all the days we needed them until we moved. They even recommended another chiropractor to the state we moved too. Can't say enough good things about these knowledgeable and professional staff. read more

My kids, all six, and I were in a hit and run. We saw Dr. Green at RVC because of her experience and extensive training in pediatric areas of chiropractic care. She has been excellent, changing her style to suit each child. She has been amazing and informative, listening to them intently and explaining to me about what areas they need help in and what she is doing for them Not to talk about both Butters' doctors last for any reason at all, they have both been amazing for me as well. They always work well with me and make sure I am doing well before I leave. They make time for me when I have had issues without an apointment and have called after hours when I needed. In short all of the people that work here are extremely proffessional, they honestly care and they are the best chiropractors I have ever had. I have not seen them for very long but already I know I never want to be worked on by anyone else. read more

Dr Butters is the only chiropractor I trust to adjust my neck since I had surgery to replace 3 discs in 1999. I have been coming weekly for years and each visit I get relief. I have recommended Dr Butters to my friends, many of whom now go to him regularly. I just hope he never retires. read more

This place is good. I've been to a couple of "highly rated" chiropractors before and this one is definitely different. They don't push any "plans" on you to get you to continuously come in or anything like that. They also take xrays and do a simple yet thorough enough exam to really see what's going on. I've been to chiros that assume a problem without taking a full xray and adjust me, or places that focus way too much on how often I should be coming here. This place, all the front desk staff are great and straight to the point, making sure to not only check with your insurance for coverage but to clearly communicate it with you. All my appointments have always been so quick, and no fuss. Most places like to double book and don't tell you and you find yourself at the visit for over an hour (mostly waiting). Here, I've been in and out within 15 mins or less everytime but that doesn't mean things are rushed either. I've seen 3 Drs. (Mr.Butters, Dr. Natasha Butters, and Dr. Lance Tingey and they are all really good about listening to you and doing a number of things to make sure you leave happy if the basic adjustments didn't work. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Butters since 1993. My wife has been seeing him since the early 80's. I was skeptical at first about seeing a chiropractor but after having Dr. Butters exam and then treat me, I'm convinced that all work institutions should have a chiropractor on duty and call for all employees. As a Firefighter, we put our bodies through a lot and I don't believe I have met another Firefighter that doesn't see a chiropractor for pains ranging from back, shoulders, arms, and even legs, Dr. Butters "bedside manner" is one of caring and compassion, always taking the time to visit with myself and my family asking how we are doing and lending an ear in listening to our problems and life's ups and downs. He and his staff, including his wife, make a very strong team in restoring our faith in preventable medicine and combined with our own personal physician bring healthcare back to the forefront. He never does anything that would be considered unnecessary and always treats us with the upmost respect. Thank you Dr. Butters for caring and taking care of my family! read more
