I had to call on Gargoyle Granite to come shave off a little of the granite countertop in my…read morerecently purchased home in order to install a new kitchen sink. The original cut-out was not 'standard' and thus the new sink was not going to fit without in-house granite cutting. I contacted Gargoyle and the employee who I first spoke with explained that it would be quite messy to have the granite cut inside the house. The procedure was explained to me so that I understood what to expect. I also understood that it was advisable for me to tent the area around the sink in order to contain the granite dust. On the day of the appointment, I received a phone call roughly 20 minutes before my appointment time letting me know the workers were on their way. Two young men arrived about five minutes earlier than my appointment, and went to work. The procedure was actually a lot less messy and disruptive than I had thought it would be. They did an excellent job, quite fast. I was very pleased. I was billed for the services which wasn't cheap by any means, but all in all, I felt it was worth it (and frankly, I had no choice but to have this done, and there aren't many companies around here that can handle something like that). I would recommend Gargoyle for their good customer service, courtesy and good work.

But that's ok, because I sent an inquiry to Precision Countertops and Michelle got back to me in 24 hours. She explained everything and got me a quote, which was competitive with what the other companies had offered. She amended the quote to include removal of our existing (heinous) old counters. This removal service made things so much easier. I paid Michelle half up front, got assigned Alayna to be point person on the install, and a nice guy came & measured my counters (took an hour). A week and a half after the measurement, Alayna called to schedule the install (for two weeks after that). Two friendly guys came, removed the granite, and installed the counters (a 4-5 hour deal). They gave me some information about how to care for my new counters and what to expect. The whole process (from my first call to the installation) took less than a month. I got carrara marble counters & they are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The bevels around the sink are graceful. The other edges are just right. Plus the two seams look amazing (seams are always tricky!). Rather than trying to make it appear as if the pattern is the exact same on both sides (many quartz counter seaming jobs try to achieve this & it can look wonky), the seams are placed to complement both slabs and highlight the natural stone. They are integrated into the design in an elegant and organic way. I would not hesitate to recommend Precision Countertops to anyone who is looking for a beautiful counter install, at a fair price, that doesn't take months and months to schedule.
