I had to call on Gargoyle Granite to come shave off a little of the granite countertop in my recently purchased home in order to install a new kitchen sink. The original cut-out was not 'standard' and thus the new sink was not going to fit without in-house granite cutting. I contacted Gargoyle and the employee who I first spoke with explained that it would be quite messy to have the granite cut inside the house. The procedure was explained to me so that I understood what to expect. I also understood that it was advisable for me to tent the area around the sink in order to contain the granite dust. On the day of the appointment, I received a phone call roughly 20 minutes before my appointment time letting me know the workers were on their way. Two young men arrived about five minutes earlier than my appointment, and went to work. The procedure was actually a lot less messy and disruptive than I had thought it would be. They did an excellent job, quite fast. I was very pleased. I was billed for the services which wasn't cheap by any means, but all in all, I felt it was worth it (and frankly, I had no choice but to have this done, and there aren't many companies around here that can handle something like that). ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! We were told about these jerkoffs and stone remnants so we went to see them. The 'salesman' showed us beautiful samples, but never showed us any actual stone pieces. The originally contracted to buy stone/sinks for 2 baths and a slab of 'fantasy brown' stone for the seat of the new shower. The crap they sold us was nothing like the samples so we canceled the bath countertops and sinks. I argued with the sales manager about the 1/4 round shelves we added to the mix, when they came out looking NOTHING like the samples. He finally agreed to refund ONLY the shelves , but not the seat slab. I said 'wait til you see the reviews I leave'. He said i was unprofessional, yet they failed to show or let us pick our stones. So we went to a MUCH better place ( floform) and got amazing service, 7 pcs of stone, 2 sinks and installation for HUNDREDS LESS! Please shop around and AVOID Gargoyle AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE RUDE, EXPENSIVE AND HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! If zero stars was an option, that's what I would give these schmucks! read more

First off I have to say our kitchen counter tops and backsplash look amazing! Gargoyle was easy to work with. The communication was spot on. The installers were meticulous and it shows. Their showroom and selection of natural stone was impressive. We were able to pick out a sink there too. We love our kitchen again. Look forward to getting our bathroom countertops done next, will definitely be using Gargoyle again. read more

They had no one available to provide support which is fine if busy; however, when I asked if they had any recommendations of other stores with slabs (since they couldn't show us around and wouldn't let us look around on our own), they said they were the only one in the area. We found Ventura stone (15 min away) and were welcomed and treated 10x better than at Gargoyle. read more

Had them install my kitchen island quartz and it was measured wrong, backsplash downstairs measured wrong. They fixed it. Decided to do some more work then they send a final quote not sure why but glad they did and the measurements were WRONG! Then they said to get it right for us to remove our counter tops and they will come and measure and to let them know when it will be removed. Needless to say we canceled the job and will be going elsewhere. Stay away from this company, they are terrible. They don't know how to measure. Also they had to replace my kitchen island quartz because it split after a year due to the way it was cut I was told. Why I decided to go back was because the replacement was handled without issues, but I do not recommend this company. read more

Terrible communication from everyone at Gargoyle. Then they sent two installers who had zero skill. They arrived at 3:15 and could not lift the piece of granite, then made huge gouges in my door trim and window trim. No apologies. No offer to compensate us for the damage. They stopped work after 30 minutes saying they had to return to their office by 5 and would reschedule the install a week later. They also broke my sink that they used for templating and then claimed it was already broken. It absolutely was not broken when I gave it to them. This cost me another $300 to replace the sink and $350 for the damage to my wood work. They refused to compensate for any of the damage they caused. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR!! read more

This company has terrible customer service. We picked out a countertop for a bathroom and paid our contractor. When the time came to install the piece, Gargoyle Granite and Marble switched the piece we pick out and then stated it would be months before they could install it. Don't waste your time. Their inventory consists of cheap looking stones that are overpriced. Do not expect customer service when you walk through the door. No one will be able to help you. The salesmen also would not disclose our contractors credit for the stone. Yes, it is our money paying for it but we were told the information is confidential between the contractor and their business. My advice is to take your money south to a small granite business run by a young couple that knows customer service and all the stones by name. read more

The absolute worst experience. While the finished product looks good their staff clearly does not care about customer service. I own a business of my own and I would be horrified if my customers came away with this sort of taste in their mouth. We were quoted the wrong lead times from their sales staff, sold someone else's slab, communication was terrible, install did not go well and When we complained they told us basically that they had no fault in the situation. I worked for them for 3 weeks! They make really cool looking stuff, but the owner Jaimie and the trainer Dave are complete jerks. I'm glad I left, they talk to everyone like complet shit, and when you say something, they make you feel like you won't be able to get another job. Place isn't special. Mixed Review. They know what they are doing but they just dont put customer service first. I ordered countertop for kitchen with an 8 week lead time due to the time of year. You would think that a company would want to confirm the appointment via phone or email the day before. Nope they dont do that. You would think the day of the appointment they would want to provide a window of time to arrive. Nope they dont do that. They call a few minutes before they decide your job is next. 3:30 pm in the afternoon. I sat here all day waiting. I even called in the morning and asked for an ETA. She promised someone would call. Nope they dont do that apparently. I have no problem paying for good service. I just wish they offered good customer service. I get there arent many choices in this area. This company installed our complete kitchen granite 18 yrs ago, apparently that means nothing. A few weeks ago I called and spoke with a gentleman regarding a very small job of putting granite on a small vanity in a small bathroom. I wanted to see if they had some of the same granite that is in my kitchen. The rep told me he was pretty sure he had some of the granite left and to call him as soon as I had the exact measurements. After 4 messages I have yet to have a return call. If they dont want to do this small job I understand, just say so! Dont ignore my messages!! RETURN A CALL!! All my friends have been advised of this very bad customer service. Oh, I have found what I needed from a very big flooring store that was more than happy to help us. read more
