There was 15 of us and every single question i had she went out of her way to ensure me that everything was taken care of. Our waiter Steve was great took care of all of us and my grandbaby had a fantastic 3rd b-day When you have a lot of people and big reservation it could get stressful but there was not once ounce of stress. Again Sierra went above and beyond to assist with our reservations and answered every question with care and attention. My kids used to come here all the time with Grandma and Grandpa! My youngest was feeling nostalgic on her birthday and wanted to have her family birthday lunch here. We arrived after church and were asked if we had a reservation, and we did not. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, which kind of surprised me since the place was not very busy at all, but it did fill up. We spent time in the gift shop to pass the time. We visited the Photo Booth and tried our luck at the claw machine--the birthday girl successfully snagged a stuffed elephant! When we were called, we were placed in a line queue to be seated and it took a while. When we were seated, it took a while for our server to come to our table. Granted, we were all getting pretty hungry so that didn't help. Danny was our server and he was great. He got us some chips and salsa while we waited for our entrees. My youngest loved her beastly burger, I loved the salmon and coconut shrimp I ordered. My oldest hated her pasta--the shrimp was overcooked and it didn't have much flavor she said. When you come here, you're coming for the scene, the vibes and the experience, not the stellar food. The storm is cool and we got to experience it a couple times. Sometimes its just nice to go to these theme restaurants. They are far and few these days and I'm glad Rainforest Cafe is hanging on. This location is the ONLY location left in CA which makes it that much more special to visit when you can. I love the decor here. Especially for a family outing it just boosts the mood. They have a big gift shop to entice you to buy stuff you don't need. Several picture opportunities if you want. The restaurant itself is what you expect from a Rainforest Cafe if you have not been before. So expect very dim/dark setting with lights and sounds. Can't hate it if that is their thing. If you know you want a more bright and quiet setting, why did you bother to go here. We ordered the Pastalaya, China Island Chicken Salad, and few kids menu items for the kiddos. The prices are a bit on the higher end. Expect $25-30 per main dish and $10 for kids menu items. The kids items comes with a side and a drink so thats a nice touch. So don't expect Chili's/Applebee prices. However, the menu isn't overwhelming like Cheesecake factory and the food was actually pretty good. The serving size could easily be shared with 2 people, and they did not skimp out on the protein. The service was a bit slow on a random middle of the week day, but the staff was friendly. I figure they don't staff as many until weekends or evenings and we weren't in a rush so it allowed us to soak up the ambiance. As an entire dining experience for family, I definitely enjoyed it. It's too expensive to go often, but good to go once in a while when we are in SoCal. read more

This is a great place to take kids who have never experienced animatronics before. The ambiance was a nice change from a normal restaurant. I have not ate here since 2015. And to be honest this place is a sleeper. Customer service was friendly and attentive. And they were busy for a Monday night. Ordered my daughter the chicken quesadilla and she loved it with Ranch. Wife had the blackened fish tacos and she loved them. She said they were very flavorful. I had the double cheeseburger I asked for it medium rare but should have ordered medium. Either way it was a very good burger. Side note their thousand island was really good. And my waiter noticed my daughter took my ranch and brought a replacement. We already booked a reservation to come back. A lot of these restaurants are closing but I say give it a chance. Exceeded our expectations. Very happy to still have this location in Southern California. I was extremely eager to take my family there. We made a reservation and the hostess did a great job getting us a table near the waterfall, still viewing all the animals. Our server was fantastic, extremely friendly and accommodating to a gluten allergy. We ordered a lettuce wrapped burger & the Asian chicken salad - both were delicious. I took my salad home to finish the next day! Very happy Rainforest Cafe is still kicking, I grew up coming to this location so it's a great feeling now bringing my family and creating memories. My family and I visit this Rainforest Cafe at Ontario Mills at least once a month, so this experience was especially disappointing--especially because we were there celebrating my daughter's first birthday. After finishing my drink, I found a hair inside the cup. I calmly brought it to our server's attention expecting the issue to be handled professionally. Instead, our server, Tim, accused me and my girlfriend of trying to scam the restaurant and even claimed my girlfriend brought the hair from home in her pocket. We were honestly shocked and embarrassed by how we were treated. We weren't rude, demanding, or asking for anything free--we simply pointed out an issue with the drink. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but accusing loyal customers of dishonesty instead of handling the situation respectfully is unacceptable. We've always enjoyed coming here, which makes this even more disappointing. I hope management takes this seriously and works on improving how customer concerns are handled. read more

The Rainforest Cafe is a pretty cool place. I'm absolutely sure a child would surely enjoy coming here seeing the animals props, hearing the sound effects, and enjoying their meal. As an adult, it might be different. Sure, the atmosphere is enjoyable, and I love seeing the giant elephant and the monkey hanging from the roof. But in my opinion, the food and drinks were mediocre. I ordered their steak, and it was tough and dry. I could barely cut it with my knife. It seemed more well done than medium rare. My cocktail came in a nice lit up cup with lights, I thought that was cool! It was a take home souvenir afterwards! Cool Blue Hawaiian drink with Rum! But where's the alcohol?! Yes, it was watered down. But at least I enjoyed the visual. My friends ordered baby back ribs with shrimp. It was pretty good. The meat was also a bit in the dry side, but still good. Tbh, when you come here, it's more about the atmosphere. If you like the movie "Jurassic Park", then you'll like this place, too. I love Jurassic Park... so boom! But the food is mediocre at best. The service however was good. Our waitress was very attentive who made sure we were all content. Kudos for the service. Rainforest Cafe is a great concept. But it's more for families with children. Ambiance is always fun at rainforest but didn't have high expectations for food. We were pleasantly surprised with the food. Nachos to start were thin crispy chips with all the toppings and had no complaints everyone gobbled it up. Meatloaf was baked then grilled served with roasted vegetables and sautéed onions and were pretty good overall. My son ate up the pasta and said it was good. The taco salad was pretty standard but I asked for salsa a few times and it never showed till the end when I was packing up leftovers. I wouldn't recommend the beef, it was a little dry. Went to the Rainforrest Cafe for lunch today with our 2 grandkids. We made reservations and the wait was minimal. Our server Danny was fantastic! He anticipated our needs as well as the grandkids and was very sweet to them. The food came out hot and was good. We had the burgers and fries. The grandkids had the kids mini burgers and Mac n cheese. They loved it! What was also a HUGE hit AND a nice surprise was the balloon artist that came by our table, Brian. He took balloon requests from the kids, Ninja Turtles in different colors.... They were awesome and the kids were thrilled! Grandma and Grandpa were hero's! He too was very sweet with the kids challenging request! All in all, it made for a great afternoon and the kids bragged to mom and dad when they got home! Take than mom and dad! Its just like how I remembered it as a kid! The immersive jungle ambiance with the storm at every half an hour. It was great to revisit many years later. It was PACKED on a saturday night. They stopped taking walk-ins at 7pm, so reservations are a must! The american fare food was seriously good. Would say its a step above other American restaurants such as Applebees. I now have a clear understanding of why this restaurant has closed in our area. This restaurant is clearly only good for the ambiance and only the ambiance. Since we have traveled from the Bay Area to go to Disneyland, I wanted to have a good dinner that my son would enjoy the scenery. We arrived an hour early to our reservation, front desk informed they could not see us early but would text me if they could. Since the restaurant is located in the mall we had no issues with shopping around for some time, especially since we just got done with a 6 hour drive. When we checked back in at our actual reservation time, I realized the lady never checked us in, so we had to recheck in to our reservation. Hostess were not pleasant at all, no smiles, no introduction, they did the bare minimum interaction as much as possible. On my reservation I stated we had 2 birthdays, all we were handed was a birthday hat from hostess, I had to inform hostess that we had two birthdays. Our server Aurora greeted us not too long after being sat. aurora messed up my sons drink order, which not an issue things happen but did forget his drink and I had to remind her of his drink the 2 times she came to the table.Food was mediocre: AMAZON BRUSCHETTA 10/10 only thing that was good we ordered KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS 7/10- brought to us like warm, messy. No plates were brought to us for us to eat our appetizers and then when did they only gave 2 plates when asked.(we were a party of 4) POT ROAST- 8/10 again came out like warm. AMAZON CHICKEN FAJITAS- 7/10 the tortillas and the sides came out before the skillet of chicken. We waited about 5 minutes for chicken skillet to eat our fajitas. The rice was way over cooked and mushy. The chicken was the only thing that came out hot out of all the dishes we ordered. We ordered the Korean fried chicken first when we placed our drink order, and somehow everything came at once, appetizers and our meals. Server only checked on our table once during the entire visit. Server never acknowledged our birthdays. When it came down to pay, I gave 1 gift card and a complimentary card that I was given by another Landry's restaurant for some mess ups. The server only applied the gift card and then when I questioned she was trying to brush me off saying "yea it's all there" as she was trying to drop off something at another table. I literally had to point out that I gave her 2 cards and only 1 was applied, she finally took a look and said she will have the manager look at it. The manager never came to our table to introduce and ask regarding the card.. which is fine but it would have been nice to see a face or explain. The manager just applied the $25 complimentary balance. If I would not have caught that second card wasn't applied I would have paid more and then needing to justify to server just rubbed me the wrong way. Aurora was moving way too fast and needs to pay a little more attention to her tables and what she is doing, I feel that mistake should have been taken care of before even bringing the receipt. Service and food was not good in my opinion but again the ambiance is always nice at rainforest cafe. A one and done for me and my family. read more

First off, shout out to our server Rebecca, she was friendly, patient, and kept everything flowing even with how busy the place was on a Friday night. I ordered the chicken/steak combo fajitas, and gotta say, I really liked 'em. They came out sizzling hot, with solid flavor and generous portions. Everything felt fresh and well-prepared, and I'd absolutely order them again. As mentioned, we were kind of/sorta celebrating a birthday, and the staff made it extra fun, loud, wild, and perfect for the moment. If you're coming with kids or looking for a place that makes a big deal out of birthdays, this spot delivers. That said, while the theming and atmosphere are definitely cool and unique, the overall food quality and pricing land this experience at a solid 3 stars. This was supposed to be a fun Valentine's Day dinner, and it turned into one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had in a long time. We had a reservation and still waited to be seated. Once we finally sat down, the service completely fell apart. Tables around us who ordered after we did got their food first while we sat there... and sat there... and sat there. We waited over an hour and never received our meals. Our drinks took about 40 minutes to arrive, and my blended drink was already melted when it hit the table -- basically juice at that point. The most ridiculous part? We even had our souvenir photos taken and printed... and the pictures came out before our food ever did. So yes -- we literally walked out of Rainforest Cafe on Valentine's Day with photos but no dinner. Meanwhile, the table next to us had apparently been there three hours before we even arrived and kept getting their order wrong multiple times. It was obvious the restaurant was completely overwhelmed and disorganized. At minimum, management should have stepped in to make this right. After that kind of wait and service failure, the food honestly should have been comped or some effort made to recover the experience. Instead, we had to ask multiple times just to get the check for our drinks so we could leave -- which took another 20 minutes. Looking at other reviews and seeing management repeatedly respond with "please visit the link to leave feedback" tells me everything I need to know about how seriously customer experience is taken here. It's pretty self-explanatory what kind of place this is. Completely killed the vibe of what was supposed to be a special night. Do yourself a favor: save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Rainforest Cafe is located inside Ontario Mills. There is plenty of mall parking in the lot outside. We came on a weekday afternoon and it was not that busy. The ambience was nice and it really reminded me of when I went to a different location when I was younger. The host who seated us was not the most friendly, so we were a bit miffed - not sure his name. Our waitress, Amy was very accommodating and friendly. The food did take awhile and could be a bit faster though, but they did have other entertainment while waiting, such as a photographer who offer photo services - they give you a small complimentary photo with bigger prints that are available for purchase and another employee who makes balloon animals for kids. I ordered the Anaconda Pasta with salmon and my bf ordered the steak. Our food was decent - I would not say it is the best food ever, but it was okay and we just came here for the experience. Both our first time at this particular location, but I have been to 1 when I was younger and he has been to multiple other locations. Been a long time fan of Rainforest Cafe...I think they have relatively good prices for relatively good food. Their Blue Cheese Chicken salad was really good, a bit drenched with Italian dressing but still good. The rib, steak, shrimp trio was solid and not bad at $35. I had to ask our waitress for a water, 3 times and unfortunately never received it. I could tell that she was extremely busy but the experience would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for that miss. read more
