The restaurant was crowded given that it was a Saturday. However, upon showing my LSC membership card; we were seated within 10 minutes despite the 2-hour general wait time. We have been coming to this restaurant every year before Christmas with our family since my kids were little. They are now adults and this was our last visit. The food was extremely overpriced and not edible. My 3 kids ordered burgers and no one ate more than a bite. They said McDonald's would have been better. My Cobb salad was ok but certainly not worth $21! The appetizer was the highlight of the visit. It was called the awesome appetizer. I had some idea of what I was getting into, but now I wish I had tried harder to talk my kids out of it or just said "NO! " Very rarely has such a disappointing experience cost so much. Let's get one thing out of the way first - the food is so overpriced it's ridiculous. And the food is not good. Even with that expectation in mind, this was an awful experience. The server was inattentive at best, and that's being nice. We were seated, put our orders in, and when I finally flagged her down 30 minutes later to find out what was taking so long, she said "oh, yeah - it should be up soon. The kitchen is a little backed up." (news flash - it took another 15 minutes). I grabbed her after our food got there for refills and some lemons, since I knew she'd never check in again. I was right. My kids' meals were $7 for GFS nuggets and lousy pasta, and my fried fish was so overcooked that I thought it was chicken at first. It was not. This was not a good meal. Aside from the fun ambience, much of the food has consistently been gross every time I have visited over the years... no matter what I order. Ambience was very nice enjoyed the hanging gorillas which kept on winking at us :) . Unfortunately, even though the ambience was spectacular, the true downfall was the fact that a food came late, overall the service from the waiter was accommodating and he did the best with the constraints from the kitchen staff. My husband Anthony really devoured the amazing appetizer platter. He said he gave him three out of five stars because it reminded him of heat up food. A friend and I stopped here with the kids after seeing Sea Life. We were seated right away and the staff was nice and patient. Fun restaurant decor for the kids. I was traveling through town. Kiddos wanted to go to Lego and Sea land and saw this restaurant and got excited. I read the reviews regarding the food and was hesitant but they really wanted the experience. Unfortunately, they were short on servers but most staff except my waitress was friendly. Because I drove hours to get here and was hungry, I had questions about the food and am on a diet - also dealing with loss. Sadly, one of her comments to me was "that's all we got!" I ordered the shrimp and blackened tilapia. The fish was blackened on the top but not cooked well through. I just couldn't stomach it especially for $31. To be honest, I didn't even want to tell my server and told another but ended up telling her and replaced with a burger which was decent. When she's bring dishes over, she'd just drop off and say here you go and only asked after everything was eaten how it was. Due to my job, I take clients out to eat literally daily. I know great customer service and this was not jt. Honestly, I understand the talent crisis because I worked to help fix it. My org sees hundreds of companies a year. I don't blame her or them. The atmosphere is fun and kids will love it. It puts you in the feel of a rainforest. Order foods that are simple - burgers. Sadly, waitress didn't like me and I could feel it and just dropped off check. I asked for a side salad and she gave me a full one. The ambiance is neat, although the poor animals look like they've been set on a timer to move for the last 20 years. My toddler likes the mist from the ledge the best, and that's not something you need to even go into the restaurant to enjoy. The food was not worth the money. Her grilled cheese tasted like it was soaked in butter before it was grilled. I got the fish and chips and was disappointed because the fish was dry and the fries were barely warm. At least I was able to enjoy the grapes and orange slices that came with my daughter's grilled cheese. The most disappointing things about this experience was that we waited for almost 45 minutes for 2 adults meals and 2 kids meals, and the restaurant was maybe half full. There were tons of empty tables. Also, I knew it would be overpriced, but for my meal, my daughter's meal (which included a $6.50 cup...the servicer didn't mention the price or that it wasn't included when she up sold us), plus tip was $40! And we probably left about half the food uneaten because it wasn't that good when it came out. Tip: save your money and just hang out in the gift shop for a little bit (hear a thunder storm or two) and go eat in the food court. This place is mostly for its atmosphere. The food is decent, but only worth the price if you are fully sold on the novelty of the restaurant. That being said, the quality of the food certainly isn't poor, probably on par with and good local bar and grill. The burgers and nachos are perhaps the best value, but they have a good variety of foods to choose from ranging from steaks to pasta dishes and vegetarian/vegan options so there something for everybody. Ambiance is everything here! From the minute you walk underneath their neon sign, you find yourself surrounded by robotic rain forest animals, aquariums of fish, and a ceiling that is designed to look like the night sky. The animals are all designed to do something. The lion and tiger roar and move their tails. The elephant flaps his ears and the monkeys make monkey noises. A couple of times during our meal the restaurant pretended that a rain storm was occurring so they dimmed the lights flashed lightening and made thunder sounds along with the sound of heavy rain. It was pretty remarkable. It completely reminded me of all the wonderful restaurants in Disney world. We ordered their hamburgers with fries. I went for the guacamole burger and my son just had the kid's meal cheeseburger with fries. There food was so good! Everything was served hot and tasted fresh. I loved the spiciness of the cheese that came with the burger; it really kicked it up a notch. Everything was seasoned well. They did miss the fried onion ring that was suppose to top my burger but, that is ok. It was my birthday so we also received a free birthday cupcake. The cupcake was super dry but, free so... The waitress was really great about it and added a sparkler to the top to entertain the kids! The customer service here is wonderful. She was so attentive and friendly toward me and the children. She really made us feel welcome. It was a great way to round-off our day. I look forward to eating there again in the future on our next trip to Legoland. read more

Additionally, my son ordered creole Mac and cheese which came with tomatoes even though they weren't listed as an ingredient. Actually my family and our guests had great time there. Kids enjoyed their meals and adults got to spend some times of their own. I have read some reviews stating that food is very expensive here but it wasn't that bad price for the place. Food was fine, just like other family restaurant. It took me third attempts to eat this restaurant after making reservations three weeks advance. Just as we always remembered many excited children and parents in tow. Waitress was prompt and very friendly. We placed orders for Cesar salad with chicken and the nachos. My mother order the appetizer and I ordered a meat Trio which was the saddest steak I've ever seen looked more like a thin hamburger patty or thick lunch meat. Would not seat a party of 20 without having 7 families there at the same time (not going to happen), then was going to give our table away because we were missing a few people!! Manager came over to "solve the issue" and had more attitude than the actual high schoolers running the counter. Female manager then proceeded to YELL at the elderly family in my party over us moving 2 extra chairs to the table while the entire half of the restaurant by us was empty. Very disappointed. I expected the prices to be high because of it being a theme restaurant. However the food was nothing special. Which I found rather disappointing. I will say their appetizers are quite tasty(the fried pickles are delicious). The servers were nice but slow. This location was very chaotic. The seating was very crammed in and there is hardly any spec between tables. Also their are very long wait to times to be seated so I recommend going online and checking in about an hour before you want to eat.
