Also for those who inevitably will ask about the bathrooms: they are off limits to customers. Currently, only employees may use the restrooms. This is directly from a sales associate yesterday during their official grand opening. Thursday, they had a soft launch. So, plan accordingly and have a back up plan for other bathrooms that are usable in the area and clean. Lost one star for that because while I understand the reasoning, that's also terrible business strategy. You risk potential sales of a customer wants to buy something but would like the restroom first. Overall, I'm glad the store is here and I hope it continues to improve and stay in the great state it's in currently now.

I'm not really a fan of The Gap, but this outlet is a fine store. It's just like any other outlet. The deals and discounts are comparable to those at other Gap Outlets (such as the one in Jersey Gardens). Perhaps the space at this Newark location is bit smaller than other Outlets, but it's in no way a cramped store. At least, that's what I thought when I peeped it out. Also, last time I was there, I thought that the staff kept the store well maintained. If you work in the area or normally shop along Broad and Market, you may find a good deal here.

She helped me find a size in the back from shoes and price check some apparel that I found on the clearance rack. I needed a fitting room and a younger male employee caught my attention from across the store and came over to help me in a timely manner. Even the security guard was nice and welcoming.
