I purchased a pair of shoes Friday. I was concerned about the shoe's Velcro strap. I tried the…read moreshoes on in the store and they felt fine to walk in. They were comfortable and all. Here's where it goes downhill. The manager was the cashier, I didn't know she was the manager at the time. I asked her before paying what their return policy was because I wanted to make sure when I wear the shoes I don't fall. She said she understood and that if I bring them back with the receipt, original box and packaging in 10 days I'd get a full refund. I wore the shoes for 20 minutes on Saturday. Getting out of the car the Velcro strap came undone and I fell. Monday I head into the store to return them and a different employee tells me I cannot return them because they're worn. I explain all that I told the first girl and she says come back tomorrow after seeing that it's the manager that rung me up. TODAY I revisit the store. The manager recognizes me and remembers our conversation. What she miraculously doesn't remember is that she didn't tell me I could not return the shoes if they're worn. I would feel better about all this if I was aware that purchasing the shoes meant I couldn't return them, whether I fell or not. It's just dishonest of the manager to scam someone into a sale. Terrible customer service and a scam return policy.

The windows are always decorated beautifully. The store is not hard to shop through like some other ones. The sales girl Stephanie has been helping me for over 5 years now. I see little turn over there. The place it kept clean. The deals are great. I realize its not top quality but I have my sandals and my daughter has her bebe sweats for 2 years now. T-shirts and sweaters run a but on small side. My daughter has ro tey everything in for that reason. My only issue is the fitting room. I do not care for a shared open fitting room.

A couple of weeks ago I was in the area and was pleasantly surprised to see a Joyce Leslie store. I…read morehadn't shopped at Joyce Leslies since I was a teen and I figured since I really loved them as a teenager, my own 13-year old would appreciate their clothes. So I quickly parked and ran in the store. I purchased quite a bit of things for my daughter and a few things for myself. I asked the man at the front if I could try them on. He said dressing rooms were closed but that I could bring them back for a full refund if they didn't fit. I tried on the clothes when I got home but the quality was horrible. They were see-through and the material was just plain old cheap. I really should have left them there at the store. The tops I bought for my daughter were "okay" though. She's a teen so quality is not necessarily an issue but style is. I planned to return the clothes for me in a few days. A few days later, the exact day I planned on returning the clothes, I was in a car accident with my teenage daughter. Thank God we were okay but I was completely out of commission with a vehicle. Finally, after a week I got my rental car. I went to Joyce Leslie to return the 2 dresses I purchased but the man at the front- the same man that advised me I could return the clothes for a full refund - pointed to the receipt and said that I could only return up to one week. I must say I was pretty disturbed. This was the man that told me I could get a refund if it didn't fit. Out of courtesy, he could have told me I only had 7 days! He circled the small print on my receipt and then pointed to a sign that had small print at the register. I was very disappointed and disturbed to say the least. If I had known, I would have had one of my boys return the items. In lieu of a refund, I asked him for store credit which he gave to me. It looked like a receipt. Who does paper store credits anymore? That's how antiquated their system and policies are. I left out the store very upset and figured I would go to a different location of Joyce Leslie another day and at another location when I wasn't so upset. I figured I'd take my daughter with me so she could pick out more items. I went across the street to the nail salon to get a pedicure. While I was there, I took out my credit to snap a pic of it for Yelp so I could show how trifling their store credit looked. That's when I noticed the store credit expired the same day!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! After I had words with the man in the store for not giving me a heads-up with the return policy, he purposely didn't tell me the credit would expire the same day. Luckily after my pedi, I walked back over to Joyce Leslie and used the credit. Luckily the man that was at the register previously wasn't there since I had a few choice words for him. There was a woman at the cash register. I stood in line and when she was ready to assist me, she looked at me and turned her hand up as if to motion "what're you gonna do?" Lol Its been a long time since I've seen such unprofessionalism in a business. I used the credit to pay for my items and walked out of Joyce Leslie feeling relieved, knowing I'll never go back there again. I read their reviews for other locations...seems there's a trend of unprofessionalism and bad service going on at ALL their locations. I would say room for improvement to say the least but maybe it's just time for them to dry up and go out of business. They're taking up good "brick and mortar" space. #ByeJoyceLesie
