A…read morecrew was sent out from Aurora, Illinois within 3 days but we could not communicate with them as their team leader barely spoke English and none of the other workers were very fluent either. They communicated in Spanish amongst themselves. They pretty much did what they wanted without telling us. One of the worst parts were they packed up many items in our basement -everything from my craftshop and sewing room- and brought the boxes out an egress window right through my flower bed ruining it without even telling me they were going to do that and stacked them in my garage numbered and labeled with what room they went to. We have 2 unfinished rooms in the basement where these boxes could have been placed. They supposedly took photos of content in every box but when I requested those photos so I knew what box corresponded with what content, they never responded. As this project is still ongoing and these boxes remain my garage, I have no idea if I even have all my contents any longer. I did manage to pack up a good part of the contents of the family room myself before they showed up and labeled each box accordingly with what items were in each box but ran out of time. The reason I did that is we had previous experience after a house fire in 2017 of workers stealing contents. Those boxes were not even moved into the unfinished rooms which needed to happen because the flooring needs to be replaced, The foreman of the team seemed to be upset that I had done part of the work such as removal of all contents to a higher surface and opening up all furniture to air like I had taken away part of their work. I was just trying to mitigate damage to the furniture and contents as we had a 10,000 back up and sewer insurance cap. They did not finish packing up all the contents in the other rooms and I had to purchase additional boxes myself,and my son, and his fiancee and I packed up the workshop and additional items not packed up in the family room area. Apparently, Paul Davis was more concerned with a time frame of 2 days than finishing the job. We placed these boxes in our utility room and storage closet which are not finished, They could have used those rooms for storage but chose not too. They left drywall dust everywhere after cutting the lower drywall 2 feet. We will have to have our hvac system professionally cleaned as the air from the basement is causing headaches and body aches. What is worse is they promised us to help with the rebuilding and here it is almost a month later and they still have not even given us a final estimate and do not return our phone calls. Once the remodel is done, I and my husband who both are in our 60's with previous knee injuries have to move these boxes back down. We also never received a summary or accounting of what the cost of the clean up was and if all of our funds were used. We are on our own now to find a contractor to finish the job and living in a house with half of the storage room unavailable.

Romero walked us through the process and helped communicate with our insurance, meanwhile the crew protected our floors with paper, Once areas were cleaned and disinfected, the crew brought in their equipment to begin the drying process. Again Romero explained to us the importance of monitoring daily to ensure that the wet affected materials are drying effectively. After the last monitor, the crew returned to pick up all the equipment, and they did a final cleaning. I highly recommend this company. They are the best of the best.

Even more concerning, the bleach/chlorine-based cleaning solution was drawn into our home through our running HVAC system, leaving a chemical odor throughout the house. When I reported the electrical damage, I was told I would need to hire and pay for an electrician myself. I requested a resolution and insurance information and have yet to receive a return call. Property damage can happen. What matters is how a company responds when it does. Unfortunately, the response and lack of follow-up have been the most disappointing part of this experience.

They cleaned the units from the top of the roof to the bottom. They cleaned the eaves over the front doors. Most buildings had algae on them some worse than the others. When I met Owen and Ryan I told them I would be their best friend or worst nightmare because I was the one to sign the contract so I expected great work. They were professional and worked so hard for two days to clean these two story buildings. They did an awesome job. When they were done they asked me if I was their best friend or worst enemy. Because we did not want to see any brush or roller streaks, we asked that a spraying method be utilized. Our contractor said he often uses Five Star. Five Star said it would be a two day process because they would have to basically build a spray booth in order to prevent backsplash into the room. One day to set up the booth and priming, the second day to complete job and clean up. The charge was roughly $1800 for an area of 7'x8'. The contractor said he could not find anyone cheaper because of the spraying choice. (I never saw a written estimate. Shame on me.) The painter shows up and covers the windows, wall surrounding the fireplace, hearth and carpet immediately in front. I questioned him about the spray type booth I was told that was necessary and he knew nothing about the specifics of which I was told. He said there was no need for it. He also told me he would have the job completed in about 6 hours. I informed him I was told it would be at least 2 days. He then made a call and came back to me to say he was told it "would" take 2 days. I also discovered that the painter was a subcontractor of Five Star and not an employer of Five Star. I was never told that the sub, Five Star was using a sub. For liability purposes and potential lien issues, I should have been told a sub of the sub would be used. I also learned that this sub was being paid less that 1/4 of what I was being charged for such a "difficult job"! The painter couldn't have been nicer and I understand he had no knowledge beforehand of what I was told. I was lied to and charged for a 2 day jobs that in essence took roughly 6 hours. In my book that is unethical and fraudulent.

Now with the amount of stuff I had laying around and the lack of upkeep, I was shocked at how much they got done in 3 hours. Michael, but from what I gather, he has been very prompt in responding. So, we have been using them for several months now and are still happy, overall. They were flexible with us moving a cleaning day, adding a cleaning day, and skipping one week. We are on bi-weekly schedules, and at first they were sending us different people each week who could fit the schedule. But after a small issue that we are still trying to resolve, we asked that they send the same pair each time so that we have some consistency. The cleaners supply almost everything, including bringing their own vacuum and swiffer, micro fiber cloths, sprays, etc. I think the only thing they don't supply are trash liners. I think what some customers also need to realize is that if they say 4 hours cleaning time, and send 2 people, they will be there for 2 hours (meaning 2 people cleaning for 2 hours each = 4 total hours). For us and our 3bd/2ba It doesn't sound like a lot of time, but they really are efficient and do a great job.
