I just had a great pedicure here! It was clean, the workers were friendly, and they had a great selection of colors. It was $27 for a spa pedicure, which is a pretty standard price. read more

I had trouble communicating with them. Water in tub started out too hot, the massage chair was uncomfortable. The young man did not pay attention to my age and applied too much pressure when massaging. They seemed a bit distant to me, the job was satisfactory but I will try another salon next time. read more

Best nail place in SB. Hands down! Good prices, good quality and very friendly. The only place I will go in the area, all others aren't worth it. read more

Staff was doing great. They painted the wrong color but looked great anyhow. However, the nail drying machine was filthy and needed cleaning badly. I did even see them wipe it off between clients. They didn't wash their hands between customers either. So if you don't care about possibly obtaining a disgusting infection of some sort then this is the place to go to. Also, it is called Rainbow Nail..not even one rainbow in the joint..lol get a bit more gay If someone has hepatitis b and bleeds on that surface and is not cleaned properly it can be transmitted for at least a week...think about it...not something you want to bring home... read more

Called to see if I could just get my toes painted and shaped and they took me 15 minutes later (10 am on a Monday). The girl was so nice! Professional. Got beautiful white toenails for $10. And it took about 10 minutes!! read more

Rainbow Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

Tim has given me the best nail tips ever (he uses a powder which makes your nails super strong), as well as the most beautiful french manicures ever. He really listens to what you want. After trying almost every other place in town, he is the best! And if you ever need to have your nail tips removed, he does it in such a gentle way it does not hurt, where others basically rip your nails off. 10 stars!!!!!! Today, I had Fu Bang doing a pedicure. It was absolutely awesome. The perfect temperature of the foot bath, gentle massage on feet and legs, my toe nails look absolutely fabulous. In addition, he is a very nice, caring young man, who is interested in his clients. He was very nice to talk to! 10 stars!!!!!!! read more

These salon owners act like they are doing you a big favor. They are not polite and not clean. The tools are not a new packets each time and the brushes and scrubbers are not fresh either. They talk down to people. Father sits on a desk on the pc and its his job to scrub the foot tubs but it isn't done well. he is not friendly, does not acknowledge people or smile. They close mid day when it says they close at 7pm. They made an appointment with me for4pm and closed at 3pm. The polish is good. There is an elderly woman that is the best of all. But look elsewhere. read more

Great prices and service. They were quick and my nails look great. My new place to get fills and pedicures.

I've been going to that salon for years. Love these guys! Very fast, efficient and they do a great job, and the prices are super reasonable!

The people at Rainbow Nails are awesome. They are incredibly professional and kind, and I've never had a bad experience here. My manicures and pedicures have always looked great, and people often comment on how nice they look, even when it's been a while between visits. One tip: definitely call ahead for an appointment. They do walk-ins, but they are often super busy. read more

Best nail place in town! The owners are amazing! I'm there every two-three weeks getting my nails done great colors to choose from, comfy spa chairs for pedicures. Love rainbow nails read more

Rainbow Nail is hands down the best nail salon in Santa Barbara. My mom and mother in law also think it is better than the salons in San Diego and the Bay Area. I've had gels, acrylics and regular manicures and pedicures. Tim and his wife do a great job and my pedicures always last a long time. I've been coming here for almost ten years and unfortunately I live in north county now but try to make it to Rainbow Nails when I can. read more

The girls here do a job. Unfortunately one of the younger guys (forgot his name) cut my big toes so short that it's uncomfortable and they are still recovering. Such a shame because he was really nice, but he ruined my toes. read more

I have been here a few times. I waited to write a review because I wanted to make sure their service was consistent. I have had shellac pedicure & manicures done. My daughter has gotten a full set as well as pedicures. The service is very friendly. They do a great job. My daughter wanted an unusual trendy design on her acrylics & they worked with her to get exactly what she wanted. They definitely know about nails & customer service. I've walked in each time without an appointment & my wait time was 15-20. If you don't want to wait call ahead. I also tip big because I love that they talk to you & suggest things instead of just rushing you out of there. read more

Lin gave me the best gel manicure I've ever gotten! The edges were completely perfect and it lasted a full two weeks, despite many beach trips and working as a nurse. The price was also reasonable, $30-35 (can't quite remember). I found in my search that a lot of places charge ~$40. I made an appointment and didn't have to wait at all. Plus, they have my favorite color - OPI Mod About You. I will be back! read more

They did an amazing job with my gels and pedicure! My gels stayed intact a full 3 weeks and didn't peel around the edges and my pedicure lasted great too. 5 stars! read more

Best gel manicure I've gotten in the SB area; guy who did my hands was excellent! Pedicure was okay/average but everyone was very friendly and the gel mani was so good, I'll definitely be back. read more

After trying to get an appointment at my go-to nail place (and failing) I called up Rainbow Nails and they had me seated within 15 minutes. I was hesitant at first to try anything new but I absolutely loved my experience here. Friendly employees and clean area. My gel nails look great and I will definitely be coming back! read more

Hands down bEsT place in the area for stiletto acrylics. I like my nails superrrr pointy and not a lot of technicians are able to get them as sharp as I like. I was thrilled with the full set of perfectly shaped, shARP stiletto nails I got here. And I was in and out in under an hour!! Plus, I only paid $50 + tip for a full set of long length stiletto gel acrylics. read more

The best manicure/pedicure I've gotten in Santa Barbara. I was able to walk in, but I was lucky; several people were turned down while I was there. I could tell clients were return customers because many were on a first time basis. Very reasonable ... I'll be back. read more

I love this place! Definitely my favorite nail salon in Santa Barbara. I get my acrylics done here and I am never disappointed! Beautiful job and friendly people. Very well priced. read more

Im fairly new to Santa Barbara and came here for the first time for an acrylic fill and color change with Tim. The price was pretty reasonable (for Santa Barbara)$18 and Tim was very quick yet detailed. He made sure I liked the thickness and the shape of the nail and took the time to clean up any imperfections. I was satisfied with the result and see myself coming back another time. read more

Best nail salon in my opinion! Tim is great and they have high quality gel polish with endless color options. Pricing is reasonable my only suggestions is that you call in advance because they are a popular and busy salon. I live in Oxnard but I drive to Santa Barbara to get my mani/pedi's done here. read more

Just passing through but stopped to get a mani with my mom who got a fill. Got us in right away and did a great job with both. Would definitely come again - wish I lived close enough to come here all the time. read more

They do a wonderful job on gel nails. Been there several times. Looks great, stays on perfectly for several weeks, and very reasonable. You should make an appointment, getting walk-in service seems rare. read more

I came for the first time and I really like how my gel pedi came out. the lady trimmed them so well no cuts and the guy who painted them did awesome. I wish I could give them a full 5 which led me to give a 3 because for their gel pedi cost me 47! Was a bit over price! I want to come back but Idk if it's worth the price. I hope they read it and lower the price a little for the gel. Other than that they did a good job and I'll keep searching! read more

I ended up not getting my nails done here, but am reviewing just the shop itself. When I walked in, I was hit with a really strong smell of acetone. I realize that comes with the territory, but there are many alternative places I would prefer just based on the smell and visual cleanliness alone. Sorry, but I don't want to sit for an hour smelling those fumes! read more

I went in for a pedicure and I think they have one of the best values in town. I was a walk in and like their friendly service. My pedicure felt just as luxurious as places that charge more. The decor is basic ;-) but for an affordable option, I think they are great. read more

Great pedicures with extras if you like. Clean and comfortable salon with friendly people working there.

My nails were fabulous! It was sooo inexpensive and they did SUCH an amazing job. And I've been to 3 other nail salons on that street and we walked out of all 3, but this one was THE BEST! All 3 of us were really pleased. read more
