A towel-heavy load may need another 10 minutes for maximum fluffy joy. This is a laundromat that uses pre-paid cards, which initially confused me (as so much here does), and the nice man stepped in to straighten me out. You need a dollar bill to start and some cash to put on the card. DON'T PANIC at $4.09 for a wash in a double-load machine. The price includes 30 minutes of drying time, and it's unlikely you'll need more than 30 minutes. If you're taking out some clothes to drip dry, you will love these washing machines, as the clothes come out of the wash really thoroughly drained of water. As ambiance goes, it's on the utilitarian side, but it's not like you're settling in for a long stay (and it's still nicer than the nicest 'mat I ever went to in Phoenix). There is generous parking by East Rock standards. Be alert if you're parking: this place is on a corner lot, so occasionally aggressive drivers use the parking lot as a shortcut to skip the light when making a right turn. You may want to flip them off, but you don't want to back into them. This will be my go-to laundromat on the days when the most daunting aspect of doing laundry is devoting time to it. Then...you can finally use the washers. Then... when you get to the dryers, you use the card again. The first laundry machine took my money off the card but failed to turn on. The attendant fixed it. But then the beverage machine ate more of my money. I was so frustrated at that point, I didn't even ask for the money back. Now, I'm stuck with this stupid card with a $12 balance that I can only use... you got it... at this laundry mat. If this process wasn't so convoluted I might actually recommend this place.

The owner's son carried them in for me :) which was a nice plus. These rugs were very soiled, I have 4 little dogs and two cats. Every time they come in the house they drag the outside in and they are in and out all day! The service was fast and the owner is very pleasant. I'm glad I found them. My rugs look like new!

Well, I will not not allow the the pandemic stop a local business from flourishing, so here's my honest review: I really thought the service here was great and Dedra is incredibly friendly and thorough. The drop off prices are competitive with the surrounding East Rock Laundromats and they even do pick up and drop off service to New Haven and Hamden. They take apple pay/touch free payments and are easily accessible by phone or text. GIve them a shot, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Additionally, I quickly learned it was a convenient place for dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up; right off I-91 North exit 6, and back on I-91 South to where I was living in City Point. Dry cleaning isn't done on premises, but if you're ok with that they do a fine job. Whoever does the dry cleaning does well with the basics and clothes are clean and pressed inside plastic coverings until you get them. I never used the washers there, but the place seemed clean and pleasant overall.

As a patron, if you don't want to be subjected to such negativity, I'd advise taking your business elsewhere. ​The first time I came, I received horrible service. The second time (10/26/26 around 10 AM), I was denied service completely because of my service dog, who was fully vested. The door has a "No Pets" sign on it, and she stated she "didn't like dogs." Before this escalated, I asked to speak with a higher-up, but she just sat down to continue watching a show on her phone instead of doing her job, and threatened to call the cops. She was bluffing, so I called the non-emergency police line myself to educate her on ADA rights and federal law. ​When the police showed up, she conveniently changed her tone to state it was never about my service dog, but that she had a problem with me in the past. She claimed I was the 10th person she had banned but failed to provide the police with any documentation. It was a deliberate lie to cover up her discrimination. ​They deal with a lot of unhoused people because 'Chapel on the Green' helps the community by paying for a card service here. That doesn't mean you can treat your patrons just any kind of way--doing your job is required no matter who paid for the service. Today, I reached back out to 'Laundry with Love,' the account that sponsors Bulldog Laundromat. They claim they indeed know about this persistent issue and have addressed it with the owner in the past. I was just trying to get my laundry done. If this is not addressed expeditiously, I will formally file an ADA complaint against the business through the Department of Justice's civil rights portal.

So I went to Dee's and the attendant advise me what size machines to put him into to wash and dry him properly. The laundromat was nice, clean, roomy, cozy and of course warm. So I found a corner and put in the machine and camped out for awhile. The machines accept credit cards and coins which is great. The process was so simple and easy and my stuffed draft stopper came out PERFECTLY CLEAN AND DRY. For my 1st time going to Dee's I truly recommend them. This was was nice and the staff was very helpful. Bud is thankful for the wonderful cleaning and treatment from Dee's.

Literally Ive come here every weekend for the last 2 years. If this place had any bad qualities that I found unacceptable I would not still be going here. There are brand new machines. As well as the dryers. Which are so fast for a dollar you could dry a 15 lb 20 lb load. Now I don't know about the negative reviews. So what... the front desk is old carpentry. I'm not here to look at linoleum or formica. I'm here to get my clothes washed. If you want to get ripped off by somebody with a smile on their face go up the street to bubble and squeak. They'll charge you for hot water and give you cold. I'm very particular about quality of service, I'll tell a crooked business owner to his face that he's a crook. But not here, I'm satisfied. The people making you pay rip off prices to do laundry are too lazy and cheap to have staff present. One time I was using the dryer 15 minutes before closing time (which constantly changes to earlier hours) and the employee told me she wanted to go home and close. I still had 15 minutes before the place was supposed to close. The no bathrooms for customer is HUGE. No respect for the customers they are ripping off.
