Communication between Jarrett and his team including the service tech and secretary was so sporadic. They started by looking at our home for possible mold remediation issues and the tech who came to our home said we could do it ourselves but told us he had to call his boss Jarrett and he shared a lot of things we did not need done. Unfortunately the two other companies we reached out to for mold remediation were not helpful so we moved forward with Protech but once our insurance was involved everything changed. The price changed and the communication was horrible. Jarrett even emailed the claims adjuster saying that "I was calm now" because he spoke with me when really the insurance could barely get a hold of him or his company to get information either. He was so unprofessional. His secretary was very kind and when I refused to speak with Jarrett over the phone she did not push me almost like she understood and this wasn't the first time that had happened. The work they finally did took forever and they left the large fans in our home for almost a week instead of overnight then charged us extra for it. The piece was so inflated and the work was bare minimum. We even decided to have a different construction company finish the job and close the holes Protech made to remediate the mold. I know it is hard to find a good company to trust for help with mold but this definitely isn't the one.

Hired Jackson abatement to remove popcorn ceiling in three rooms. They missed some popcorn ceiling…read moreasbestos under one light fixture during their abatement. They removed the light fixtures in the two other rooms, but somehow failed to remove the light fixture in the third. We thought that by the fixture still being up, that they had ensured there was no popcorn ceiling underneath it. We were wrong. A few days later, the ceiling refinisher discovered it when it was time to reskim the ceilings and he removed the fixture. The drywaller unfortunately dry scraped it off before I could stop him. I am extremely unhappy as we hired Jackson Abatement to handle the removal professionally so there was no risk to my family or young son of asbestos exposure. In hindsight, they failed and my family and son was still exposed to the asbestos that we were trying so hard to avoid. Rich did try to make it right eventually, but only with me pushing for resolution. A day or two after discovery, he provided a negative air machine and removed any remaining popcorn ceiling that was in the junction box. He also paid for air clearance testing which passed after three days of running the negative air machine. Both of these were because I requested/ pushed for it, they were not readily offered. Bothers me knowing that I paid multiple grand to have the asbestos in my home professionally removed so that there was no risk to my family. Due to their negligence, we were still exposed. Nothing I can do now, and I know nothing will likely come of it health wise, but I hate knowing my 7 month old son was exposed because of a failure on this company. Hoping they learned and do better for other families and customers.
