Installation went perfectly by courteous and professional installers. Tropical storm Isaiah just came through with 70 mph winds. We are on a corner and winds are amplified and house bears the brunt. Multiple trees and wires down all over Long Beach. NO DAMAGE at all to the awning or frame. A representative from Rainbow stopped by to see if everything was ok (without being asked to). In 2004, I needed a small awning over a back porch at a different home, and because of my previous experiences, I called them to do that install. Each time, I was completely satisfied with their work, installers and pricing. It may or may not make a difference to anyone reading this review that I have done a bit of contracting work as a "house-flipper", so have both a fair amount of knowledge and understanding of contractors. While this does not describe my experience with Metro, sometimes contractors drop the ball...they respond slowly or fail to call back. I generally give someone a 2nd chance, but after that...I move along. I have had good experiences, and while I am sure there are other reputable awning companies out there, I see no reason to "re-invent the wheel" and try some unknown entity when it comes to awnings in the future. As a matter of fact, I just referred them to a roofing contractor friend, which is what brought me to their site and prompted this review.

Our 12 year old roof was leaking. Arnie first had one of his workers come over to check the roof…read moreout. That person gave me preliminary findings and showed me pictures of problem areas on the roof. Arnie came by another day to go over the requirements of what would be needed to install a new roof, his credentials and the guarantees offered. He then provided me an estimate that night. A few days later, his workers came, tore off the old roof, put new plywood throughout the whole roof, lined the roof and then shingled it. They had almost the whole roof done in a day, but did need a little time the next morning to finish up (which Arnie previously told me might happen). The workers were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and worked hard. They left the property very clean. A few days after the new roof was installed, we had a few days of very heavy rain and the roof did great. I would highly recommend Arnie Blake for roofing. I would bet that his company's work in other areas are just as good.
