There's no sign outside indicating that this is the tour company. (It's the bottom floor of the building.) But it's ok, the prices are great. We were going to book a Diamondhead tour but the employee suggested that we just take the bus over there to save money, which was really nice of her. We appreciated her honesty. We've come here for our tours/attractions for the past few years now. (It's a short walk from Kalakaua Ave.) Like I said, the staff is great. The ad is in bright yellow in the "What's On" Oahu booklet. Any three activities from $89.99 for the following: Grand Circle Island Tour (definitely recommended for all 1st timers- we did it), Sunset Dinner Cruise (did it 4x), Pearl Harbor & City Tour (did it), Society of Seven (saw it), Hanauma Bay Snorkel (did it- 4x), Parasailing (did it), Jet Ski, Waterfall Hiking (did it), for Germaine's Luau (add $17) (went to it). Ordered a travel package online and never got confirmation email but was charged for it. Called to double check it went through. The guy who answered was an absolute jerk. He stated that the tour did not exist and I was wrong. Any attempt I made to speak afterwards he interrupted and said "If you do your research you will find that I am right". After trying four times to speak he hung up on me. Called back and got different guy. He stated that the tour did not exist as well. Well. Day before the tour was supposed to happen they charged me again for it and I finally got a confirmation email and phone call to confirm my details. I talked to their Customer Service again and they stated that yes the tour did exist and I was on it but they only charged me once and refused to give me my money back for the second charge. Ended up full on canceling the tour and had to get my bank to do a chargeback in the card to get my money back. Will absolutely never reccomend them to anyone. I hope no one ever has to deal with their supposed customer service as it is some of the worst I ever experienced. read more

We spent half the day looking for the best deal for parasail. All the tourist magazines say $20, $30, $40, etc. Depending on how high they take you but there are hidden fees so add an additional $10 to everything you see. We went with Hawaii tour & travels cuz they have the best prices for parasail at 600ft BUT what they don't tell you is your time in the air is only for 5 minutes! They advertise a 2 hour adventure and you only get 5 minutes in the air. The rest of the time is spent getting there, instructions, boat ride to the sail spot etc. Kids had fun but a disappointment and not worth $37 (advertised $28.99). 1 star for cheapest price 1 star for kids having fun 1 star because the guy was pleasant read more

I came here based on the two positive Yelp reviews. My experience was not as positive. The lady behind the desk was polite, but certainly not friendly. She told us about two different circle island tours. She told us the shorter one returned at 4:30 and that was $28 (not the advertised $19). The longer one returned at 6:30 and that was $54. She kept pushing us to do the more expensive tour, but I had a bad feeling about it and we wanted to be back at our hotel in time for a luau at 5:30PM. We booked the shorter, cheaper tour for Sunday. We also booked a snorkeling tour for Monday. She booked both of our tours for the same day! Luckily I caught it and she corrected this. I found this to be pretty careless, but people make mistakes. I am really glad I happened to catch her mistake, since I was chatting with my hubby at the time and wasn't really paying attention to her. The real problem is that the two separate tours she told us about was really one tour. All the people that upgraded, get dropped off at one place while the cheaper tour goes somewhere else. I am soooo happy we did not upgrade, as people came aboard pissed they paid extra for crap. I felt relieved that I listened to my gut and not that ladies hard sale. She flat our lied to us. Since we had a combined tour, we did not get back to our hotel till after 6:30!!! We were told we would be back at 4:30. We told our driver and he informed us he had some issues with this travel agency. Luckily he was pretty cool and we had a decent time, but I would never use this agency again. Luckily, the hubby and I had yet to purchase the luau tickets since we were not sure how tired we would be post Island tour. If we wasted $100+, I would have been livid. BTW-People literally left our tour livid and got dropped off at the public bus stop to return to their hotel. The hubby and I could not wait to get dropped off back at our hotel. Skip the circle island tour and relax on the beach! The only reason they are not getting 1 star is because the tour people did show up. read more

The coupon book's price can be a little misleading because they don't include tax in the advertised price, but it's still cheaper than most of the other tours without the bull crap. I called two days ago to book a Pearl Harbour/city tour from a pamphlet, which indicated the tour I wanted was from 0830 to 1330. I called once to query the tour, and a second time to book. Both times, the agent advised that pick-up was at 0845. My wife was listening as I made the booking. I requested a payment receipt and confirmation of details (in case this was a scam) by email. I got the confirmation, but no receipt. Last night, I checked my email and found the pick-up time was listed as 0735-0745 (much earlier than was booked on the phone. I checked the website and Facebook; no tours were listed as beginning earlier than 0830. I called both numbers for this business (3 times); no one answered, as the business does not even open until 0800. Based on all these factors, I assumed what the agent told me (twice) was correct, and what was written in the email was wrong. While eating breakfast, I got a call from a driver at 0745, asking where I was. I explained we were just finishing breakfast, and that there had been some confusion. He could not wait, and I agreed to take it up with the office. I called the office promptly at 0800. I got the same agent as made my booking. He was immediately smug, arrogant and rude. I explained to him, tersely, that I would not accept this. This was a matter of clear miscommunication. He offered me a tour on Monday, but we could not attend as we are leaving that day. He then told me I would not be getting a refund. This individual knows he made a mistake in quoting times to me that were incorrect. He acted like an arrogant buffoon, and demonstrated absolutely no customer service or human interpersonal skills whatsoever. If you value customer service and want to be treated with even a modicum of respect and decency, stay away from these folks! read more

I was also skeptical when I arrived at their office and would be easy to miss. Luckily Google Maps helped me find this place. We booked the Majestic Circle Island tour. The lady behind the counter told us that if we paid cash, the cost would be $2 cheaper. We paid, but was short a few dollars. She told us that it was okay and we could pay the driver. The Tour: Pick up was nearby at the back of the Hyatt. It was chaotic as MANY other tour buses stopped there for pick up. Our bus arrived at 8:30 am and we were off at 8:55 am. We were supposed to leave at 8:40, but one no-show delayed us. Our driver was a nice older Samoan man. He called himself 'Cousin A' and called us all 'Cousin B' - made it really easy to acknowledge him. During the tour, he made the trip fun by joking around with us cousins. He address us with 'Hey, cousin...' at each point of interest. The day that we went was a downer. It rained most of the day and visibility was low. We saw a lot of beaches along the way, but mountains were 'white-outs'. The major stopping points, our driver allowed us to stop 10-15 mins for pictures and snacks. Lunch was not provided, but our driver brought us to a shrimp place along the highway. Fresh shrimp out of a styrofoam container. The tour ended at 4:30pm. Cousin Eric was a great tour guide, he made us feel like ohana and also called everyone on board "cousin". He made sure that everyone was comfortable. Good tour for the price, about $45 with tax included. He took us to this local spot where we could see the turtles, best part of the tour since most tour buses only drive by. He also took us to Fumi's Shrimp Farm, which i actually like better than Giovanni's. Definitely got my money's worth. Highly recommend! read more

My family went on the Grand Circle Island Tour today and I can't speak more highly of our experience. I don't think you could beat this trip, especially for the price (about $45 including tax). You stop at many major spots all over the island with great photo opportunities and just overall beautiful locations. Our driver Brian (or Cousin B as he calls himself) was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable, humorous and made the tour unforgettable. Also, even from our first phone call to reserve our spot we were only treated with the greatest care and the man who helped us sign up was very upbeat and made the scheduling hassle free. Used these guys on a recent trip (December '13) to Oahu. After spending hours planning our trip to Oahu back in February, it was nice to have someone else figure things out. We were looking for tours and came to Hawaii tour and Travel and found they were a lot cheaper than other tours. So we have tried a couple of tours through them. All went perfect!! Crystal was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed everything. If you book with them make sure to take combo's to save a lot more. The least was the Hanauma bay with Nelson diving. Hanauma Bay is beautiful, but because of a lot of things we only had one hour left there, which was a shame. But that was not the fault of the touroperator. After getting back from our trip I would say that i am very pleased that I purchased all of our tours with them. Their tours were super affordable and were the best price around. they only give a few bucks off if you pay in cash but every dollar counts when on family vacation. Majestic Grand Circle tour, cousin B was very good and we learned a lot and we stopped at all of the locations listed. The Pearl Harbor tour was probably the worse. It wasnt the location it was the tour guide. He was the worse i wish i could have remembered his name. He had a bad attitude in the early morning and it was the most boring tour guide i have ever had the whole trip. Paradise Cove tour guide Cousin Tusi he was the best. He was loud and fun and that luau was definitely worth the money. The Polynesian Cultural Center we also loved our tour guide was awesome but we did have to pay and extra $25 for buffet lunch and tour guide on top of what we already paid with the tour company but all in all it was worth it. Ali'i Catamaran Cruise was so much fun, the food was good and the entertainers really got you off of your feet. I would recommend this company to anyone. there was a cheaper stand that offered super cheap tours but i didnt trust that place. Glad we went with Hawaii Tours and Travel. read more

I agreed with the other yelper, this place does charge more than the advertised price. We went here because we got the flyer on the street advertising some of the tours, however when we called for the actual price, everything was more expensive. None the less the price was still cheaper than what other places were offering...They give discount when we pay by cash, and $1 discount if we book 3 or more tour...that's right $1....anyway, over all it was good. The tours we got from them were cheaper than from places around the area, the service was pretty friendly...the receptionist was helpful. read more

GAYS BEWARE Went with my boyfriend, got excellent service and spent 500$, at the end the blond lady that was more knowledgeable made remarks about Queens beach and how men who like men or queens go there and was disgusted, not realizing me and my bf were gay. No doubt about it, this is the best one stop place to go to fully enjoy your Hawaii experience. I came here and dealt with Wendy Baker who is absolutely amazing in terms of kindness and helpfulness; both her and Crystal made my experience easy and affordable. My girlfriend and I did the parasailing, jet skis, Polynesian Cultural Center and Kualoa Ranch for a very fair price compared to other companies... the staff here really went out of their way to make our vacation easy and fun. They DON'T have an easy job, from what I've observed it takes a lot of patience to do their job so the mere fact that they handled such a crazy workload and provided great customer service shows just how awesome they are. We booked the "around the island tour" in their office at 135 Uluniu Ave, not far from our hotel. The pickup was just nearby next Tuesday morning, transportation was on time. Our driver was David, an older man who had, many good stories, very interesting. Having lived in Hawaii all his life David skilfully described, not only the present but the past, He had a wealth of knowledge which he related all day, keeping us well entertained and informed. We also attended the evening show, Rock-A-Hula which we thoroughly enjoyed, especially the Michael Jackson impersonator and the local hula dancers and fire entertainer. read more

PROS: PRICE. one of the lowest prices (after comparing with other "lowest priced" tour companies in Honolulu) for tour packages in Hawaii.....and I did my research on comparing the apples to apples!! CONS: 1) MISLEADING "Teaser Rates": their advertised price in "101 Things to Do" brochures you see all over Hawaii is nowhere near the price they give you over the phone (i.e. the Circle Island Tour was quoted to start "From $18"....when I called, they said it is $28/pp; same for Maui one day tour which they quoted to start "From $185"--wrong! Try adding another $100 to that. Despite the teaser rates they quote, they were still the lowest price I've found!) 2) MISINFORMATION: they either are playing dumb, or blatantly lying when it comes to certain things. For example, the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) show/dinner/IMAX film package I purchased for me and my mom did NOT come with IMAX film because....the IMAX theater at the PCC has been CLOSED FOR RENOVATION the past 3 months! I asked the staff at PCC when it open, and she told me not until around SUMMER 2012! I was upset to have paid for something I wasn't going to get (not that I'm a film buff or anything, but I am sure most can understand about not getting their money's worth). Also, we got the WORST seats for the "HA: Breath of Life" show...nosebleed "row V" seats through this company. We were alerted in the beginning of the show by the PCC that, for a fee, we can immediately upgrade to better seats.....wow, what a gimmick....they purposely sell you the furthest seats possible and then once you get there and realize how far your seats are (there were areas that had entire middle rows VACANT), they pull the "for a fee, you can get closer seats" trick. No thanks. What a horrible way to do business (I am more upset with PCC than Hawaii Tours about this one!). This will be the FIRST and LAST Luau/show I will ever go to at PCC. I am taking my friends and family to Paradise Cove, going forward. Unfortunately, I booked a PCC + Maui one day Hana Adventure tour for my mom at the same time.....so I am stuck with this tour company. I will have to ask my mom when she returns from the trip what she thought of the Maui one day tour. To be continued.... Price-wise, I would rate them a "3+", but since I felt they weren't honest about a lot of things, I am giving them a "2" for my rating. The price for our tour was advertised in multiple publications/flyers as $12.99 per person. The actual price? $17.50 per person. There were no discounts available children, or for a child with a disability who will not participate in activities/need rental equipment. The snorkeling equipment was sub-standard with over half of it being leaky/unusable for snorkeling. The driver did show up on time, and was pleasant, which was good, however, did not wait until the kids were buckled before moving the vehicle suddenly. For what the tour cost us, we could have bought snorkel gear and taken the city bus, which goes right to Hanauma Bay. read more

My family of 5 took the Grand Circle Island Tour on July 13, 2017. This was a complete disappointment. The driver and guide is Domino. He is old, unfriendly, and narrates in repetitive, monotonous voice. 1) He narrates but drives fast so we could not associate the scenery with his narration. He says it and you look, its gone with the wind. 2) The company seems to have a partnership with the lunch destination. It is the only establishment, no choices but shrimp. We passed the other tour buses in a location where there are more restaurants to choose from. We spent less than an hour for lunch at this place 3) There were people on the same bus that went for a hike in Waimea Valley, but seven of us were not, so we were supposed to go to the beach. So we dropped off the hikers, waited until the driver has taken them to the hiking start point - about 10 minutes. The hikers were supposed to be done in one (1) hour. Then the driver was supposed to take us to two beaches but we said no to the first one, so we went to the Waimea Beach park. The driver told us half hour. This was cutting our time to less than what the hikers have, since we did not stop at the first beach. We were back at the bus in 25 minutes as the driver came looking and rushing us. We are very sorry that we booked this tour with this company! Anyone who wants to do this tour, go with another company, ask where the lunch stop is and if there is more than one restaurant in that stop for choices, and keep abreast of the times allotted for your money. Our first time to beautiful Hawaii. Booking thru Hawaii Tour & Travels rather than the hotels will save you a lot of money. We booked several tours through them and were very happy with each one we were able to go on. However, due to an illness that required hospitalization, we were not able to go on all that we had scheduled and there is a "no refund" policy so we could not get our money back. But with that being said, we had also scheduled an island hopping tour which was quite expensive with the airline costs - Crystal worked very hard to get some of our airfare refunded. They will charge fees if you change your mind. They claim that they have a cancellation fee, but they never inform you at front of such as fee that equals the whole amount of the trip or activity.
