False alarm. This time I hired them for a gutter cleaning, which they did a superior job. Those gutters hadn't been cleaning in at least a decade and now they are virtually spotless. Although I would say Rain Solutions are great for a removal or new install for gutters, they fall short in the following areas. 1. Looking for more work than requested. They wanted to add gutters to my garage and suggested all new gutters to the whole house to replace the old 4" gutters. 2. Did not do a ground clean up after they were finished. We called the owner, who was present to take pre and post pictures of the gutters, and he said he wanted to show the debris areas to his workers, but we had already cleaned up our property. This means he had to have seen the condition of the cleaning debris if he was present taking post picture of the completed work. I'm familiar with this pattern of work practices. It wasn't just a "hey, sometime in the future, you might want to replace these gutters, they're looking a bit rough." This was a "hey you need this and that and new this and that, here's a quote in addition to the cleaning if you'd like us to do that." I can't stand crews that don't clean the mess that they made. I'm not expecting the house to be washed down, but there shouldn't be scattered dirt, "sand" and moldy leaves all over the sidewalks, hedges, trees and patio furniture. And I won't tolerate flat out lying when the owner was present during completion of the work. But if you're not bothered by being upsold and feel that crews shouldn't clean up after themselves caused by their work, and have the income to not be bugged by this, then I highly recommend this company. After spending several very long and frustrating months trying to find a licensed contractor to re-install my downspout for a reasonable price, Arnold, the owner of Rain Solutions responded to my Yelp project requesting pricing and availability. There were several other companies that responded in a timely manner as well as one vendor who has continually made excuses why he is unable to schedule me as of this review. Arnold was very quick to respond at first though the Yelp project messaging. I sent him some photos of the MIA downspout that was never securely fastened by our landscape company that renovated our backyard's drainage system and was recently torn away from the rain gutter system during a very windy storm. Arnold was able to give me a price quote and a date and time when he would come out to re-install the downspout. Before his scheduled visit, I also texted him some additional photos of the two downspouts that were included in our aluminum patio cover installation: I asked him if he could think of a solution to eliminate the temporary diverters with something more permanent. As the photos indicate, I had to add some cheap, plastic downspout diverters to prevent the water splashing everywhere on our patio. Arnold arrived punctually on the date and time we agreed upon. Arnold is very personable and honest guy. He re-installed and secured my downspout in less than 5 minutes. We then discussed my options for the patio cover downspouts and reached a reasonable solution with a very reasonable price which also included re-installing my MIA downspout. Because it was the Holidays, and both of us were very busy, we agreed he would re-schedule another date and time, once he ordered the correct parts to correct my two patio cover downspouts. Arnold returned on the morning of Jan 01 with an employee, Gary. Gary was equally friendly and both started working on the project. They were done in about an hour. Both are very neat and left no construction remnants on the job site. My wife and I are very happy with all of the work completed by Arnold and Rain Solutions. We had Arnold come to fix our front gutter a few years ago, and it is still holding up beautifully. We just asked him to fix the back gutters today. Due to a poor design of our roof, the original gutters were sagging and falling off. I had just had my house painted before my gutters were installed, and they left dirty fingerprints all over the fresh white eaves. I was already doing some touch up painting that day, so I cleaned them myself, but I was not pleased. Fast forward almost 3 months and I notice a dent/crack in my front window shudder. I had just previously fixed those shutters (per the HOA's request) and they received a fresh paint of coat 2 weeks prior to the gutter install. Immediately when I found the dent I looked back at the pictures I took the day of gutter install and the dent was present. I attempted to reach out and texted the owners daughter since that was the last person I had spoken with. Zero response after a week. I finally called the owners daughter since himself and left a message and he called me back and proceeds to gaslight me. He says it "looks like it was hit with a ball" and refuses responsibility unless I was able to find the exact moment of impact in the 15 minutes of security camera footage I had. I contacted this vendor about a month ago. Three vendors in total came out for rain gutter installation estimates. Arnold was able to come out 11/5 and emailed me an estimate on seamless gutters/downspouts two days later. It was a quick, but professional visit, which took about 25 minutes. Arnold gave me the color options to choose from, but also gave me his suggestion, which helped. He explained the process, answered my questions and I could tell he knew his stuff! I had the option to pay by check or pay cash. He offered a discount for paying in cash, which was awesome! His quote was quite a bit lower than the other vendors so it was an obvious choice. Some of the neighbors in my community also used his services and they were well pleased, which encouraged us to also use his services. After I emailed back the contract Arnold called to verify the appointment date. He also called the day before to confirm the time he'd be arriving.
