Needed our AC serviced before the summer heat hit us. Called them Monday morning looking to set something up later in the day, or later in the week. Asked me to call back when I got off work and so I did. Called at about 2:15 and was able to get a technician out to our house about 45 minutes later. Said everything was working just fine, only thing he noticed was the amperage was high as it started up and began to run, recommended a booster for it. I needed a complete change out of my HVAC system including the ductwork. After comparing prices with 3 companies, including one big-name store with incentives and rebates, Rain or Shine beat their prices by a few thousand dollars for a quality system. Beto and his crew were considerate, respectful and helpful. They got the complete job done in one day, and the system has been working great. Months later on a hot Saturday, the air conditioner stopped. Beto made time to get over and check on the problem the same day. It turns out the filter was clogged (and I thought I changed the filter often enough, but it was really dirty), which froze the system. All that was needed was a new filter. Beto did not even charge for a service call. I also had Rain and Shine change out my hot water heater, and do a HVAC tune up and cleaning service for my other house. Again, they gave better prices than the big store and a local small business. The work was done efficiently, and courteously. Later, I looked for maintenance personnel from other manufacturers. The reason is that they replaced the 75-volt transformer with a 40-volt transformer. Feel like we've been duped! Called Rain or Shine for service on a Thursday and said if we can wait for service on heater for Sat., he would waive his house call fee of $65. So he came on Sat. and did a general clean up, vacuuming and adjusted a sensor. Said nothing else seemed to be wrong. He charged us more than double the amount of the house call.. we just think he told us he was waiving the house call fee and in fact just overcharged on the call to make up for the supposedly waive of the house call. read more

A tech from Rain Or shine came to Service my AC but he didn't follow any type of service procedures. The next day the fan on the AC stop spinning and I called to get them to come back, the first time the tech Brian was here he checked for voltage ONLY and proceeded to inform us that the unit needed to be REPLACED . I as a customer would NEVER hire this company again . I got a second companies opinion and they said my unit was still good changed some parts and its perfect now. Do your research well before spending your money on a company like Rain Or Shine Heating Plumbing and air conditioning. They wanted proof of my service with the other company to REFUND my money. They Had two opportunities to be HONEST and the tech still said the same on the second visit, they even email us estimates to change the UNIT, they even told us how long they would take to do the service so they were determine to CONTINUE with the LIE. PLEASE DON'T HESITATE to get a second opinion if you hire this company. Do not get ripped off get another estimate . I only ended up paying $500 vs $5,000. Don't pay thousands you don't have to. Instead of trying to talk me into a new system, the technician worked to get my existing system to work and it works great. I went on vacation and when I returned I heard a rattling noise. I called the company and they came out the next morning again! He found the source of the rattle- something had gotten into the blower. He removed it, fixed it and they did not even charge me! This place charged me 300 dollars for a 25 or less thermostat that stop working 2 years after. They said it has a lifetime warranty on it but i will have to pay 65 dollar service call. They said the labor is covered so is the thermostat. Then they said they will wave the service call but if they find that it needs something else that they will not wave the sevice call. They originally charged me 370 the first time to look at it and it was cause they suggested i needed a new thermostat that i had it replaced i just didn't know they were going to install the cheapest one they have. Called to have someone come and look at my AC to make sure it was working properly and they had a technician out the following morning. The technician was great! Gave me so much knowledge on my current AC and is working on getting me quotes for a new AC (as my AC is outdated). Best part, when talking about a new AC, he asked what my main concern was (electric bill) and he did not try upselling me at all and recommended a newer model similar to mine... I was very appreciative to that as AC are so costly and was worried. While he was here, since he understands an AC is an expensive cost, he suggested to clean my current AC and gave me a new filter until I can get a new one it will be an improvement. He was fast (done in an hour) and such a help. Overall, they were great! I also had called a competitor before my visit and their prices for an initial visit was also less expensive. Would recommend this company to anyone!
