GREAT FOOD! Good service. Lots of variety -- food and beers. They offer foods you will love and generous portions.

My first experience a few weeks ago with Rail Trail was takeout gluten free flatbread which was due to a cousin with dietary needs. I feel bad for her if this is what gluten free pizza tastes like which is cardboard. I stopped by again tonight with my husband. The restaurant was quite busy, but our wait was only 5 minutes or so. Our waitperson 'Nikki' was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We ordered Buffalo IPA Wings with ranch and blue cheese dressing. We also split the Carnitas tacos. The wings were served hot and nicely seasoned. The dressings tasted fresh and homemade. The tacos were delicious! Pork was tender and perfectly paired with jalapeño, radishes, and seasoning on two flour tortillas. We'll definitely be back for the tots, mac-n-cheese, and a non-gluten free flatbread. read more

Small, busy festive atmosphere. Food is good, not great and the menu is too limited. When I order an add on to a pizza I expect to get a fair amount of it, this isn't that place for sure. If you add chicken you have to search for it. Overall I like this place, but it could be very very good and it isn't. I would recommend it, but it needs improvement IMO. read more

This place is the best. The Goat Pizza is to die for, the bar service is spectacular ( props to Nicole and Mark), the atmosphere is great, and the drink and cocktail menu is great. I found nothing wrong with this place for real. You need to come here if you're in the area. read more

The food at The Rail Trail wasn't bad. I'd rate this restaurant more of a 3.5 Star. We had the sesame calamari as an appetizer which wasn't bad. It had sesame on top (of course) seasoned with a sweet sauce which was unique--wasn't bad. The cilantro gave it a burst of flavor if you like cilantro. Also consist of jalapeño but it wasn't spicy at all. The Hawaiian Pizza consist of pineapple, pulled pork, and caramelized onion which was pretty good but lacked the pineapple. Will probably try something else next time. It was a pretty cool place to chill and enjoy some craft beers with good company. The environment is very lively. Absolutely incredible 1st experience at Rail Trail! It was our wedding anniversary and we took our 2 daughters to celebrate! They were so accommodating, made us feel right at home. The manager Mike Brooks came and said hello at the end of the night and let us know he shared the same anniversary with us! Same day same year! What are the odds. Went here on a Sunday night with a group of 5. Olivia our server was amazing. She was on top of everything and offered a real relaxed and pleasant vibe. I can't stand Mayo- based sauces and this came on the Asian chicken, chicken bacon ranch, and elote pizza. It's too much with the cheese. Favorite pizza was spanikopita! Loved the dill addition here. Prior to COVID's this was an awesome and very good place to eat. But the last two times I been this year have to awful. Tonight we order the chicken parm bowl which we had prior year and it was very good. This time it had the skin on the chicken and it was not like crispy skin in was like uncooked skin that should of been taken off. This turn my stomach so my whole dinner was ruined couldn't eat after that. Also services has been very very slow and seems like it takes hours to eat and pay to Leave. Not sure I will be back. Rail Trail is an absolute gem in Hudson! Me and my boyfriend stumbled upon it for brunch one day and then had to go back for dinner. We got the homemade mozzarella sticks (sooo cheesy) and lemon caper brussel sprouts as appetizers. Both were delicious! I had a half basil pesto and half Mexican street corn pizza. The basil pesto was great, but the Mexican street corn pizza was outstanding. Additionally, the cocktails are wonderful, I love the lavender room martini. Highly recommend! read more

My friend brought me to her fave place and she was so excited to share her joy with me. We did not have a reservation, but arrived on the early side (5pm on a Thursday.) This place was jammed by 6pm. Fun, casual atmosphere. Cocktail list was fun and the server was fantastic with suggestions. We shared the beet salad, which they graciously put on two plates for us. Delicious. We also shared the spanakopita pizza and it was more than plenty for two people. Staff was pleasant and patient with specials requests. My boyfriend's family and I were in the area and needed to grab some grub after spending some time at a nearby farm (social distance outdoors hang out). I happened upon Rail Trail due to recommendations from a coworker who went to the same farm a few weeks prior. At the time of us going, which was back during the summer (yes, I'm aware of the extremely late review - it's been busy), they were allowing for indoor seating, so it definitely stressed me out, but they were taking everyone's temps prior to entering the restaurant, which was good. We ordered a bunch of different pizzas and brought them over to my boyfriend's brother's house to eat. We ordered the following: - Mac N Cheese - Fig & Walnut Flatbread - Melizana Flatbread - Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread - Mozzarella Sticks: Delicious! - Truffle Feta Fries: Delicious! - Mexican Street Corn Flatbread: Delicious! I, unfortunately, didn't have the opportunity to try everything we ordered since we ordered for other people, but the things we did eat were great! It was so hard not to eat it all in the car instead of waiting to bring it to their house! If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely consider getting food here again. Sat on the outdoor patio (no alcohol allowed outside though) for weekday dinner. Service was quick and the food was, for the most part, delicious. Lots of beers to accompany your meal. Highly recommend the eggplant couscous small plate (The Muse). The calamari was standard, but the remoulade was really good. The Korean BBQ pizza is a miss but the Fig & Walnut one is quite good. I ordered two salads for take out from Rail Trail and had a great experience! I needed to make sure the order was non dairy and the website did allow for me to make those restrictions known. It was very nice of the restaurant to call me to explain the beet salad dressing did have dairy in it and they let me choose another non dairy dressing option. I thought that was extremely thoughtful of them to confirm with me. The salads were really big and had a great amount of veggies and all the toppings. They were delicious I have heard the flatbreads are amazing too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to go back and get another salad and try a flatbread! read more

The flatbread here is just so good! The Mexican street corn flatbread is a must try. The flavors in that flatbread were incredible. For those who are a big fan of lamb then I would recommend the lamb jam...but again only if you really like lamb. The drinks were also tasty and well presented. read more

Phenomenal food, slow surly service. Ingredients are top notch and although I've raised an eyebrow, all combinations have been outstandingly tasty! If the food wasn't of the quality it is there is no way I'd keep going back. Disclaimer - I've never dined at the restaurant, I've only done take out. So this is not review of table service Food is never done at the appointed time and staff are slow movers - even when it IS done they walk around, ignoring the bag. No one seems cheerful, they all appear downtrodden. Getting utensils and condiments (salt) takes hyper effort. We always tip a of minimum of 25% (more for smaller orders) but one of these days.... I only hope some of the tip money goes to the BACK of the house. They are the ones who deserve it. read more

Pizza was excellent, drinks were tasty, other stuff not so much. Sizing of drinks was unexpected; for the tiki drink, there was a drawing of a tall tiki glass, but it actually came in a short coupe. The key lime pie trifle was tasty and interesting, but the cream was over-whipped so it was greasy, and the deconstructed crust bits on top were somewhat dry. Could probably have used some cake or something to cut the grease, and a graham cracker deconstructed crust would definitely have been better. Kabob Curry was OK, especially with the pineapple in there, but there wasn't nearly enough curry sauce to coat the veggies and rice, much less the added falafel which I had to eat uncurried. I always appreciate places that non-alcoholic drinks, though I didn't try any, because I'm a bit underwhelmed by fruit juices and soda mixed together. What I really wanted was a milkshake. They have the ice cream from New City Microcreamery across the street, but not the milkshakes. read more

Delicious flatbreads!!!! We got the fig and olive with prosciutto which was amazing! Great vegetarian option without the prosciutto. We also ordered the steak and cheese which was a little bland. For appetizers, we ordered the Brussels sprouts and bacon which had some unexpected mayo but still pretty good. The fried calamari was probably the best with its honey kick! Rail Trail has it all. The best flatbreads around in my opinion. Buffalo Chicken is my number one. This is my second time that I've been there. I previously ordered the Mexican Street corn flatbread which is another favorite of mine. The Hawaiian has slow braised pork that was addicting. The boneless tenders are the way to go for an app. Great scene-- would love to go back and explore the craft beer list more. This is one of the best places to hang out in Metro West area. Restaurant has friendly vibe. Covid proofing is very well done. They have lot of street parking in that area. This restaurant offers wide variety of beer menu and non alcoholic beverages. I tried Brewdog non alcoholic beer here which was fabulous. It is coffee based beer. It was a fun drink. This place offers amazing flatbread as in the name of the restaurant. I loved cheesy potato flatbread. This thin crust and wood fired flatbread is delicious. My second favorite is Mexican street corn flatbread. It has sweet corn and house made queso topping. It is super tasty. All in all it's an amazing place to have delightful evening. read more

Went to Rail Trail for Mother's Day this morning and was so disappointed, not only in their very limited Mother's Day menu but also the service. I've been before so I know how good it can be. First off, coffee is served with 2 disposable creams, so if by any chance you want more cream than that, you have to wait to flag down the waitress and bother her for more. If you forget to ask for creams, as one of our party did, her coffee was cold before she ever got her cream. Wouldn't a small bowl of creamers make more sense? I got the huge pancakes which were pretty tasty, but again, they served them with this tiny amount of syrup and butter in small containers. It was nowhere near enough for pancakes of this size and thickness. This made the pancakes so dry and disappointing. Why are these things being so limited?? They can't add that much to the costs, especially for $13 pancakes! The teens got chocolate milk but were never offered refills. We only got more coffee and two more creams once we asked. I really like this restaurant but I have to say, they came off looking really stingy this morning. read more

I have been here many times over the years, over all probably my favorite place to go. they swap their menu seasonally which i like, there's always something new to pick from and it doesn't get boring. food is always good, atmosphere is always good. I have moved out of the immediate area and don't get the chance to go as often any longer. my son picked this place recently for his birthday, I haven't been in maybe 1-2 years, and as always the pizza I chose was amazing. the only reason i cant give 5 stars for this particular visit, the one thing that has stayed on their menu for years is their "hot tot's" this time they were a bit too mushy on the inside, and the consistency was more like mashed potato's then an actual tater tot. im hoping they just had an off night. read more

what can I say this is the best flatbread anywhere. The whole staff and the entire restaurant is top of the line. Awesome! There can be a bit of a wait at time so just make sure you get there early or do a reservation. The flatbread and all of the food there is completely worth the weight. They go above and beyond for customer service, and satisfaction. They are in downtown Hudson, Massachusetts, which is just a fabulous little town of restaurants and shops. You will not be disappointed if you eat at the rail trail. It's just mouthwateringly good! we eat there probably two or three times a week and we have never been disappointed. The management really cares about the customers experience and the ambience. There is really wonderful. It's got that local family vibe going on. It was cold, had barely any cheese, was mostly burnt around the edges, and had barely any toppings.
