We had the best experience at Raffield Tire-Master! Our 45' 5th wheel had a flat tire that would not hold air and we could not get it off the rim due to lugs getting stuck. We called them and Ashley Holman, the Assistant manager said to come right over. The mechanic - AJ could not have been nice and had a heck of time getting that tire off only to find the axle was cracked! Luckily we had a spare and he put it on. He must have been working on this for an hour at least. When we went to pay the bill Ashley said there was no charge and they were happy to help out a traveler! Headed to Florida on vacation and my Honda Odyssey gave me a warning message of issues with "Charging System." I had to pull off at the next exit to figure out what the problem was. Advance Auto diagnosed alternator and suggested Raffield for repair. It was just on the other side of the highway. I called for a price quote after already browsing their website for available tire brands. The man on the phone first criticized the brand I asked about, then proceeded to tell me that my price range would only afford me tire brands that are "trash". These are brands that the shop sells. He proceeded to say that he does not think he will have anything in my price range that he's "willing to sell." It was a mind-blowing conversation. I found the exact tires I wanted, within the exact price range with a 60-month warranty and a mail-in rebate of $70. So, it all worked out for me, but this place needs to get it together! I appreciate this location beyond measure!!! Before a long trip, I checked the tires, and one was showing metal on the inside. Since my vehicle has an odd tire size, I knew it was going to be an issue. I called everywhere, at least 20 places, including the dealer. The assistant manager, Tallon at the Peake Road location took it upon himself to track down a tire for me, go pick it up, and get it installed on the same day. Tallon, you are a prince among men!!! Thank you so much!!! Though I live a good ways away, I will be sure to make this my tire store. I went to the 7020 Peake road location in Macon Ga 31210 to get a oil change and was spoken to so harshly, by the store manager R Russell. This all transpired over 5 dollar discount. I have been a loyal customer for 3 years and always received the same discount for my oil change service. Today was the 1st time I experienced an issue with my discount being applied. The store manager seemed to be annoyed that the discounts were being applied and rudely advised me this would be my last time getting the discount and they had previously been applied in error. I felt as though he was being confrontational and told me my business was unwanted he was bold enough to provide me with the contact information for Corporate. I immediately went to the corporate office and spoke to Chip. Chip was a member of the HR department; he photocopied my receipt and gave me his business card he looked me in the eye and told me that behavior from Russell was "not like him" which made me feel as though he was calling me a liar. read more

While traveling thru town, my car broke down at a nearby rest area. Raffield was recommended by the night manager at a local hotel and the tow truck driver. When the shop opened, I spoke to Adam, an assistant manager who was very helpful over the phone. Adam ended up handling the situation with my car and everything was great, the car was running and there were no repairs needed. Point being, they could have charged me for something but Adam was honest. He was very patient with me and explained everything to me. I highly recommend this place. There's a large framed article hanging on the wall in the lobby here, an interview with the owner extolling the virtues of customer service, family values and service to the community. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!! 3 hours from home, 40 minutes to closing and a hole in our radiator hose. They wouldn't even look at it! Just told us they were very sorry that they were getting ready to close. Seriously, it would've taken them all of 5-10 minutes to fix this and they were too ready to go home to actually assist someone. Where's that community service now? Family values? Is this how you'd treat your family? We were basically just told that it was tough sh*t, they were ready for their weekend to start. Hell, we offered them extra money, tried to offer money to one of the techs to do it after hours. We actually had to go to the Lowe's behind this place to buy some duct tape to try and patch this hole so we could get 5 minutes down the road to the Advance Auto so we could replace the damn hose ourselves. I am still hot about this one. Had Lowe's not been there, had Advance not been there we would've just been screwed. read more

The worst service in the universe at the Raffield Tire Peake Rd in Macon GA location! Don't even stop there for anything and waste your time. I had my front right oxygen sensor supposedly repaired and paid cash. I honestly do declare that my Mercedes GL450 was absolutely not making any unusual noise period, when I dropped my car off on 12/31/2021 again "no noise" before I left my Benz GL450 there that morning. The same afternoon around 5pm when I picked up my SUV immediately when I started it up I heard a LOUD NOISE like a loud grinding noise. I had two Master Mechanics diagnose the cause. Now I am definitely suing for the damages in court because they are not professional or accountable and have caused expensive damaged my SUV! Also all the scams too deny this and the many lies told by their employees is way too much for any consumer to deal with. The truth and fact remains is that their mechanic caused this Compressor Pump, Right Front Air Strut and the Valve Suspension issue with the LOUD NOISE and it cost $2,500. to repair additional plus diagnostics and the court fees, etc. Somebody call Judge Mathis, for this to be exposed to the world of honest consumers that need to know the honest truth about how quickly a company can take your money, car and damage it then deny the truth and cause another dissatisfied customer to reveal their horrific experience in hopes to help someone about to make the same mistake to trust them with their transportation. I know I am not the ONLY customer who has had a terrible experience with Raffield Tire Masters in Macon, GA and I look forward to seeing them in court soon. I recently had two tires fall apart on me after I hit the curb, needed a tow. I met Lee at the desk who made me believe I needed to replace all 4 tires, he's real sketchy , will try and take advantage if you are a woman, tell you he is giving u a "great deal" and your car just won't work well otherwise. He must have a commission or something cause he was pretty aggressive ,then gave me attitude and wouldn't check if I had a cooling fluid leak. Everyone else was super super nice at the front desk. The prices are the same as going to a dealership. So why not go where the mechanics are better trained? I take my personal vehicles to the dealership. My work vehicle on the other hand has a service contract. And that means I have spent many an afternoon wondering why Raffield employees move in slow motion. They are very slow. I only go there because of my employer provided vehicle requires it in some instances. Other times, I can literally drive from the Macon area to Milledgeville, get the oil changed, tires rotated and the vehicle washed, and drive back in the same amount of time it takes Raffield on Tom Hill to change the oil. read more

Wayne and another manager are great and I kept giving them second changes, but if they're not around its amateur hour with sketchy substitutes. After many years and numerous repeated complaints mainly about dirt/grease not cleaned up or vehicle settings changed, I just can't go back. The last straw was my PASSENGER seat reclined as far as it would go which damaged my stored sunshade. I can't figure out if they're using Good Vocation employees (which is unfair to Goodwill) or it's the Howard HS first year automotive students (which is unfair to Howard HS). I try not to be "that customer" who's so picky, nothing is every correct, but EVERY time I pick up my vehicle, I find issues, just to name a few, such as: vehicle unlocked, greasy hand prints everywhere, radio on a different station blaring at a high volume, or AC blasting. Raffield has high prices, so I'm done with additional spending to clean or replace damage. read more
