My pet peeve is restaurants that try and compensate for mediocre food by giving you a lot of it. My chicken salad tasted like it was cooked under a radiator. They did give me 6 refills on diet cokes and extra chips with my queso. But why was queso on the menu in a chophouse anyway? read more

Service was outstanding! I had not ate at a Rafferty's in several years but they did not disappoint! The salad with the hot bacon honey mustard dressing was the best salad I have had Ina long time! I have wondered why there are hardly any cars in their parking lot these days. Well, tonight me and some of my friends found out why. There were 6 of us and everybody had something wrong. The ones that got fries were served burnt, hard fries. Two people got the Kona chicken. It was burnt. One was burnt on both sides and the other was burnt on one side. Of course, they tried to cover it up with the cheese. The last person ordered a bowl of potato soup. It looked horrible. It was so thick it looked like 5 day old gravy that had been sitting out the whole time. No way will we ever return to this Rafferty's! read more

A small group(5) arrived just as they opened on Friday. The same older lady hostess had been there for years. Never a greeting or a smile(can't see now, with mask on) she said" follow me" then was going to seat us right inside the door, we said, no we didn't want right by the door. We usually sit towards the back. She then proceeded to take us to the very back right by the kitchen door! Mind you the place is empty...we then seating ourselves where we usually sit, she glared and walked off. That left bad taste in my mouth, she never smiles of greets anyone, why is she there. Our wonderful waitress, said that is just the way she is....No, more Rafferty's and rudeness to ruin my day...the next birthday celebration...will be a The Cork & Clever...always a nice welcome there, with warm atmosphere! Rafferty's is typically ok but never great. They seem to be struggling to find an identity with changes to the menu over the last few months and the addition of several TVs. I can't say I've ever had a bad experience here but I'm still waiting to really be wowed. Parking is always a little annoying too. read more

I hate to even give one star because we had such bad service and the food was not fit to eat. My salmon was over cooked burnt! My boyfriend's steak was bloody. We will never ever go back to this place. I can't even remember being treated or serviced such horrible food in so long that we still can't believe it cost us over $60.00 and we paid it. I hate to ever complain but rafferty's will never have to worry we about us complaining as we will never go back. I tell everyone what a horrible meal. The server finally showed up to give us our check noticed that we hadn't hardly touched our food ask if we wanted a to-go box all we said was we were ready for our check. After walking out of a restaurant right before walking into this one (see previous review) we were very happy to be greeted immediately and then sat. Our waitress(Ashley) showed up right after the hostess left and got our drinks to the table quickly. Our meals came very quickly as well. When the manager heard us mention yelp, he came right to the table to see if everything was OK. We had a great meal with wonderful service! Way to go guys! read more

Got food poisoning from here! Ordered broccoli pasta, that's one of only a couple vegetarian dishes, and the broccoli came out brown. That should have tipped me off. Haven't been back since, still feel nauseous when I think of it. Be warned. read more

Had not been here in years as the parking is a problem. Again, the 3 handicap spots were filled, but none of them had ramp access anyway. Ended up parking diagonal across 2 slots so I would have room to let the ramp down and get the electric wheelchair out. I was going to park on the other side of the restaurant, but the wind was too cold to travel in a wheelchair to the only ADA cut. The cut is steep and the sidewalk is narrow so I nearly tipped over trying to keep from ending up in the bushes. The outer door is not handicap friendly. Once I got inside, the staff was very friendly and helpful, opening the inner door and re-arranging the table to accommodate our party of 6. They also changed one of the tv channels to the tennis game for our mother who was in a manual wheelchair. Luckily, I was on the end of the table lit by sunlight from the lobby windows so I could read my menu. I thought the prices were high for lunch. My lunch was described as 2 croissants, signature chicken salad and cup of soup for $9.49. This is what I generally pay for dinner. Serving size was very disappointing. Very small cup of seafood gumbo, two very small undercooked croissants, and a small heap of chicken salad. I had planned to make a sandwich with the croissants, but they were too small and doughy. It was noon on Saturday yet there were several empty parking spaces. The quality has slipped, probably due to competition further up Green River Rd from several new restaurants that have opened in the past 2 years. read more

This is a favorite place of mine when I want a delicious salad, baked potato or soup. I'm sure their other offerings are great too but I pretty much only ever want their house salad and one of their awesome soups or a baked potato. All of these are top notch here. In my opinion they have the best chicken tenders around but my conscience won't let me order those so I have to steal from others. But they are seriously the best. And whoever developed the hot bacon honey mustard dressing is a genius without a doubt. Last time I had the hoppin john and it was fabulous. Raffertys used to serve quality food. Through the years it has declined to the point where I am afraid to eat there. The last dinner I had started with watered down salad dressing, the salad was brown and limp. The ribs were small and at least 2 days old. If this was the only time I experienced this poor quality I would not write this negetive review but it has been my experience over the last 3 dinners. It was my last. Suggest Chilies they are always consistant and quality food. read more

Wish I could have given 0 stars! Service took forever (almost an hour and a half), food was luke-warm at best (the parts of our meals that we actually got and that was correct anyways), and they dropped stuff on members of our party 2 different times. read more

Walking by the restaurant you could smell how terrific it is. Great chicken sandwich and very attentive servers.

I just visited Raffertys for the first time tonight service was great bartender was very full with business when we sat down and yet she got to us very quickly. We had the chicken salads and they were outstanding with the bacon honey mustard dressing!!! The bar seemed to clear out before we got done with our dinner and then the manager came up to the bar walked by us without a smile then went to the bartender who was working very hard to yell at her not sure what it was about but was very rude, and not something I wanted to hear while having dinner. The bartender handled it way more professional then the manager did she continued to do her job. Then when we walked out he didn't even say thanks for coming in or have a good night. Your management shouldn't treat the employees this way!!! read more

Shocked and disappointed , ordered tilapia blackened and a bake potato , fish was dryed out and had dry powdered seasoning poured all over it , baked potatoe was not fully cooked , needless to say couldn't even eat fish or potatoe , should have asked for the manager , instead just paid and got out of there read more

The food and service were both below expectations. I've always heard good things about the place so I decided to stop in. My salmon was way overcooked and my girlfriend's Alfredo looked like somebody dumped a cup of oil on it. The prices are also steep for the amount of food you get. Sunday, 2/15/15, my niece invited my sister and I to join her and her children for dinner at 2:00 in the afternoon. When the waitress approached the table she was very rude. After order of drinks my sister asked her if they still served warm bread while waiting for food. The waitress loudly said to her " are you trying to be funny." The experience went down hill from there. Very unprofessional actions from her, but we tried to make the best of the situation. Our food arrived an hour and a half later, including seating time. My niece asked us not to say anything.The manager brought the food, and was just as rude and could care less if we were satisfied or not. When we asked about the food, she did not care. And my niece did not get her soup with her meal, and she and her daughters salad with chicken strips was not fit to eat, and they did not eat it. By that time they had given up on anyone there caring if they were satisfied or not. And she spent close to $100. on the meal. But we have all decided that they will not longer get our service. I don't know what has happened to this restaurant, but they are not what they used to be. read more
