We have heard so many nice things about this winery and it was a very good experience. We were greeted by Sarah (I think), who was trying to herd cats because the place was so busy. We had reservations and it was good we did. We decided on a flight of red wines which were good but came away with a sparkling wine.

Big beautiful castle of a winery in the middle of yadkinville. It was very busy this weekend so the staff was a bit frazzled but they were so friendly and accommodating. It was a little cold for us to have our flights outside so they were kind enough to seat us inside and we really appreciated it. The owner even gave us a free round of a beautiful Moscato while we waited for our table which was a nice touch. You can pick different flights, one that was their reserves, one that was all their reds and one that included white wines. Their red wines were good but just a little underwhelming for us but I can't say they were bad. Their whites were delicious. Their Moscato was amazing though, crisp and dry and not so sweet. Our family who was with us bought us a bottle which we'll savor this summer. The place though being massive, didn't have much furniture or decor inside...just big halls to taste wine. It seemed to lack something inside and didn't match its outdoor grandness. The vineyard was beautiful though and worth a trip. I'd say put it on your list and judge the wines yourselves. Wine is very personal.

Stunning property with delicious dry Italian wines. Great place to relax enjoy the scenery of vineyards and mountains while sipping on great wine.

The winery has beautiful artichecture. You can see a glimpse of the mountains as well. Currently, they have seating outdoors only. They do have a large tent outside with only four propane heaters centered in the middle at their fountain. So couldn't feel the heat at our table located at the periphery of the tent. It was very chilly (39 degree weather) at our table, so recommend bringing blankets or bundle up. It was very busy and loud. We came on a Wednesday afternoon, about 2:00 p.m. the week after Christmas. Luckily, they had a table for two available. All the other 15 tables are for larger groups 4+. They had extra seating for a large group on their balcony with heaters. The menu included flights of either non red ($17), red ($20) or mixed ($17) and bottles. Each flight had four options and was served in a cute tier stand. One of the staff that took our order forgot about our order so we waited over 10 minutes before he realized that. He also forgot what we ordered so he had to ask us again. He gave us a discount in the end, which was nice of him to do. The red white had 2018 Bella misto, SPQR, Montepulciano Riserva, and II Falco. We liked SPQR and Montepulciano Riserva the most out of the 4. Recommend bringing your own bread or crackers for palate cleansers. When you're ready to check out, you go to the "front" inside the tent to pay. No pets allowed.

Raffaldini is a beautiful, beautiful location, only an hour and a half outside of Charlotte. Tastings are offered on a covered upstairs balcony or under a tents on the first level. There are also picnic tables with a direct view of the vineyard. You are allowed to bring your own food but no outside alcohol is allowed. There are food trucks on the weekend (check the schedule on their website). The vineyard also has charcuterie plates, crackers with dip, and other snacks available for purchase. Side note: Drinking is not a requirement. I didn't drink just enjoyed the views and peaceful environment.

Raffaldini was such an enjoyable experience. When planning this tour, there was a lot of communication with Jesse, the event planner. She was such a joy to connect with and provided great details and options for our large party. When we arrived, although it was misty rain we had a chance to talk a few pictures outside before getting wet. The grapes we're huge, and the vines looked beautiful with the mountains in the background. Walking into Raffaldini, the staff immediately greeted us and provided everyone with instructions on what they preferred for their tasting time. The team was super patient and helpful. We had people upstairs, downstairs, outside and in the vineyards lol. We took over Raffaldini lol. During my tasting, the two women we had were so nice and knowledgable about the wines. They even provided us with a little more with the ones we liked. Once everyone finished their tasting, we grabbed food from the food truck available on site. The wraps were delicious, and I think everyone enjoyed them at my party. The only thing I wish we could have done more of was to take photos. Mother nature took over that portion of the tour. Thank you, Raffaldini for a memorable birthday experience.

The scenery is great. Did a wine tasting and sat outside and drank a bottle. The wines were very good, but seemed to be a little more pricier for a winery. They have a great patio area. Probably the best part was relaxing having a glass of wine while viewing the mountains in the background

Let me start with the service from Alexa, who was friendly and attentive the entire visit…read more Secondly I want to speak to the pizza we had there which was absolutely delicious, a bacon and brie pizza. Made in a wood fire oven the crust and overall pizza was absolutely the top that I have had recently. The creek if you want to walk down to it was very nice as well. I guess Elkin Creek is on the muddy side, but still quaint and nice to look at as well. Now the wine, I was not blown away unfortunately and each, had a way of making me think I was tasting some type of Kombucha due to the spices used in them an a lingering flavor. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was that way through all of the six wines we tasted.

Lovely winery next to a large Creek. Alexa who assisted us was absolutely amazing and very sweet…read more Thank you Alexa for making our experience wonderful. Pizza that we ordered was delicious, with brie and bacon and the perfect thinness. It was quite large as well for $21 and we're still thinking about that pizza. But the wines, oh no, I never went to a winery where the wines tasted like they had a vinegar aftertaste. The only one we could stomach was the "soft white". We ordered a bottle of it to have with the Pizza and then walked around the premises to enjoy the creek. We're sad in our hearts that the wine just wasn't our taste, but if you want great wood fire pizza and a beautiful location, definitely come here.
