Went here for a wine tour the staff were very friendly and nice. My favorite was the Tinsel very flavorful. We also had the sharp cheddar cheese which was good-It was good but I like mine sharper. The grounds and lake with fountain was beautiful - Great for pictures!

Everyone who is looking for wine you have found the place. They have so many different options and intriguing flavors that you are bound to find one you love. The staff was so friendly and the view is amazing. They have a nice lake and huge fountain and wonderful wines. Shortcake - the wine tasted just like strawberries but it was a little to sweet for me. But if you like sweet you will love it. Dark Shadow - this is a MUST TRY. I bought this wine and wish I got more. Imagine you are in Willy wonka's chocolate factory. And then the Oompa Loompas push you in the chocolate. That is the dark shadow. It is so smooth and chocolate lovers must try it. Tangled oak select - this wine was a interesting flavor. I did not particularly like. You know when you were at recess in middle school and came in to drink water at the fountain and it tasted a little metallic and weird. That's what this wine tasted like to me and others I was with. Only wine I didn't enjoy here. Opulence - I enjoyed this wine but it is definitely a slap in the face of chocolate. Very intense flavor. If you like dark chocolate you will like this wine. Overall this place was amazing and the wines were so unique. I can not wait to go back here!

Beautiful winery with a great selection of wines. From the large, decorated tasting room you have a beautiful view of the lake, fountain, and vineyards. They have seating inside and outside. Although it was cold, we decided to take our wine tasting outside. We tasted their Tinsel, L'amour doux, Strawberry Shortcake, and Dark Shadow. The tinsel wine had a good flavor, but was not my favorite. The L'amour doux was very strong and sweet. My favorite was the strawberry shortcake. It has an amazing strawberry flavor with a balance of tartness and sweetness. We bought a bottle to take home. The dark shadow wine was interesting. I have not had a chocolate wine before so the flavor was new to me. It certainly was chocolatey. The tasting room is open during COVID-19. Masks are required and tables are socially distant. They also use disposable tasting cups. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend this winery to others!

Nice view from the patio.

The service was excellent as Tabitha greeted us with a smile and walked us through the tasting of 8 different wine. Really liked the selection both reds and whites. Went out to the patio to enjoy the wines and the excellent view. The prices are fair and the ambiance is warm and welcoming.

We did a couple wineries as part of my friends bachelorette party and I am so glad that Shadow Springs Vineyard was one of the wineries we choose. The property is really pretty, driving up you can already tell you are going to have a nice experience. The service was wonderful, all of the employees were very friendly, fun, and knowledgeable about the wines. There is both indoor and outdoor seating so no matter what the weather is like you can still enjoy your visit. We did a flight and I liked everything I tried. We also had a bottle of their champagne and it was surprisingly delicious. It was so good that I got another bottle to take home with me.

First of all, this vineyard is just around the corner from my favorite Amish store. My wife and I decided to try this place instead of the one that we normally go to when we do the hike to Carter falls and we were pleasantly surprised and glad that we did. The views here are amazing and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. You are more than welcome to bring your own food to bring your dog to just sit around and chill It's not your typical winery where they are snobbish and are just happy to have people there. We did get a bottle of their Cabernet Franc and it was very good and went along well with the sandwiches that we purchased from the Shiloh general store. Another bonus is that although they are a small North Carolina winery they don't feel the need to charge $40 per bottle. Our Cabernet Franc which was very good was only $22 and we will definitely be back.

Relaxation!!

Friendly, relaxing, comfortable and tasty. We enjoyed a small flight with four tasting. A great way to sample a variety of wines. My favorite was Opulence, a the chocolate port

We tried another new muscadine wine this weekend that was released in between our last visit - Plum Crazy - which is a red muscadine wine with plum and edible glitter! It was our favorite wine of the day in our wine flight. Wines We Love: Plum Crazy - Plum muscadine wine. White Sangria - Good fruity sweet wine, perfect for the summer! Crystal Dreams - Strawberry muscadine wine. Cherry Smash - I definitely get tart cherry, not as sweet as the other sweet wines they have, but still enjoyable. Summer Breeze - A nice light sweet white wine. Windsorberry - A nice light sweet blueberry wine. Apple Mead - Apples and cinnamon. Enjoyable, but I have to be in the mood for this one as it is not an everyday wine for me. Snow Cream - Vanilla muscadine wine. You can definitely taste the vanilla, but I really enjoyed sipping on this on a warm day. Another one I have to be in the mood for as it is not an everyday wine for me. Fortified Wines We Love: Midnight Run/Midnight Run Grand Reserve - You can definitely taste the difference in these and we prefer the Grand Reserve, but both are very good. Hillbilly Holiday Honey Moon (This has not been in rotation in awhile, so I'm not sure if it will be made again). They also offer great slushies which can be part of the wine flight. My husband did the distillery tour this time and he really enjoyed the background information plus the samples that he got to try. They give you tips for pairing as well. Service is always great when we come - they are dog friendly! Highly recommend this winery if you are in the area.

Owner-operator Nick sells his own brand of locally produced (the vineyard and winery is down the road) meads, varietal wines, and blends among and between the two with reasonably priced pours. There's plenty on tap and flights available for sampling along with some guest beers on draft and in bottles. Almost everything on tap can be bottled and taken to go, a nice touch for those who'd like to spread the word or offer a unique gift. There's an indoor, dog-friendly bar, an attached patio, and a large outdoor area with a cornhole set and a pit for a big, crackling fire. The combination of the beverage and the outdoor space around the pit is ideal for a chilly fall or winter night in NC. Local bands play the attached patio on weekends. There's parking in front. T-shirts and other swag available. The host, regulars, and travelers make for great conversation. Check it out if you're local or passing through, but make a reasonable detour even if you're not to this unique and engaging small business.

Made in a wood fire oven the crust and overall pizza was absolutely the top that I have had recently. The creek if you want to walk down to it was very nice as well. I guess Elkin Creek is on the muddy side, but still quaint and nice to look at as well. Now the wine, I was not blown away unfortunately and each, had a way of making me think I was tasting some type of Kombucha due to the spices used in them an a lingering flavor. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was that way through all of the six wines we tasted.

Pizza that we ordered was delicious, with brie and bacon and the perfect thinness. It was quite large as well for $21 and we're still thinking about that pizza. But the wines, oh no, I never went to a winery where the wines tasted like they had a vinegar aftertaste. The only one we could stomach was the "soft white". We ordered a bottle of it to have with the Pizza and then walked around the premises to enjoy the creek. We're sad in our hearts that the wine just wasn't our taste, but if you want great wood fire pizza and a beautiful location, definitely come here.
