I had an amazing weekend! I hosted a wine tour in Yadkin Valley and our first location was Dynamis Estate Wines. Dynamis Estate Wines is one of the most beautiful locations! The scenery is everything and more. Nothing like sipping wine in the mountains. The wine ambassador, Hope, was the perfect person to give us informative information on the vineyard and wines. She was super sweet, knowledgeable and so much fun! The group enjoyed her so much. We had a tasting of 5 wines, and the wines were luscious and complex. One of my favorites was the 2025 Rose. It's a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. If you would like to indulge in a nice afternoon or evening by sipping on some lovely wines with beautiful views, check out this place. 10/10 recommend! It's my favorite time of the year , vineyard season is here ! I sat up a girls day trip to this semi new fabulous vineyard about a hour and 20 minutes from Charlotte . So I have had the same favorite vineyard in North Carolina for years and that's Raffaldini but I must say this vineyard is giving them a run for their money ! They are very close in proximity as well . The vibes , the ambiance of the estate with the glorious pool out back and view did it for me ! It's a must to experience the Dynamis van that rides you around the different vineyards & estates . This vineyard is easily my top 5 now & I'll be back ! read more

Love an afternoon at Dynamis Estate Wines when you are looking for a slightly more luxurious relaxing wine tasting. We have been members of the wine club for a couple years now and have throughly enjoyed every time we have stopped in there. This weekend we stopped in between visiting a few other vineyards in the area and it is a nice change to just be able to relax and they will take care of everything for you. The staff is always super knowledgeable and will do whatever they can to make sure you enjoy your time there! Since the time we first joined the wine club they have expanded their wine offerings and now even have small bites to order with the wine. I think this will really help them in the long run as at first the wine menu was not the most broad, with mostly Bordeaux blend reds. I would say now there is something for most people to enjoy on the menu, personally my favorite it the Omega, a red blend using all five Bordeaux varietals. I would certainly suggest Dynamis to anyone visiting wineries in the area, and we will continue to go back and be able to support this winery trying to do something a little different compared to most of the others in the area. read more

This will be a three-part review of Dynamis Winery in Jonesville, North Carolina. One evening, while having dinner with friends, they told us about this great winery. Our anniversary was coming up, so I scheduled a weekend of a tasting for Saturday and their monthly family dinner for Sunday. https://www.dynamisestatewines.com/reserve-a-tasting/ Dynamis is on the top of the mountain in Jamesville, NC, about a 35-minute drive from Winston Salem off I-77. The owner bought the mountain, which comprises 192 acres of vineyards, 5 acres of apple orchards, and 1 acre of a peach orchard. The drive to the top of the mountain is beautiful and the setting once you get to the top for the tasting is breathtaking. The hill is the highest point in Yadkin Valley, and you can see for miles around. Our friends said that this is the only winery where they joined the "Wine Club". Reservations are required. The wines we tasted were exceptional. We ordered a charcuterie plate to go along with our wine tasting. Since I was driving, we had a single tasting, which my wife and I shared. All the wines that we tasted were wonderful. The staff is very attentive without being overbearing. Since the day was very warm, we sat inside but were still able to enjoy the beautiful view. The weather was beautiful, and again we were able to take in the gorgeous view. The "Suppers" are prepared by visiting chefs. Our meal was very good and a great ending to our Anniversary Weekend. The price was $50 a plate, and wine and dessert (peach ice cream), were an additional charge. We ordered one of the rosé wines that we had tried the day before. We suggest starting your experience with a tasting (please note when making your reservation). On October 27th, the Sunday Supper with Damascus Culinary Concepts will be Beef Bourguignon (Beef Short Rib Braised in Dynamis Estate's 2019 "The Mountain") with Baby Carrots, Pearl Onions, Forest Mushrooms, Bacon Lardons. Like our friends, we also joined the wine club. There are two levels: quarterly, there is a three-bottle selection and a six-bottle selection. Dynamis selects the wines and vintages. The staff informed us that our wines would be available on September 7 and could be picked up at a party at the owner's home at the top of the mountain. When we got to the party, we were greeted by the staff like we were members of their family. We were also treated to one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen. I have included some pictures. The home is a beautiful stone and wood house, with a magnificent swimming pool, waterfall, and a shooting fire. The home was stunning, and the view of Yadkin Valley from the top of the mountain was spectacular. We had a lovely experience! Stopped in for an afternoon tasting and am so glad we did! There were two options for tasting, the vineyard flight, which is self-guided, and the estate tasting, which we selected. The estate flight gives slightly greater pours, and is guided by an expert, which was a fun touch. The building is beautiful, and they have indoor and outdoor seating - you may share a room with another group, though you'll have your own dedicated space - with firepits/place burning. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and attentive, as well as knowledgeable about the different wines. There's also a membership option, which grants access to various events and discounts. It's definitely something to look into if you're in the area (we live just a bit too far). This estate is also near to a few other wineries, so you can definitely make a day of it. Reservations are recommended, and when you arrive, you'll be buzzed through a gate. Then you get to drive through the vineyard, which is pretty, even in the winter! Dynamis sits on top of the highest peaks in Yadkin County. After a 2.5 mile drive onto the estate, a drive in which you pass orchards, vineyards, bee hives, and forests, you'll arrive at the tasting house, a converted lodge for the former workers of the estate. The grounds are immaculate and peaceful with ample shade and seating around the tasting lodge. The wine flights are expensive at $55 ($45 without a guide) for five wines. The wines and the personalized experience, however, make the cost worth it. They currently offer one white (a delicious French-style Sauvignon Blanc) and four reds (merlot, cab sauv, and two blends--alpha and The Mountain). The reds were all delicious, but the price tags are a little prohibitive for enjoying a bottle on site other than the cheapest offerings (Sauv Blanc-$35 and Merlot-$50). My personal favorite was The Mountain, but the cab sauv varietal was pretty awesome, too). Overall, the business is open by appointment only at the moment, and they're aimed at offering a luxury wine experience. The people are terrific. The overall effect is a success early on, but only time will tell if the strategy is sustainable in the comparatively cheap Yadkin Valley. For what it's worth, I'm a believer and joined the wine club to support the growth of wine, not location, culture in the area. read more

I'm literally in the car writing this review directly after leaving from visiting this winery (07/12/25). My fiance and I visit many wineries in many different states around the world. In my opinion, this is by far the worst winery we've ever visited. They don't create an experience, the waiter didn't know anything about the wines (including the alcohol content). We ordered bread and they brought out largely cut bread with one tiny serving of oil & vinegar mixture to share. If it's more than one person, why wouldn't you bring two servings of oil/vinegar (if it's tiny) or cut the bread in small portions to avoid double dipping? It was not enough oil for the bread presented. You don't have the ability to upgrade to a tour when you realize their tasting is nothing more than sitting at a table in a tiny unappealing room, with no view and nowhere to walk to enjoy the scenery. I hated the entire experience and we waisted our time and gas traveling over 2 hours to get here. If I had to give a pointed to guests, I'd say, "save your money and go ANYWHERE ELSE than here." The reviews online are all lies and I read a lot of them before booking a reservation. I'm so disappointed! To think, we came here to celebrate an anniversary. We ended up leaving and going to a winery called Childress. Dynamis Estate is Horrible, low class, and an uneducated winery. I will NOT EVER RETURN HERE "EVER" AGAIN! So I agree with with Mike P.'s review. Gorgeous views of the Cab plot for sure. The facility is clean and inviting. All tastings are by appointment and are "Napa" style. This means you sit down with tasting glasses in front of you and you are educated by a member of their staff. The tasting pours are very good (as they should be). If you want to try something again they will gladly pour you more. The tasting is an educational experience a thousand times better than what you get in most of all the other wineries in North Carolina (and Virginia) as well. Their mission is to become the "Opus One" of North Carolina. It remains to be seen whether or not that will occur. It is, however an awesome goal - why not try to be the best. While I was told that they use new French Oak barrels every year and they have the same machinery that Napa's Opus One uses, I'm just don't think most Carolinians are willing to fork out $125.00 for a Cab blend. It was a truly remarkable blend and had more tannins that I would expect for North Carolina but I do find it difficult to pay that amount as there are a lot of really good wines that could be purchased with that same amount of money from all over the world. I joined as well and will probably discontinue a couple of wine clubs from the west coast as I believe in supporting local businesses. Perhaps we can change the culture of wine drinking in this state. We shall see. Dynamis is one of 4 wineries in the Swan Creek AVA. You can easily make a day trip to visit all of them. Stop at Dynamis first, it's the best wine in my opinion, and go from there. Keep in mind you'll have to stand at a counter at every other winery. :-) read more

My wife and I had the pleasure recently of touring this winery. The experience exceeded our expectations. Our wine ambassador, Mellie , knew her wines and explained, to this novice, the steps of how the various wines are made. The knowledge she displayed was very much appreciated. The setting and views were spectacular. The entire staff was welcoming and not at all patronizing. If you want to enjoy a pleasant fall day learning and more importantly tasting nice wine I would strongly advocate making this a destination. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Did a private tasting for my birthday and had the lovely Jennie as our guide. The drive up to the tasting room is breathtaking and the lodge itself gives an instant feeling of relaxation and luxury. We loved all the wines and the charcuterie we ordered. The views were amazing and we even saw some baby deer come by while we were there. Do yourself a favor and get there before charlotte finds out about this place! read more
