We had come here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon at around 12:00 pm. We absolutely LOVED the food! I had ordered the Polenta Fritta ($16.00) to start, while my friend settled on the Frittura Di Pesce ($17.00). Both dishes came piping hot, with large servings, and tasting absolutely amazing! We were astonished at how delicious everything was, and that was just to start! We then both settled on the Classico Pizza ($22.00) for our mains, which was another wonderful dish. The pizza was MASSIVE, we weren't able to eat it all! There was loads of arugula and prosciutto on each slice, filling us up to the brim. Also, the pizza wasn't too thin for us to have difficulty eating it, it was just the right consistency. We were so impressed with the appetizers and mains, we knew that we had chosen a perfect place to dine. We then chose dessert, which included the Tiramisu, and Crème Brûlée, both of which were homemade, and tasted exquisite. We couldn't eat another bite, we were stuffed beyond belief! That was some of the best dessert that I have ever had; not too sweet, just the perfect taste to end off a wonderful meal. We were very impressed with how fresh, tasty, and large all of the food options were. We also loved the inviting atmosphere, with two patio options, both covered and decorated beautifully for our enjoyment. The service was top-notch, as our server was attentive, courteous, and friendly. I was impressed with how knowledgeable the servers were of all of the menu items, definitely admirable. I've been to many Italian restaurants in the past, and haven't had food this good in a long time, definitely excellent cooking by Raf, the head chef. I would highly recommend that you all give this place a try; authentic Italian food in an inviting atmosphere, filled with excellent service, which is sure to create epic memories for years to come. read more

Came here for my mother in laws birthday! Small restaurant when you look at it from the outside. Once you go in, the smallness of it isn't so bad as it feels really quaint and warm! Very European feel to it. The service was spectacular. I got the Divolo pizza... soooo good but so spicy! My husband had the gnocchi a la vodka. It was delicious!!! Fantastic Italian food, great atmosphere. Truly a must try! I have been to this restaurant several times now and I am blown away every time. The ingredients are fresh and flavourful, the menu is full of great dishes to choose from. The staff is quite friendly and the place's over all look is pretty and welcoming. One thing I have to recommend is the sangria. Wow, do they know what they are doing when it comes to those drinks. Clearly the owners and staff pride themselves on serving the best. Only thing I can suggest is to make sure to make a reservation, the place is small but because of how popular it is, you can imagine why it would fill up fast. Week nights, not so bad. Make sure to give this place a try if you are in Nobleton. You will not be disappointed. Shout out as well to the man behind the bar, I think he might be the owner and he always greets you and I've never seen him without a friendly smile, when you first walk in. As someone who dines out while entertaining clients typically 3 to 4 nights per week for the last 10 years, I have to say hands down this is in the top 3 for worst dining experiences ever. The staff and owner are inept when it comes to basic customer service and experience. One previous reviewer, Christina had mentioned that the staff seat people they know first versus those whom are waiting. While this did not happen to me, I did see this happen to guests that arrived later in the evening. The food is actually decent; specifically the pasta, which is a shame as you are forced to suffer with the rude staff and poor service. I would recommend you take your money elsewhere as there are many other establishments in the area at know how to treat their customers and provide a better value for your money. Food was delicious. People were friendly and the service was great. Ordered a pizza which was perfectly done. Espresso afterwards was top notch. We took a while to order and stayed for some time after we had paid for dinner. I have been here twice and will not return. Pros: friendly service, grilled fish was cooked perfectly, salad Cons: paying $8 for a bottle of water, the crab cakes ($11) are made with only imitation crab meat - that's right, no crab meat in the crab cakes, the sausage, peppers and polenta dish was made with pickled peppers (ie. they cheap out on ingredients as much as possible. Fresh peppers would have made the dish better) and overfilled the dish with a of rosemary. Gnocchi is uneventful. I would suggest to pickup some Italian dishes at any one of the hot tables at the local Italian bakeries. These dishes are tastier and cheaper. read more

This is a regular spot for me to dine. I must say I am not sure where all the negative review are coming from because I have been here almost 10 times and never once have I left unhappy. I have tried everything from their pastas right down to their awesome pizza. For all you with a sweet tooth the nutella pizza is a MUST. For all those with a big appetite try the truffle burger WOW its huge. By far my favourite thing on the menu has to be the seafood pasta great home made sauce and very generous with the amount of seafood. We had my birthday dinner there on March 5th and we were completely disappointed by the meal. My father had ordered a Rib steak and frankly we have never seen a Rib Steak on the bone cut so thin, calamari appetizer was a disappointment and the fish my husband and mother had was average . My pizza was good it but we all felt it was overpriced for what we received . Total bill was over $200 without alcohol .... Yikes.... sadly won't be going back there again. read more

Will not be returning. I came in on a Thursday night the place was packed. And they were seating people they knew, not people that waiting there first. My mother and I waited for almost an hour for a table and as soon as we sat down the waitress rushed to take our order we didn't even look at there menu yet. I ordered the seafood pasta dish, the seafood was fresh but the sauce was tasteless, it didn't have a seafood flavor at all, it's like there just pored tomato sauce on the pasta and mussels no flavor what so ever. Portions were very small for the price. Not a very good atmosphere we right by the door and the space was very tight. They should have just left tower burger there it was much better read more

We finally went to Raffaele's Cantina last night and I have to say, we were very impressed. We were a total of 6 people and we had 5 different dishes, with no complaints at all. My husband planned my birthday dinner for March 5th and frankly it was a complete disappointment ..... the steak my father ordered was close to $50 dollars and less than a 1/4 inch thick and more fat than anything else....Extremely expensive and mediocre service ... frankly a poor example of Italian food. Not impressed by the new menu. Did not even have what I ordered from the menu and it was an early dinner. Not likely they ran out of that one entree! Very pricey for the small size of portions. Only place I know that does not have refillable soft drinks at $3.00 a pop and served in a small skinny glass with lots of ice. Service was very slow. The food here was not bad but not fantastic. The service was mediocre. I would say some things are a bit over priced. They will gouge you on the coffee, which was a huge downfall. The waiter/waitress will offer you another cup, bring the coffee pot to your table and refill your old old cup, then charge $2.50 for that second cup! If you're going to charge for another cup of coffee, take the old cup away and give your customer a brand new cup from the kitchen. Pretty standard in the restaurant industry but they failed here for sure. The server also acted like we should have known we would be charged and made no attempt at an apology. If it wasn't for this I probably would have given 3 stars but this honestly put a bad taste in our mouths at the end of our meal. read more

I've heard stories from people who have had a negative experience here. Quite honestly, although service may not be the best, my boyfriend and I have always been treated well and served adequately. This restaurant is small, and yes, it's going to get busy quickly due to its size. I'm putting it out there right now - this place has better pasta AND calamari than Ice Cream Patio. I've tried the same pasta dishes at both establishments now (cheese sauce gnocchi ) and the one at Raffaele's blows anything else out of the water! FYI you can tell by the quality of the pasta that it is indeed homemade. read more

I was absolutely disgusted today with the service. I sent back my young daughters pasta and I heard the chef actually say to the waitress "wtf is her problem?" Disgusting!! Even the waitress said so. The owner, Lou just sat there and did nothing. I complained to him and he seemed like he didn't care. I spent the thousands of dollars there and to be treated like this?? The food at Raffaele's Cantina is just as good as any high-end Italian eatery. The food is fresh and flavourful. The prices are not excessive - in fact they are quite reasonable. There are few restaurants in King Township that offer high quality food at reasonable prices and Raffaele's is one of them - a welcomed new addition to the restaurant scene! Whole grilled fish, organic wines, filet mignon, rib eye steak with a cognac mushroom cream sauce, and some of the best house-made pillowy-soft potato gnocchi this side of the pond are just a hint of what you can expect to enjoy on any given evening at Raffaele's.
