Bs/md programs are expensive, a private school can cost $75k a year and times that by 7 or 8 years for bs/md program. So I do not recommend trying to skimp on the help your child needs to get into this type of competitive program. It's more than worth the money to hire a professional counselor to guide your child. My son was accepted to numerous bs/md programs and with scholarships too. We are thrilled.

Now that there is new management, we had hopes for families involved and were extremely disappointed to find out that a parent of a very talented School of Rock student received an email threatening enrollment because another student accused her of "blowing" at him. The student in question is very talented and has been a part of School of Rock for 5 years. There were no witnesses to this "blowing at," and it was not captured on camera. The complaining parent stated that the girl made her son uncomfortable because the accused student is on the Autism Spectrum. School of Rock could have used this moment to educate others about neurodiversity, but did not. FYI, School of Rock had no prior instances or concerns about the talented student prior to this one complaint

Before I set the record straight for the EKG course at this institute I would like to say Mrs…read more Melissa was very sweet and was only doing her job the best way she could. I don't hold her responsible for anything in this review. Now starting this program I was very excited and willing to put in the work required to pass the course and pass my exam. The course mostly went into depth on how to read an EKG, EKG strips and a bunch of vocabulary. I honestly thought I was prepared to take the CET Exam but I was not and I'm still not sure how I passed it. Out of 120 questions, there was maybe 20 questions about the stuff I learned in that course. Everything else I taught myself from taking random quizzes and studying on different websites. I would like to also say Erika Stubbs Green was very unorganized and honestly did not give me enough information about what the institute provides for students. I was lead to believe that if I passed the course with a 75% or higher I would be able to take my CET Exam at the Institute for FREE. NO ONE TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING EXTRA. I thought my $825 included more than what I received. Let me express $120 went into the application and background check. $825 went into a book and I suppose paying the instructor and keeping their lights on. Then $115 for my exam paid to NHA and if I wanted to take my test at the institute I would have to pay an extra $30. I feel like Eight Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars should have included: Uniform, Registration for the CET, The NHA Study Guide, A better book to learn from and at least a notebook with a pen or pencil. I wasted my money on self-teaching and a piece of paper. I would not recommend this course to anyone. I can't speak for the other courses but I really felt like I could have received better knowledge elsewhere. BTW Mrs. Erika could do better with the information she gives out and organizational skills. Considering she administer the test at the institute she could have already planned a date for EKG students to take the exam there after passing the course. When asking her when will the exam be she failed to have an answer and told me to take it at a PSI site then changed her mind and told me she will do it on a specific date (and deciding to tell me about the extra cost). When I ask about it the following week she forgot about it and said she has something going on and pushed the date back. At that point, I was just too fed up with her and the Institute. Don't waste money here. I really feel like the course was over priced anyways.

Which to me was also a cover up for the lack of teachers and students present at the school. I thought it was a off day the day of enrollment as there was only 2 kids but as my son continues to go he was not pleased and stated he had the Director who is also the babysitter of the other two kids at the center. I was completely misinformed of the type of education and environment my child would be in. Also the schools hrs of operation are stated 6:30am -6pm yet when my sons comes at 6:30am I'm advised he is early and doesn't get a snake because The director Venus is not reimbursed. I could not deal with the misinformation any longer. So not happy my baby begged to go to school only to be disappointed by someone eager for a booming new school!

But, to the educational value the school brought, they taught sign language to the infants and toddlers, they had STEAM, and STEM, foreign languages, early reading programs, outdoor play, full course meals and snacks and so much more. Sometimes people just feel the need to tear down what they can't control or abuse. It was a great school.
