I still remember our frustration over our daughter's struggle through her classes, especially in Math during her elementary school years. Even with the elementary school's after school tutoring, she was barely passing. Her mother and I knew things would only get more difficult in middle school, which led us to Mathnasium. The first day she came into the office, Kim guided her through the steps of a Math problem, and we all saw that she did understand; she just lacked the confidence to follow through. This little bit of hope is what convinced me that Mathnasium was the answer. By attending Mathnasium 2 or 3 times a week, our daughter significantly improved her grades not only in Math but in all her classes! After reviewing the website, reading a few reviews, and even looking at other tutoring options, I decided to reach out. I submitted the contact from on the website and received an email a few hours later which was great (talk about a prompt response). I scheduled a consult for the next day and received a call from Dr. Jackson who was the sweetest and gave me tons of info about the center along what my son would learn. Needless to say we started a few days after the initial consult and he did a 1 hour assessment with Dr. Jackson during his first session to establish areas of strengths and things that needed to be worked on. Afterwards she provided me with helpful information on where he stood and we discussed goals for him. Fast forward seven months and we couldn't be more happy with his progression in reading, writing, phonics, and reading comprehension. The staff at the center are simply wonderful.
