We had a fantastic experience with Academics Plus in getting an SSAT Flex test for my child. Due to…read moreCOVID, the SSAT has turned to an all online SSAT at home. We didn't think that would be the best approach for our child so I asked around about alternatives and was so happy to be referred to Academics Plus for a paper-based Flex test. Alexa with Academics Plus made the process very easy for me! After an online inquiry, she reached out with a phone call to explain their process and fees. I was able to schedule a test on my preferred date with no problems and Alexa kept in communication with me via email right up until test date to ensure I was aware of SSAT requirements, their COVID protocols, and generally able to answer any questions I had. Due to COVID, they are limiting entry into the facility at this time, so on the day of the test, I walked my 6th grader to the door and she met us there. She was very warm and made sure he was comfortable before they entered to go take the test. He was able to take the test in a private room and because there was nobody else in the room with him, he was able to unmask during the test, which made it a more comfortable experience for him. I have already recommended Academics Plus to friends but would want to share our positive experience with anyone looking for a paper-based SSAT option or generally needing a Flex test for the SSAT.

As soon as we arrived, he was matched with a tutor who is an Emory University volunteer. He had a wonderful session and experience. After he completed his tutoring session he was able to play a board game with his peers. He really enjoyed that. I sat and talked to the two founders of this organizatiom who are two nice gentleman that seem to genuinely want toake a difference. I've sent multiple emails to her regarding work assignments for my kids, some of which never receive a response and the others receive snarky responses once she's prompted to respond to the second email request. A big thanks to the Haven Learning Center in Snellville. Ms. Denise and her staff have done a great job with my little cousins Kaden and Kai, but now she's also doing a phenomenal job with my very own daughter! Earlier in the year my daughter tested on sight words and got 13/70 memorized. Today I'm proud to say that with the help of Ms. Denise and her team, she conquered 51/70 sight words. I look forward to watching Tenley's continued progression at the Haven. This is only the beginning of many more milestone to come.
