I have never felt the need to give a negative review but I have no second thoughts about leaving a review for Applerouth's SAT course. It is the definition of a waste of money, and I want people to know what they are getting into. Here are things that happened while I took the SAT prep class: During one of the practice SATs, a cockroach crawled up my leg and obviously distracted me from my test. My teacher didn't offer to help and acted scared. I had to kill it myself while my time was running out. To add on, there was no AC in the building. Unless you are a cockroach, why in the world would you want to marinate for 2 1/2 hours in a building without AC in the MIDDLE OF JULY. All of the people taking the test were genuinely sweating. Next! I had two teachers who each taught about 4 classes, so 8 in total, and I think my knowledge may have regressed. The first guy seriously taught like he was picked off the street and asked "do you know how to add?" and then was hired. He tried to make jokes that weren't funny and he didn't have the basic knowledge to teach an SAT class. Once we were doing a problem and I got my answer, shared my answer, and he said we will see if I'm right at the end of the problem. So then the whole class works through the problem about 90%, and goes onto the next problem. I asked what the final answer was, because he never shared it, and guess what he said!! He said "oh I didn't work out the whole problem cause my knowledge stops at Algebra 1"! what I'm sorry what I honestly thought I was getting pranked. How are you teaching an SAT class and you don't work out the full problem??? I jumped for joy when I went to a class and he wasn't our teacher anymore! But my hopes were too high, because the next lady shocked me even more! She was late to EVERY class, at least 30 mins but more than likely an hour late. First of all, that is disrespectful of our time. And if teenagers can be on time to an SAT class, what the hell is up with an adult that can't?? Low bar people, low bar. She also, didn't teach well. Better than the guy, but not well at all. I was about to loose my shit when she wasn't even phased that she was late. If I was late, you wouldn't be hearing the end of my sorrys. I just don't get it, if you choose the time of the class as the teacher, BE THERE ON TIME To wrap this mess up, do not send your kid here if you're a parent or don't choose this SAT class if you're a student. I really wished I was being fooled on a prank show because I couldn't believe these people. That's it's ‍

Mathnasium of Smyrna has given Lourdham the confidence to explore and ask questions. The staff over the years has always been helpful and knowledgeable and always attentive. I am grateful to the Director Ms. Shalini for providing a location that really cares about Lourdham's growth in the subject of math. I was honest and basically said I didn't think he was very good. They cancelled my remaining classes with that instructor, apparently the instructor said I was argumentative and a bunch of BS that was not true AT ALL. Complete lies. They also sent an e-mail to my boss, who was paying for the training, telling them lies about how I was disrupting the class and etc. The class was all virtual, I had hoped it was all recorded WHICH IT SHOULD BE IF ITS VIRTUAL, that is an easy thing to do, keeps everyone accountable, and allows students to rewatch trainings. However, no, it was not recorded so it was just my word vs the instructor and I could not prove otherwise. In short, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. Use someone else. Not only are they bad teachers but they lied and went out of their way to smear me to my boss.

I interviewed over 10 counseling companies and none knew bs/md the way moon prep does. I was very impressed how every counselor on the team has extensive knowledge in this area. Truly, this is what the company is known for. Competitors gave vague answers and I could tell this was not their specialty at all. Bs/md programs are expensive, a private school can cost $75k a year and times that by 7 or 8 years for bs/md program. So I do not recommend trying to skimp on the help your child needs to get into this type of competitive program. It's more than worth the money to hire a professional counselor to guide your child. My son was accepted to numerous bs/md programs and with scholarships too. We are thrilled.
