There were only 1 or 2 IPhones to choose from While looking at one the clerk began plugging it and began transferring info to my phone before really making up my mind. We stopped in to look at Consumer Cellular phones and find out more about the plans, etc. It was after 4:00 on a Tuesday, the store was not busy and Austin came to ask if he could help. This young man was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions as well as my 80+ mother's questions. When he said that she could cancel the plan within 45 days but couldn't return the phone if we bought it there, I knew we wouldn't be buying--but he still took the time to talk with us and make sure we knew our options. BEWARE TOURISTS DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Came in yesterday looking for an HDMI adapter, two gentlemen working seemed very nice, helped us look at some radios as well. Before our purchase was completed we specifically asked the return policy in case the item didn't work or it wasn't needed after all. The gentlemen told us that as long as had the receipt and the item was unopened we would be able to allow returns. Came back less than 24 hours to return the item since our TV in our hotel didn't work at all, wouldn't even turn on. We walk in and the first thing they say is they don't allow returns for tourists-- keep in mind this ISNT stated anywhere in their store-- we explain we never used it, our TV didn't work and it wasn't necessary and we are also only halfway through our vacation AND we asked specifically for the return policy yesterday and were told we were allowed to make a return. The owner of the store didn't care, in fact he argued with us and told us that our product looked opened so that's why he won't allow the return (although in the beginning he said nothing about the package -- which was not opened). The gentlemen also denied telling us we could return it. The owner refused to refund our money, said store credit is all he will do and left the store. As we are still discussing this with the store employees, one customer is processing a return for an opened product, even though the owner just said we weren't allowed to return an opened item. We were clearly unhappy and asked why that customer is allowed to process that return and we are not. They said because he bought it that same day, even though our item was purchased less than 24 hours ago. Horrible management and customer service, seems like it could've been a biased experience since we are of color as well and the entire management is Caucasian. One would never believe that in Wisconsin small town, you can find such a place that employs the most knowledgeable people and carries the latest products. These people are able to fix some computer related issues right there while you are waiting. I could never find that good of the service in Chicagoland. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU ARE A TOURIST!!! I was shopping in the store today and a gentleman came in with an item he had just purchased before the store closed last night. The gentleman had his original receipt and was apparently told (by the worker) that sold him the item that he could return it as long as he had the receipt. When the gentleman came into the store today the Owner happened to be in the store at the time. After the gentleman was told he could only receive 'store credit' by the cashier the Owner interjected and reiterated that he would receive store credit 'only' or he could keep the item. The gentleman went on to explain that he was vacationing and did not need anything else from the store (the item he was purchasing was not the correct item and the store did not carry the one he needed). He was almost pleading with the owner to allow the return (which clearly states in the return policy). The Owner refused to return the item and the gentleman accepted the store credit and left the store. I was shocked that an 'owner' of a store would treat customers so rudely. This had to be the worst case of poor customer service I've seen in a long time. After watching this ordeal, I kindy put my items back and left the store. I refuse to do business with an owner that cares more for product than people. I hope the owner is reading this review... Sir, you should be ashamed of yourself and the law of reciprocity will definitely pay you a visit. Maybe you should humble yourself and learn to give and 'serve'. WARNING this place isnt even A Radio Shack on the recept it said Kruschel Electronice LLC A Radio Shack Dealer. When you walk in the door you are attacked by five young men working here all trying to sell you stuff. They all seemed to be standing around doing nothing just talking to one another. I bought A cell phone charger kit here when I was on vacation here at the Dells. I paid $75 for A car charger kit that fits most cell phones. The kit had loads of parts to attach based on what cell phone you had and when you plugged it in there was A loud sound that would go through the radio. I had no other way of charging my phone so I had to put up with it. When I got back home to Chicago Illinois I thought I can take this back to any Radio Shack and they would give me my money back I was WRONG! I went to four different Radio Shack stores and not one would help me they said they are not affiliated with that store that its just a Radio Shack Dealer. This is very deceptive to use the radio Shack name and not even be A Radio Shack I dont know how these people get away with it. WARNING STAY AWAY!!!! read more
